Power sector: Liberalized in the 1990s (CIPREL and AZITO). WWB and IMF lobbied a tariff

increase.

Oil sector: Objective of oil production to 200,000 bl/d (from 30,000 bl/d). LNG import to sustain

power development.

Recent projects

• CIPREL IV and AZITO 2 connected in 2016 and additional extension granted;

• Soubré 270 MW HPP to be commissioned end 2017.

Pilot Solar Home Systems deployment with Orange

in Divo;

Soubré hydrodam: Tractebel as owner’s engineers

(275 MW);

CIPREL IV: Tractebel as owner’s engineers (275 MW);

Energy services and energy efficiency to large

industrial customers and large infrastructures;
