OHIO BIO-DECONTAMINATION COMPANY COMPLETES GOVERNMENT BIOSAFETY & BIOCONTAINMENT TRAINING PROGRAM

Fairlawn, OH: The Ecosense Company has successfully completed the National Biosafety and Biocontainment program (NBBTP) whose stated mission is to prepare biosafety and biocontainment professionals of the highest caliber to meet the needs of the biomedical, emerging disease and civilian biodefense research communities through the 21st century. The NBBTP program was conceived as a partnership between the Division of Occupational Health and Safety (DOHS) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. Program graduates must pass 10 exams associated with biosafety level three (BSL-3 & ABSL-3) operational issues. The Ecosense Company was the only bio-decontamination company selected to participate in the NBBTP program.
