Lightning Protection System (LPS)
The STONYTRACK Facility Protection System is a comprehensive, coordinated approach to complete Facility Protection from
lightning and transient currents. It incorporates nationally and internationally recognized system designs to completely protect
facilities from all of harmful effects of lightning. We are providing Lightning Protection Design as per NFPA-780, Products
Supply and Installation, Engineering and Education Services.
LPS DESIGN SERVICES ENGINEERING SERVICES
Every year there are 2,500-3,000 million lightning ground strikes affecting 30% of our country
Businesses & causing over $75 million in damage and more than 200 loss of life in Bangladesh
STONYTRACK’s Technical services people are real-
world experience and a scientific, engineering process
to design LPS that meet or exceed any site’s LPS
requirements. With years of combined engineering
experience our team provides unmatched expertise in
all aspects of LPS for your site and facility.
We are dedicated to engineering extraordinary solutions
for our clients. Keep up-to-date on STONYTRACK’s
White Papers, Specifications and Drawings by clicking
on the icons below. Leading the industry with our
comprehensive total site and facility protection systems
and solutions, STONYTRACK continues to heighten the
industry standard with our innovative products and
solutions.
Electrical Single Line Diagram (SLD)
To meet NFPA 70E requirements, STONYTRACK can conduct a comprehensive site survey to
develop single-line diagrams for your facility or to update existing diagrams. Including:
Inventory of equipment
Verify existence of as-built drawings and that they are adequately available
Verify process is in place that ensures the as-built drawings are maintained in a current
condition
Confirm loads connected to emergency/standby feeders
Verify potential single points of failure
Evaluate design redundancy of critical systems (N, N+1, N+2...) and whether all critical
equipment can be maintained without a shutdown
Report that outlines the findings by site along with recommended actions
Update customer-provided single-line drawings down to the 480V Distribution Switchboards
Provide a copy of single-line electrical diagram in AutoCAD format
Post as-built drawings at each facility
An up-to-date single-line diagram is vital for a variety of service activities including:
Short circuit calculations Coordination studies Load flow studies Safety evaluation studies All other engineering studies Electrical safety procedures Efficient maintenance

By detecting areas of abnormal temperature, STONYTRACK Infrared Thermography Surveys include:
Diagnosing problem areas and determining their severity in electrical systems, mechanical equipment, roofs and building envelopes.
Pinpointing non-uniformity of temperature within process applications to resolve variances and deficiencies.
Realizing substantial and quantifiable operational cost savings through the application of infrared imaging techniques.
Training in-house thermographs’ to ensure they remain up-to-date on the latest technological advances in infrared applications.
Severity and impact ratings for each finding.
On-site report delivery for immediate action.
Summary of findings, equipment inventory listing, trending and business impact analysis, all available through our online data management system.
If the live wire touches the grounded case then the circuit is effectively shorted
and fuse will immediately blow. When the fuse is blown then the dangerous
voltages are away.

The earth is the most omnipresent conductive surface, and so it was
adopted in the very beginnings of electrical distribution systems as a nearly
universal standard for all electric systems.
