CT309 - Customer Success Story: Knauf Insulation uses Endress+Hauser Transmitters and Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk View SE / Logix controllers to operate a world class eco-friendly insulation production facility: In 2007/08 Knauf Insulation implemented a plant wide control system using Rockwell Automation Controls and Endress+Hauser Transmitters. In operation for 7 years, Kevin Cork will discuss the success and lessons learned from this application, current controls maintenance practices and Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) Knauf uses to improve the plant’s ongoing performance. It’s Knauf Insulation number one priority to provide products and services that conserve energy and preserve natural resources for a sustainable future.

CT282- Calibration: Increase your uptime and improve plant performance The overall performance of measurement instruments is directly linked to calibration quality. A discussion on exciting new programs designed to help you improve facility performance and UP-TIME through calibration management solutions. The last part of the session we will show you a live calibration demonstration using a state-of-the-art portable flow-rig and our laboratory flow rig.
L08 - Improve Design and Installation Flexibility Through PlantPAx Device Network System Integration: Learn how to simplify the configuration of smart process instrumentation via Ethernet/IP, HART, FOUNDATION Fieldbus and PROFIBUS PA through device integration tools and documents.

L12 - Introduction to Configuring and AADvance Process Safety Solution: The AADvance solution is a truly distributed, scalable architecture comprised of a hardware controller and a software environment that allows you to apply different levels of module redundancy as required by specific parts of your application. It offers a high level of flexibility from small quantity I/O to large systems, non-safety to SIL 3, and fail-safe to multiple fault tolerant. L16 - Introduction to the PlantPAx Process Automation System for Operations and System Engineering: This two part lab examines the PlantPAx System within a simulated plant environment through the eyes of an operator OR system engineer. As an operator, learn about navigating and interfacing with the system in a utilities and batch area. As an engineer, learn how to execute simple configuration changes and add a new control strategy using the PlantPAx Library. Ideal for those seeking basic familiarity with the PlantPAx system.
L28 - Build an Information System on Your Rockwell Automation Process Application: An introductory lab to learn how to fully integrate and view data and extract Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from a Rockwell Automation systems with FactoryTalk VantagePoint EMI using FactoryTalk Live Data (Logix PACs, FactoryTalk View, etc.) and FactoryTalk Historian.
