Success factors: High focus on teacher training/mentoring, worksheets for each students for each day, teachers note sheet, joyous learning environment.

Bharti Foundation’s schools in rural areas: 720 children in 3 schoolsSuccess factors: Free high quality education, focus on girls education, community involvement, 75% attendance of children.

Commitment to take children till 10th class Followed by vocational skill development program to end extreme poverty

2 Promoting culture of giving: 80 individual & corporate donors have contributed 43% of total spending (14.7m) With good base built in last four years witnessing increased interest to support. Raised visibility through participation in Airtel Delhi Marathon, policy conferences

and social media campaigns.

Uniqueness of the program Working with proven scalable models to create quick impact. Long term vision: Education > life skills > vocational training > out of extreme

poverty cycle. Flexibility to choose and support suitable model. Focus on extremely poor and vulnerable. 100% of donations for programs as all admin costs will be covered by trustees. Lean operations due to focus of working with other partners. Currently three staff

with 8 trustees and advisory board members volunteering. At peak operations will not be more than 5 core staff.
