!!!1 SELECT STRATEGIES
Use Part 1 of the Employee Engagement Template to list, prioritize and start planning your employee engagement activities.
Employee engagement can become an important part of your management processes. It is possible to start small and build upon successes achieved. Thefollowing strategies identify the associated estimated time commitment and cost to implement, as well as additional details; decide which ones best fit your needs. Strategies such as these can be used to move employees from awareness to engagement and action.

2 SCHEDULE ACTIVITIES
Once you have selected the strategies to include in your employee engagement plan, decide when, how and who will implement them. Plan your activities for the next year or simply focus on the next few months to build momentum.
Use Part 2 of the Employee Engagement Template to record your planned activities for the year. Post this calendar in a public location or circulate it to your employees to let them know about upcoming activities.
3 SEEK FEEDBACK
It is important to seek ongoing feedback from your employees on your engagement strategy once it is implemented.
Feedback can come from informal conversations, comments in a feedback box, intranet forum, or through a more formal annual survey. A survey of employee awareness and sustainability knowledge can measure the effectiveness of your awareness-raising and training strategies. A survey of employee satisfaction and general feedback on employee engagement can help you identify the strategies that resonate most with your employees and seek opportunities to improve engagement.
Use Part 3 of the Employee Engagement Template – a survey – to solicit feedback from your employees on your hotel’s employee engagement program. Adapt this survey with your own questions and answers to be useful for your hotel’s program.
Based upon employee feedback, you may wish to revisit your strategies and actions to improve results. Consider employee awareness, level of engagement, satisfaction and suggestions when planning your activities for the next year.
Remember, implementing and maintaining a robust employee engagement program can improve your Green Key Rating.
