Washington, DC - Taxpayers can get the most out of various tax benefits and get a jump on preparing their 2013 federal income tax returns by consulting a newly revised comprehensive tax guide now available on IRS.gov.Publication 17, Your Federal Income

Tax, features details on taking advantage of a wide range of tax-saving opportunities, such as the American Opportunity Tax Credit for parents and college students, and the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit for low and moderate income workers. It also features a rundown on tax changes for 2013 including information on revised tax rates and new limits on various tax benefits for some taxpayers. This useful 292 page guide also provides thousands of interactive links to help taxpayers quickly get answers to their questions.Publication 17 has been published

annually by the IRS since the 1940s and has been available on the IRS web site since 1996. As in prior years, this publication is packed with basic

tax-filing information and tips on what income to report and how to report it, figuring capital gains and losses, claiming dependents, choosing the standard deduction versus itemizing deductions, and using IRAs to save for retirement.

Besides Publication 17, IRS.gov offers many other helpful resources for those doing year-end tax planning. Many 2013 forms are already posted, and updated versions of other forms, instructions and publications are being posted almost every day. The forms and publications available from the wesite are the most current versions available. All products have a revision date, showing the year or month and year the product was revised. Osceola Escuelas / SchoolsDistrito Escolar cumple con los requisitos de la enmienda al tamaño de las clases

Condado Osceola, F.L. - En el 2002, los ciudadanos aprobaron una enmienda a la Constitución de Florida que establece límites al número de estudiantes en las clases de asignaturas básicas, tales como, matemáticas, inglés, estudios sociales y ciencia en las escuelas públicas del Estado. A través del arduo trabajo de administradores de las escuelas y el personal, la superintendente Melba Luciano se enorgullece al informar que el Distrito Escolar de Osceola cumple totalmente con la enmienda al tamaño de las clases para este año escolar. Chapter 2011-55, Laws of Florida. Superintendent Luciano and School Board members felt that it is impractical and disruptive to student learning to not permit the flexibility. A student who enrolls in a school after the October Membership Survey may now be assigned to an existing class that temporarily exceeds the maximum number of students assigned to each teacher. The Board’s approval allows up to three students to be assigned to a teacher in kindergarten through Grade 3 and up to five students in Grades 4-12 above the maximum.The Osceola County School District

will continue its successful efforts to meet class size by providing adequate staffing resources and monitoring core course class size for the current and upcoming school years.

They’ve signed up either for private insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace or for the Medicaid program. There’s still time for you to enroll and have coverage as soon as February 1. All you have to do is sign up with the Health Insurance Marketplace by January 15. The Health Insurance

Marketplace helps people who need health coverage to find it. When you fill out the Marketplace application, you’ll find out if you qualify for a private health insurance plan and whether you qualify for lower costs based on your household size and income. Some people may qualify for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs in their state. Even if you don’t qualify for lower costs, you can still use the Marketplace to buy insurance. There are three ways for you

to get covered. You can enroll

online (HealthCare.gov), over the phone (800-318-2596), or with in-person assistance (localhelp.healthcare.gov). You’ll have the opportunity to compare private plans side-by-side and choose the one that fits your family and budget. There are 4 steps you can take to be sure you’re ready for your coverage to begin:

1. Pay your premium to your health insurance plan by the due date.

Others went to he Berlinski Community House where thousands of free toys were also given away. Business Council of the Kissimmee/Osceola Chamber of Commerce, the Council on Aging, volunteers from companies and community organizations and cadets from the Squadron 469 along with Osceola County Commissioners John Quiñones and Frank Attkinsson and City of Kissimmee Commissioners Wanda Rentas, Sara Shaw and Jose Alvarez happily shared their time to make the kids smile while handing them bikes

and toys. At the stage, Paula Machado, reporter from Infomas was the host of the event.The Kissimmee Police

Department gave a free helmet to every child who won a bike and along with the Osceola County Sheriff Department both were of a great value by helping with the event to go smooth and safe.

Many cultures throughout the world celebrate the 3 Kings Day, remembering the day when the 3 Wise Men followed the star of Bethlehem to give their treasured gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the baby Jesus. In Osceola County, the Hispanic Business Council decided to adopt this practice to bring a little bit of joy to all

the kids in Osceola and Central Florida.This event could have not

Thomas Henry Berry, de 39 años y su hija Maya Berry Spears de 5 años por la autopista Puerto Cabello-Valencia, en Venezuela, cuando su coche se averió, dijeron las autoridades. Ladrones armados abrieron fuego, matando a ambos e hirieron a su niña que ahora se recupera de un tiro en la pierna.La familia estaba de vacaciones y viajaba en un

Venezuela - Former Miss Venezuela, model and telenovela actress Mónica Spear died after an attempted robbery on Monday, January 6th night.The 29-year-old star was

traveling with her husband, Thomas Henry Berry, 39 and their daughter Maya Berry Spear, 5 on the Puerto Cabello-Valencia highway in Venezuela when their car broke down, officials said. Armed robbers opened fire, killing both of them and injured their little girl who is recovering from a shot in her leg.The family was on vacation for

the holidays and was traveling in a grey 2002 Corolla Toyota at the time of the attack. Monica was currently living in Miami and was expected to return to the United States this week.

