• Ongoing distribution of food to 64,800 people in Guiuan, Mercedes,Salcedo, Balangkayan, Hernani and Victory Island • Upcoming distribution of food and essential household items to 8,500people in Homonhon Island • About 86,500 liters of clean water distributed to some 28,800 peoplein Guiuan, Basey and Marabut, through water tankers and installationof bladders and tap stands • Mobile water-treatment units being installed in Marabut and two otherareas in the coming days, until the restoration of water-supply systemsin nearby affected coastal areas • Three generators provided to the Guiuan Water Authority to enablefunctioning of three existing pumping stations. Fuel donated for a pumpto operate, providing access to clean water for over 30,000 people • Medical supplies provided to Basey district hospital and rural health unitsin Lawaan, Balangiga and Giporlos, pending support in the repair of healthfacilities • Basic health-care units to be set up in Basey and Balangiga, with supportfrom the Norwegian Red Cross and Finnish Red Cross; and mobile clinicsfor local inner communities in the coming days • Enough food for 15 days distributed to 37 inmates in two jails in Guiuan

In addition: • Support to Philippine Red Cross personnel in putting relatives in contactwith each other • ICRC assessing and if necessary, answering the needs in detention placesin Eastern Visayas
