Week 1: 29th July – 2nd August 2013: Musical Fairytale.
Week 2: 5th – 9th August: Alien Adventures! – based on the popular book, Aliens Love Underpants.
Week 3: 12th– 16th August: Under The Sea
Week 4: 19th – 23rd August: Imagine
A fun introduction to musical theatre for the earliest ages with daily sessions in drama, dance and singing and a presentation
on stage to family and friends at the end of each week!
Each week, the children will play games, make masks and
develop their stories for the final performance. The course will develop basic singing, playing
instruments, dancing and acting technique whilst developing
confidence in a safe and welcoming environment.

WEEK 1
A specially adapted version of the hilarious musical with
Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad and all
our favourite fairy-tale friends! Daily classes in
dance, drama and singing and perform on the final
day in costume and make-up!

Hooray for the BFG! A musical film week creating a wonderful dance and multi-media version of this classic
Roald Dahl story – performing with projected image in
costume and make-up on stage.

WEEK 3
Song and dance from comedy to ballads, street to
funk, ballet to tap – learn show numbers from film, stage and TV to perform what you’ve learnt at the
end of the week. Shows this year will include Matilda, Les Miserables, We Will
Rock You, Wicked, Hairspray and A Chorus Line.

WEEK 4
What wondrous worlds do our dreams take us to? How do our imaginations create stories when we are asleep?
Dreamscape will be a devised piece of drama and dance exploring dreams and the sub conscious. A collision of texts will be used to bring our drama alive. Using the words of writers such
as Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, William Blake, Roald Dahl and Carl
Sandburg, the children will devise a selection of dream sequences. Dance,
drama and music will be used to create a humorous and thoughtful
piece of drama to perform on stage in costume and make-up.
