Who can attend? Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Special-Educators, Educators, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Post Graduate Students, Parents and other professionals working with children with special needs and anyone who wants to develop his/her emotional intelligence. Only Limited seats are available and Registration is on first come-first serve basis. The course will be conducted subject to minimum ten participants and the date of the course is subject to change accordingly. Fee paid is nonrefundable and nontransferable and will not be adjusted towards any other purpose or training under any circumstances including for the reasons that change of date and or the participants unable to participate the program for any reason. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ONLINE CERTIFICATE COURSE DETAILS COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course introduces the professionals and parents to develop the ability to identify, understand, use and manage emotions of their own and the children they handle in an effective and positive way at school and home. There are more than one hundred activities for developing emotional intelligence which includes for developing communication skills, team building, and interpersonal skills. This course will focus on the five core competencies of emotional intelligence: Self-awareness, Self-regulation, Motivation, Empathy and Social skills. Participants will learn to develop and implement these competencies to enhance their relationships. These competencies are Personal competence which determines how we manage ourselves and Social Competence which determines how we handle relationships. Emotional Intelligence is a skill, and like any other skill, anyone can get better at it with training and practice. It allows you to read the style of individuals in both the workplace and at home, and adjust your communications accordingly.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participants will learn themselves and to teach their children and clients to:

1. Develop the ability to identify, understand, use and manage emotions of their own in an effective and positive way.

Awareness and Relationship Management. 6. Daniel Goleman’s five elements of emotional intelligence: Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation,

Motivation, Empathy and Social Skills. 7. Emotional Self-Awareness, Self-Regard, Self-Actualization, Emotional expression,

Interpersonal relationships, Empathy, Flexibility and Problem-solving. 8. Strategies for Self-awareness, Self-management, Social-awareness and Relationship

management. 9. Coaching model of emotional intelligence and core skills of coaching. 10. The role of values, beliefs and attitudes in coaching emotional intelligence. 11. Emotional intelligence and cognitive skills enhancement. 12. Identifying emotions and empathetic actions in emotional intelligence. 13. Developing emotional intelligence in children. 14. I. COURSE REQUIREMENTS: A. Prerequisite: Any Bachelor's degree, preferably in Psychology or Education or related field. B. Course Activities: Full participation in all activities and assignments is expected;

1. Online discussions. 2. Weekly Assignments. 3. Weekly Tests.

C. Course Time Required: C. Course Time Required: The time required to complete your course activities has been estimated as follows: 21hrs per week for two weeks. For online discussion and study 3 hours of flexible timing per day. Weekly tests to be done on Sundays. However particular week activities must be completed within that week only. The participants who pass the first week course activities only can continue in the Second week of the course.



D. Course Evaluation: There are three categories of evaluations that combine for the overall course grade that are online discussions, weekly tests and weekly assignments. Total marks for the course will be 500. The minimum 40% of marks scoring in each category per week is mandatory for certification. The participants who are incomplete or failed in the course activities can complete them with late fee/resubmission fee of ₹ 500/- for each activity per week. The category wise marks is as following:

1. Online discussions (100 Marks per week): 200; 2. Assignments (100 Marks per week): 200; 3. Tests (50 Marks per week): 100.

The course activities will begin from 06.00 p.m. on the first day and will end at 06.00 p.m. on the last day of the course. No extension of time will be given to complete the course works. Certificates will be issued only to the participants who participates in all the course activities and fulfil the course requirements. No Statement of Marks will be issued. The certificate will be sent to their communicative address after two weeks of the course. II. TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: The participants are expected to have minimum knowledge in Computer application. This is a two week online certificate course. Throughout the course, participants must have a personal computer desktop or laptop, an email account, active WhatsApp number, high-speed internet access, and a functioning web browser for online course work. The participants should make sure of their internet access and speed and availability of computer/laptop throughout the course period. On failure of any technical requirements including the internet access or for any other personal reasons no extension of time or change of time will be given to complete any of the course activities mentioned above. Course works cannot be done through Mobile phones/Smart phones. The course will be conducted through Learning Management Systems (LMS) software application. Participants will be given individual login ID and website link to access the course through e-mail on the first day of the course. Through LMS participants can download course materials, submit assignments and do all the course activities. Some part of reading materials and instructions shall be sent through email and WhatsApp. During the course period, the participants are advised to check their emails and WhatsApp messages every-day. Online discussions will be done through a Forum of LMS in flexible time. Participants can interact with instructor and other participants at their own convenient time through Forum of LMS. There is no fixed time for online discussions. There is no live videoconference teaching and meetings in this course and there is no audio or video files in this course.
