UC – The Future Begins Meeting Exchange – Conference Bridge Selector

Conferences with 6 parties or less should use the free PBX based conference service (Meet-Me Conferencing). A large percentage of current conferences which are setup on the large scale conference bridges are 6 parties or less and do not require recording. Misuse of internal Conferencing service options is a costly annual expense. Expensive conference ports are unnecessarily utilized.Users choose large conference bridge because they know it will work for all conference sizes. Users prefer having to use a single conferencing facility.

Challenge

SolutionThe SIP A/S determines whether the free ‘Meet-Me bridge’ or the ‘Meeting Exchange conference bridge’ is used.

Conference users dial the same number for all conference calls.

Conference server port usage is greatly reduced.

Conference server facilities may be consolidated.
