Click when the Brick is first turned on until Bluetooth appears; select.
Scroll using the until the On/Off is reached. Bluetooth can be switched on or off.

Important: The Bluetooth connection will need to be set up on the Leader (or Master).
For the purpose of this connection the Leader (Master) will be Edddy,

Master Edddy Slave Freddy
. . . and the Follower (Slave) will be Freddy.

Establishing a Bluetooth ConnectionThe first time one NXT Brick is connected to another, it is necessary to search for it.
In the Bluetooth menu on the Leader robot, select the Search option
And wait . . . this can take a little while.

After the search is complete, an array of visible Bluetooth devices will appear.
Scroll using the left or right buttons until the Brick to connect to is identified; press select

Go through the Connection and Passkey screens without changing the default settings.

The Passkey screen on the other robot should also be accepted.

The robots should now be linked.

The Bluetooth Connection symbol should now be complete.
Running both the Leader (Master) and Follower (Slave) programs on the respective bricks should have
Bluetooth messages flying through the ether . . .
and robots telling each other what to do!

After a connection has been established, it is stored in the brick for easy “bluetoothing” later on.

Naming NXT Bricks
A name can be added to the brick as follows:
Ensure the brick is connected to the computer and NXT-G software is open.

Enter name here
Click the Button straight after the name is typed in.
Name will appear on the NXT Brick screen.
