Programme DescriptionThe aim of the programme is to provide participants with basic skills and tools to plan develop and conduct an effective training programme. Emphasis is placed on imparting practical skills and training methodologies to beginners /new trainers. Practicing trainers will also find this training useful to refresh and acquire additional knowledge.
The Targeted Audience is as follows: Trainers/Resource Persons from the different sectors of the economy, fresh graduates, unemployed professionals and any person who needs to facilitate training.
This programme has been designed specifically for new trainers /resource persons.
Course OutcomesAt the end of the programme, participants should be able to:
a) List the specificities of adult learning
b) Identify the characteristics of an effective trainer
c) Prepare a lesson plan
d) Plan a training programme
e) Use effective facilitation skills
f) Use reinforcement and motivational strategies
g) Assess the performance of trainees
About the TrainerMiddlesex Senior Lecturer with over 15 years of professional and academic experience. MQA registered professional trainer who has previously developed, organised and led“Train the Trainer programmes“ for the Government of Mauritius.
