Japan Alumni of Laos (JAOL)
1. Established in 11 May 2011.
2. Non-profit organization approved by Lao government under Lao –
Japan Friendship Association.
3. Three types of membership
3.1 Regular member: at least 6 months studied in Japan
3.2 Associate member: Never or less than 6 months in Japan
3.3 Support member: Legal persons registered in Laos.
At present, JAOL has around 500 members.
JAOL Objectives and rights of members
1. To increase the solidarity and net working among members
2. To contribute knowledge gained from Japan in developing Laos
3. To increase mutual understanding and enhance Lao-Japan
friendship.
4. To receive information from JAOL
5. To use common space at JAOL office as co-working space.
6. To have priority to attend activities and scholarship
7. To propose activities utilize JAOL budget
8. Have the right to be recruited as Board Committee
Activities of 2017
• 1 April, 2017 Sport event and Welcome party for new members
• 2 June, 2017 MEXT-ASJA scholarship for research students (2
persons)
• 3 August, 2017 Launching new Office
• 5-11 September, 2017 ASCOJA Conference in Brunei
• 5 October, 2017 JAOL event for Blood Donation
• 6 November, 2017 NIYE study visit in Japan for Highschool student
(6 persons)
• 7 December, 2017 End-Year Sport event
• 8 February, 2018 Annual Party and General Meeting