Spear won the title of Miss Venezuela in 2004 and participated in Miss Universe 2005 in Thailand. Before being a Miss she graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2004 with a bachelor of arts in theater. Her family lives in Orlando, FL.In 2013 more people were

were finally able to waive Hedo Turkoglu last Friday. Turkoglu played for the Magic in 2009 when the Magic were the Eastern Conference champions. He was traded to Phoenix for one season then found himself back in Orlando. Turkoglu had a rough season last year injuring his hand in the first game of the season. Upon his return to the court he tested positive for PEDs and was suspended for the

majority of the rest of last season. The Magic front office agreed to work out a buyout with Turkoglu and his agent. After months of negotiations they were finally able to waive Turkoglu before his entire contract became guaranteed. The following night the Magic hosted

the Miami Heat. Nik Vucevic was still out with a sprained ankle. Coach Jacque Vaughn started Glen Davis at center and Andrew Nicholson. Nicholson only played six minutes before being taken out of the game permanently. While he has made huge strides in improving this season, his defensive struggles and inconsistent play continue to affect his playing time. Orlando played well with the Heat even grabbing the lead in the third quarter. But while Lebron James led the Heat on an impressive run, the Magic were struggling to make their shots. Orlando shot only 41 percent this game and would lead to their third consecutive loss. The final score read 94 to 110. Following the game, the Magic

waived Solomon Jones. Jones was signed before training camp as a free agent. The Magic began a five game road

trip on Monday. First stop was in L.A. to face the Clippers. Nik Vucevic started for Orlando but was quickly rushed to locker room after a head injury. After being examined it was determined

that Vucevic obtained a concussion. Because this is his second concussion since March he will be required to follow league guidelines before being cleared to play. The Clippers played an impressive first quarter and took a 36 to 18 lead over the Magic. Orlando was never able to get it back. The 101 to 81 loss was another upset the Magic have to deal with. Orlando traveled to Portland to

noviembre de 2013, cuando los agentes tomaron un informe de una madre de un incidente lascivo e impúdico. La madre dijo a los agentes que su hija de 14 años estaba recibiendo mensajes de texto inapropiados de Laurencio que vive en la misma comunidad. La niña de 14 años de edad conoció a Laurencio cuando estaba en la parada del autobús escolar en la comunidad. Laurencio le pidió intercambiar números de teléfono para que su hijo y el hermano de la víctima pudieran jugar juntos ya que tenían la misma edad. Laurencio comenzó a enviarle a la víctima mensajes de texto inapropiados de índole sexual a pesar de que la víctima no se los respondía. Cuando la madre de la víctima vio estos mensajes ella contactó a la Oficina del Sheriff.

Como parte de la investigación, los detectives comenzaron a enviar mensajes de texto desde el teléfono de la víctima a Laurencio. Sin darse cuenta de que no se comunicaba con la víctima, Laurencio envió mensajes sexuales inapropiados y en uno de los mensajes, Laurencio envió una foto de sí mismo lo que asistió a los detectives con la localización de este en el vecindario. Él fue llevado para ser interrogado y cooperó con la investigación, diciendo a los detectives que envió a la víctima numerosos mensajes sexuales, plenamente consciente de la edad de la misma. En base a sus declaraciones y

detectives arrested William Gustavo Laurencio and charged him with Lewd & Lascivious Conduct, Unauthorized Use of an Electronic Device, Unlawful Use of a 2 Way Communication Device and Transmission of Harmful Materials to Minors. The investigation began in November 2013, when

deputies took a report from a mother of a lewd and lascivious incident. The mother told deputies her 14-year old daughter was receiving inappropriate text messages from Laurencio who lives in the same community. The 14-year old girl met Laurencio when she was at her school bus stop in the neighborhood. Laurencio asked to exchange phone numbers so that his son and the victim’s brother could play together since they were the same age. Laurencio began texting the victim inappropriate sexual messages even though the victim did not respond back. When the victim’s mother saw these messages she contacted the Sheriff’s Office.As part of the investigation, detectives began

texting Laurencio messages from the victim’s phone. Unaware he was not communicating with the victim, Laurencio sent inappropriate sexual messages and in one of the messages, Laurencio sent a picture of himself which assisted detectives with locating him in the neighborhood. He was brought in for questioning and cooperated with the investigation, telling detectives he sent the victim numerous sexual messages, fully aware of the victim’s age.
