High Commissioner, Smt Nagma M. Mallick, unfurling the National Flag
70th Independence Day of India celebrated in Brunei Darussalam The 70th Independence Day of India was celebrated with fervour and joy at the High Commission of India in Brunei Darussalam. High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam Nagma M. Mallick unfurled the National Tricolour in the presence of members of the Indian community in Brunei and friends of India. The gathering sang the National Anthem. The High Commissioner read out the President’s Address to the Nation on the eve of Independence Day. A short film, “70th Year of Independence: 70 Initiatives by the Modi Government for people’s welfare” was shown, in celebration of this milestone, highlighting 70 initiatives by the Government of India. The High Commissioner then interacted with the assembled members of the Indian community and friends of India gathered on the occasion. The ceremony ended with the serving of refreshments.
