This Fluid Extract is composed of equal quantities of Buchu, Pareira Brava,and Collinsonia Canadensis.

PAPOMA.A nutritious and easily digested food for Infants and Adult Invalids.

SACCHARATED PEPSIN.(Pepsin Porci.)

Pepsin obtained from the Stomach of the Pig, in a pure and palatable form.This is a concentrated preparation ofPepsin, containing the digestive prin-

ciple of the gastric juice in a very active state.Ten grains dissolved in two ounces of water, acidulated with fifteen minims

of Muriatic Acid, will digest from 250 to 300 grains of raw Beef (fibrine), de-prived of fat and muscular tissue, at 106° F. in six hours.

PURE PEPSIN.This is pure Pepsin, and represents, in the most concentrated-form, the di-

gestive principle contained.in the stomachof the Pig, the only addition beingofsufficient Sugar ofMilk, toenable us to reduce it to powder. For StrengthandPurity, we believe it to be unequalled by any Pepsin manufactured.

One grain dissolved in two ounces of water, acidulated with fifteen minimsof Muriatic Acid, will digest from 250 to 300 grains of raw Beef (flbrine), de-prived of fat and muscular tissue at 105° F. in six hours.

The preparation of drugs in such a form as to be at once efficient and readily ad-ministered, is a matter of the utmost importance, alike to physicians and patient.In this respect, great advances have been made of late years; but we think we canconfidently claim that our Compressed Powders are farsuperior to any of the otherimproved medicaments hitherto introduced.

These “Compressed Powders,” made by dry compression, are free from the coat-ings that render many other Pills objectionable.

They are readily soluble or diffusible, and being flat in shape, are more easilyswallowedthan those of any other form.

They are smooth, glossy, and elegant in appearance, and are made only of thepurest materials.
