Two Los Angeles police officers Taylor and Zavala patrol the city's meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. The action unfolds through footage from the handheld HD cameras of the police officers, gang members, surveillance cameras, and citizens caught in the line of fire to create a riveting portrait of the city's most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.

As well as directing End of watch, David Ayer also wrote it as well.Previous films he had directed include Street Kings and Hard Times both of which being Crime films.
Production.
Writer-Director David Ayer wrote End of Watch in six days. The filming started in August of 2012 and took 13 months until it was finished.
End of Watch had a Production Budget of $7million and was filmed mainly in LA and California
Distribution
Open Road distributed End of Watch in the US whilst Studio Canal were international distributor's for the UK.
September 21 2012 was the original release date for the film in the US. It was released on the 23rd November for the UK and on the 7th December it was re-released for the US.

The premiere was held in Los Angeles four days before the films US Release date.
