Most importantly, our program fosters each individual child to develop his or her skills to become confident and to develop a love for lifelong learning. More Than Just ABCs The Power of Exceptional Faculty

A Strong Foundation for a Bright FutureOur approach to Early Childhood learning provides a well-rounded

experience that speaks to every learner. Students take part in Daily Chapel, hands-on science in the Lower School Science Lab, weekly Spanish classes, Integrated Math and Visual Arts, weekly Creative Dance and Music, dedicated time in the Early Childhood Technology Lab/Library, and outdoor exploration time on the playground, in the Kelly Dillard Butterfly Garden and on the RANGE, a 16-acre educational preserve located on campus. Read more about our distinctive features by visiting www.aseschool.org/EarlyChildhood.

With an average 8:1 student-to-teacher ratio, teachers are able to engage, challenge and encourage each student individually according to where he/she is in the learning process. All lead teachers hold college degrees and a teaching certification in Early Childhood.

In 1951, The Reverend Canon James P. DeWolfe, Jr., and the Vestry at All Saints’ Episcopal Church voted to create All Saints’ Episcopal School to serve preschool children. Over the years, the School added elementary grades and, eventually, a Middle School and an Upper School. Our first seniors graduated in the spring of 1989. After many years of K-12 education, the Early Childhood Education program was re-established in 2010. Enrollment has since tripled, and the state-of-the-art Dillard Center for Early Childhood Education opened in 2013 followed by an expansion in 2015.

A Sense of PlaceThe Dillard Center for Early Childhood Education is a self-contained facility that also has convenient access to higher-level resources on the All Saints’ campus. The Dillard Center houses an Art Room, Technology Lab/Library, playground, classroom space, multi-purpose space, dining area and Commons area.
