EHS– Math Boot Camp 2019
We want to let you know about a Math-ematics Camp that we will be offering here at Eagle High School August 15th – 16th this year. The intent of the camp is to review basic math concepts that may have gotten rusty over the course of the summer break. We will be holding two different sessions; one designed for in-coming Freshman who will be going into HS Math 1 and another for Sophomores going into HS Math 2. Both of the ses-sions will run from 8:30-12:30 daily. There is no cost, but space is limited per session (35 for Math 1 and 30 for Math 2). Seats will be on a first come, first served basis.

Remind.com The EHS Counseling Department has created an account with remind.com to send alerts to students about registration, colleges visiting EHS, scholarship opportunities, college entrance exam deadlines, college fairs, course selection, as well as other information and opportunities. Students and parents are welcome to create an account at remind.com or download the app to receive alerts. Remind is a free, safe and simple messaging tool that helps teachers and staff share important updates and reminders with students & parents. Subscribe by text, email or using the Remind app. All personal infor-mation is kept private. The EHS Counseling Staff will never see your phone number, nor will you see theirs. EARLY GRADUATES: Senior students planning to graduate early must see their coun-selor in September. All credits must be completed prior to the end of the first semester to qualify as an early graduate and participate in the graduation ceremony. Independent Study/Correspondence Courses The West Ada school district has approved specific courses to fulfill graduation requirements, so it is important to discuss these options with your counselor before enrolling in a correspondence course. BYU Correspondence final exams are proctored by West Ada School District Counselor. Seniors must take their correspondence final exams no later than April 30, 2020
COUNSELING OFFICE INFORMATION
PSAT Test The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) measures a student’s ability to do college work. The PSAT is a short form of the SAT and measures verbal, mathematical and writing skills. It is recommended that you take the PSAT as a junior or sophomore. The PSAT is a qualifying test for scholarship com-petition for juniors called the National Merit Scholarship. The PSAT is NOT used for college admissions.
This year the PSAT will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2019. All sophomores will be taking the PSAT. It will be free to all sophomores. Juniors can sign up to take the PSAT during registration and the cost is $17.00. This is an optional test for Juniors and is the only way to compete for the National Merit Scholarship.
All students must have a picture ID for entrance to all three tests (PSAT, ACT & SAT). When you pay for the PSAT at reg-istration, please mark your calendars as there will be no further notice, unless you are registered on Remind.com

Please look over the specifications below and send the pictures in digital form on CD or two glossy color prints. We prefer digital pictures or one CD.
