A standard is a basis for comparison; a reference point against which other things can be evaluated.

A standard refers to what students should know and be able to do.

NETS Divided into six broad categories Standards within each category are to be

introduced, reinforced, and mastered by students.

Teachers can use these standards as guidelines for planning technology-based activities in which students achieve success in learning, communication, and life skills.
