Generally, there was a fairly equal distribution of perfumes made in Spain, France, and the USA.

Sephora had many different products that came from many

different locations. However, the

greater majority of the products came from the USA, with quite an

emphasis in Italy as well.

but some select brands had more diversity.

USA products

Revlon and L'Oreal Paris (despite the product containing the name Paris) are both made exclusively in the USA.

RIMMEL LONDON, on the other hand, holds to its name, in that it is exclusively produced in England. It uses this as an advertising point with its slogan “Get the London Look.”

New York Color

New York color is the worst offender of using a misleading name. They have a variety of locations where their products are made. For example, they have lip gloss from PRC (a synonym for the Peoples Republic of China) and lip stain from Germany. They may be an example of a company that, instead of having a set location, freely buys and sells companies, and/or production locations, worldwide, as the bottom line dictates.

Hair Products

All the Shampoo and conditioner I looked at came from the USA.

However, I found hair products (molding paste, vitamin sprays, etc.) can sometimes have other

locations. For example, I found a molding paste

from Canada and a vitamin spray from

France.
