Fundations: 10 minutes1) Drill-Sound Warmup - Assigned on Seesaw or have students look at the

Vowel Teams poster. Students should practice saying each vowel team. Example- e-e, jeep, /ee/

2.) Vowel Teams- Assigned on Seesaw or have students choose the correct vowel team to complete the words. Then, students should write a rhyming word. Example- book , nook

Reading/Writing: 40 minutesBuild a Reading Fort/Book Review

Assigned on Seesaw, or, pick a spot in your house or backyard where you can build a reading fort with your family. Use items from your home to build your fort.

1) Select a book to read inside your fort.

2) Use the template below to write a review of the book you are reading and send to your

teacher. Bonus! If you’d like, take a picture of your fort with you reading a book inside to send to your teacher, too!

Math: 30 minutes

1) 10-6 Day 2: Make a 10 to add – Assigned on Seesaw. Today, you will be learning more about how to make a 10 to add and use this strategy when solving word problems. This information is detailed in image A below. Then, in your Fundations Journal, please complete #9, #10, & #12 from image B below, by finding the important information in the problem, modeling the math with 10s and 1s, creating a new 10 if needed, and completing the equations. Looking for a challenge… try #11 as well! Complete the Exit Ticket in image C, below, by finding the missing addend in the equations to make 10.
