units, all with microprocessor technology.
The major novelties lie in the latest
generation PR113 release, the
improvement of the PR112 functions and,
lastly, in the PR112/PD and PR113/PD
protection and communication releases.

With Emax power circuit breakers you can always choose the amount of
intelligence you need. Like the PR113-A, the latest generation of trip
units for Emax, which provides a complete set of protection functions,
measurements signalling, data storage and control functions. Equipped
with a big a clear graphic display, this new trip unit is available in two
different version, wiyh or without communication capabilities. The
PR112-A releases have also been improved and new functions have been
added, like the five languages available to help the setting. And there are
not only protection functions, but also communication capabilities that
allow the breaker to be used in the most advanced automation and
control systems, using the Modbus® protocols.
All the electrical accessories are pre-wired
and thanks to the easy and safe mounting
can be installed in the field directly by the
end user.

tures characterising this new type of electronic release.
The PR113 brilliantly carries out circuit-breaker
protection, signalling, data storage and control functions.
The big and clear LCD in addition to the normal data,
is also able to display diagrams, histograms and relative
wave forms, to provide more complete and convenient
service. The PR113 can be selected either in the protec-
tion only, or in the protection plus dialogue version.
PR111 and PR112.
Electronic releases for all needs.
With Emax you can select the
right trip unit to fit all the differ-
ent customer needs. PR111 and
PR112 guarantee high protection and safety functions
as well as absolute trip precision. There are innumerable
setting possibilities, protection against all
types of fault, control of the main elec-
trical values, possibility of dialogue with
computerised systems and operation
without the need of an auxiliary power
supply; these are just some of the per-
formances of the trip units which are
available to design increasingly state-of-
the-art installations.
PR112/PD and PR113/PD.
Communication releases.
These new microprocessor-based releases not only carry
out an excellent protection function, but also a dialogue
function. They are able to communicate with the most
advanced automation and control systems for low voltage
installations. The communication protocol available is
Modbus®, used both in the service and industrial
sectors and which nowadays represent
the communication standard of
automation systems.

The UL 1066 certification allows Emax to be used
in UL 1558 switchgears, UL891 Low Voltage
switchboards and CSA C22.2 no. 31 Switchgear
Assemblies.
All the Emax circuit breakers and their accessories
are also available in the versions complying with
the International IEC 60947, EN 60947
(harmonized in 17 CENELEC countries), CEI EN
60947 and IEC 61000 Standards and conform
with the following EC directives:
