Education with practical orientation is very important.

Enrollment rates(96%) will not speak of the quality of education

This pyramid clearly emphasizes that the learning methods should be carefully selected

Effective learning methods should be followed rather than lecturing and reading

Textbooks should be replaced with e- learning systems.

One of the boons for today's generation is technology

Government of India in a initiative to use technology in education introduced aakash tabs which is a healthy sign

Again just distributing the tablets is not sufficient

1. Updating should be done

2. The children should be taught optimum use of the tab.

The student is burdened with lot of unnecessary information even from his kindergarten

For a country which is still struggling to get the kids in to schools it is very much necessary to simplify the content and make it more student friendly

The course should be modified to suit the needs of the children today using most modern technology

this can be done by Dividing the entire education system in to 4 levels

Level 1

only mathematics and a language of communication for the 1 st 7 years of formal education

having a grip on mathematics will develop the mental ability of the child and hence an ability to grasp anything that is taught later on.

Page 5: eLcAnNiP

Level 2-

from 11 to 13 years the child should be exposed to a eclectic reading – I.e. knowing all the subjects superficially

Level 3-

by the 13 year the child will know what he is interested in and will be allowed to do a course of his own choice.

The course design will be such that all the fields like agriculture , pottery, shoe making ,gardening, cooking and all such others will be included in the curriculum for the child to study.

E.g.: if he is from an agrarian background and is interested in studying agriculture his course will include every thing from soil sciences, the engineering part required, the management aspects with respect to agriculture, global and domestic market demand for his produce, entreprenuaral endeavors etc in a very comprehensive manner which will be useful for him practically.

Page 6: eLcAnNiP

Sports, games and other such extracurricular should be included in the curriculum, if a child wants to excel in sports his curriculum should include the physical principles involved in sports , management of team etc.

By the end of the 4 year course he will be equipped with quality information which he can put in to use immediately after completing the course.

Level 4 -it is the specialization after the 3 rd level. Can be taken up if the child has financial support

This system has many uses

1. the child can gain the earning capacity by the time he reaches 16 years

2. Mad rush for specific courses will reduce as all the courses will help earn money

3. And most important is the child's capacities are fully utilized by the country which will help the country prosper.

4. Burden on the government is reduced

History of India(independence movements, other basics of Indian political system, great leaders and dictators), etc can be made in to video aided lessons and delivered for an hour every week and a quiz conducted instead of depending on traditional methods of teaching through textbook.

Parental awareness

Parents are unaware of what is going on in the school and hence are not able

to help the children. This is not only the case with children of government schools but also of the children who go to private schools

Can be changed by giving counseling to parents in the schools once in a month.

Stress free environment can be given to the kids only if parents are aware, and only if they are enlightened

Page 8: eLcAnNiP

Hence parental counseling should be a part of the school curriculum

These programmers should help the parents facilitate the child in identifying his talent

Research proves that the environment (school and home for a kid) has a great impact on the kids development. The way a child is treated by her parents, as well as other caregivers, has an impact on how she grows and develops. Parents who cultivate individuality help their child feel accepted and loved.

A loving and supportive environment helps children focus on learning and growing instead of having to worry about gaining acceptance and praise. Helping children solve problems and learn new things and spending quality time together are effective ways to nurture children and help them develop.

Nutritional disorders and health issues. Nutritional intake plays a vital role in a child's growth and development,

according to the World Health Organization.

Lack of proper nutrition can interfere with the maturation of your child's brain and body.

Children who are malnourished are at a disadvantage when it comes to cognitive and physical development because their brains and bodies don't have the nutrition they need to grow.

Again parents must be made aware of the impact of nutrition on child's development

a survey says that 96% of women below poverty line do not know about malnutrition and hence this becomes very important

Social and caste problems especially in rural India

One very important factor in determining the enrollment rates. A lot of kids drop out unable to take the bias and discrimination

This can only be eliminated by awareness and through education

Unregulated privatization of education Aided schools- private schools with government aid
