handmade nature of production, to be

higher than standard factory-made

Timber treatmentPioneered by our company in

1995, the pine Ecoplus3 range

is treated with inorganic

boron-based mineral salts. As

well as being highly effective

against blue stain, rot and

mildew, borates are widely

recognised as the safest and

most environmentally benign

treatment available.

Natural timber finishesEcoplus3 is then finished with

OSMO natural plant based

finishes. OSMO finishes are

so safe they have been

deemed safe enough to use

on children’s toys (safety

standard EN 71). The finishes

rely on the natural ability of

certain plant oils to penetrate

deeply into and bond with the

timber surface, giving

exceptional durability. Plant

oil-based finishes make

maintenance and repainting

of Ecoplus3 incredibly easy as

there is no peeling, cracking

or blistering. Ecoplus3 can be

easily touched up by applying

an extra coat, without the

need for sanding and

laborious preparation.

environmental impact of

window manufacture and has

sustainable window design for

pioneered the use of safer

boron timber treatments and,

in 2005, was the first UK

manufactured range of windows

to be made using FSC Pure

100% timber. In 2009 the
