Phase 1: Relative Advantage
My students will learn about Earth Day and how we can incorporate Earth Day activities into our daily lives to help the Earth.
Phase 2: Objectives and Assessment
To provide students with knowledge about the Earth as well as ways in which we can promote conservation and concern for our environment.
During the lessons students will: Participate in an Earth Day Webquest (as a
class) in which they will learn about Earth Day and Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Take a walk outside and examine the Earth Write a letter (or draw a picture) to the Earth
about ways in which they will take care of it
Phase 3: Integration Strategies
Instructional Method: Constructivist Lesson Development: This unit will
allow students to learn more about the Earth in a hands on manner. It will also teach students about recycling and how to incorporate it into their daily lives.

Lessons will require the following: Access to webquest (done as a class) Paper, pencils Examples of items that can be recycled Lunch box materials for lunch box
activity Time to complete projects
Phase 5: Evaluate Integration Strategies
The integration strategies will be evaluated by: How interested are students in the
webquest? How easily are students able to perform
the activities in the webquest? Are students able to answer the
questions throughout the webquest? What conservation strategies did the
students outline in their letter to the Earth?
