June 17, 2016 Dear Saint Paul School Community, With many successes we have just completed the 2015-2016 school year. I encourage you to take a few moments this weekend to read the end of year letter that was sent home with report cards and NWEA MAP Student Progress Reports for students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. I leave you with an End of School Year Prayer and wish you safety and family time this summer. Sincerely, Ms. Lisa M. It has been a time filled with grace and blessings, With challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows. The days have passed quickly, O Lord. The weeks, the months, the seasons, the holidays and holy days, The exams, vacations, breaks, and assemblies, All have come forth from your hand. While we trust that your purposes have always been at work each day, Sometimes it has seemed difficult to understand and appreciate Just what you have been up to in our school. Give us the rest and refreshment we need this summer. Let our efforts of this past year bear fruit. our school on Wednesday. We were honored with Ella performing

as "Chef for the Day" (a Spring GalaAuction Experience).

Mrs. Knobloch was so grateful for herexcellent assistance and cheery

McCarthy and the Kindergarten to lead the group in a sing-along. Thestudents went home with the memory book they have been buildingthroughout the school year - a treasure for all.

ICE CREAM JOYGrade 1

First Grade took a field trip to Nona lastFriday to celebrate earning "gems" byfollowing their Grade 1 Class Constitution.During this delicious adventure, our studentsalso learned more about independence - byplacing the order and making the payment(counting all change) for their own request.

CHARLESTOWN NAVYYARD & BUNKER HILLGrade 5

On June 9th, students in Grade 5traveled to Charlestown where theyenjoyed the hands-on experiences ofthe Constitution Museum in themorning. They walked the Freedom Trailup to the Bunker Hill Monument, atelunch, rolled down the hill, playedfootball, had ice-cream from the IceCream truck and then climbed the 294stairs to the top of the monument. Allstudents and chaperones made it to thetop rather quickly!!

It was a great day with perfect weatherand very well behaved students

FLOWERS FORQUINCYHistory Club & NJHS

Members of the HistoryClub and NJHS did anabsolutely beautiful jobhand-painting flowerpotsand filling all with plantsfor the NeighborWorksHousing Complex inQuincy. These gorgeous

pots will be placed around the main entrance of the complex.NeighborWorks greatly appreciated all of the time, care and servicethe students shared this year supporting their newly built Veteranshome.

SPS MIDDLE SCHOOLMISSION TRIP:GUATEMALAApril 17-24, 2017

We are so pleased to share that Señora Monnich is planning a newMiddle School International Excursion for April 2017. This excursionwill be a Mission Trip for Middle School students to Guatemala.

During this one-week service trip to the NPH home in Guatemala,your student will experience first hand how NPH USA transforms the

Last Sunday we joined together on agorgeous morning to support eachother, our exciting rides and such a

lives of children! Our students and parent chaperones will meet theamazing children, staff, and volunteers of NPH and learn about theirdaily lives by participating right alongside them. While the children arein school or activities, SPS will help out around the home(landscaping, helping out on the NPH farm, working in the kitchen,assisting with special needs children, etc.). Relax or hang out with thechildren in the afternoon-play a soccer game or plan a group activity.In the evening join the children for dinner, help them with theirhomework, and spend time together. Our week will also include twotouring excursions to scenic locations in the area. More details will be shared in the Summer Mailing going out thisAugust and during the Curriculum Night meeting in September.
