What is the Breitling e-Warranty?

It’s simple! Insert the e-Warranty into the card reader, place the COSC certificate under the card reader, press OK and the Breitling International Warranty is activated!

If your card reader’s WIFI is configured, Breitling immediately receives the activation information with no additional effort from the user!

With this information, Breitling can analyze its sales worldwide.

Breitling is also able to help you choose the watches that generate the highest turnover.

Every after-sales service center around the world can verify the warranty activation and provide the best service through the Breitling After Sales Services Tracking System.

Function Receive, store and display the watch activation information and warranty conditions. It can be used in the inventory procedure as a display.

3. COSC certificate with RFID label

Function The electronic chip in the label allows the card reader to scan the watch information (model name, COSC number, Breitling reference).

Warning – Important notice

You must connect the card reader to your computer at least once per month and check the battery level, as well as the software updates.

If you do not have WIFI available in your POS or have not configured your card reader’s WIFI connection, you must connect the card reader every day of use.

Remove the card from the card reader by pulling it out. Important: Hold it on the sides. Do not press on the screen. Present it to the customer and explain the warranty informa-tion to him/her.

There are two possibilities to transfer data from your card reader.

How to configure the WIFI, go to: https://ewarranty.breitling.com/docs/documentation

Your card reader contains a WIFI antenna that can be configured to your POS.

After the e-Warranty activation, you can press WIFI to send the data to Breitling, if WIFI is configured only. If this button is not pressed, the card reader will do it auto-matically 5 minutes after the transaction.

After WIFI has been pressed, the WIFI button will blink green for about 30 seconds.

3 x beep indicate that the connection has failed.

If another e-Warranty card activation must be carried out during that period of time, pressing WIFI once will stop the transfer process and the data will be transmitted at the next connection.

No WIFI

The data can be sent manually by connecting the card reader to a computer with internet access. Open the Breitling e-Warranty software, which has been developed especially for this tool.

The inventory button allows you to execute a 100%- accurate stock-take.

Before you start, you must:

1. Count all the watches in your shop

2. Count all the Breitling warranty kits in the boxes

You must have the same quantity of watches as Breitling COSC certificates.

Insert a NON-activated e-Warranty card into the card reader and press INVENTORY for 1 second to activate the inventory function.

INVENTORY will stay green until you have finished the inventory.

I N V E N T O R Y

Scan the electronic RFID labels of all COSC certificates present in the boxes. Each beep indicates that the label has been read.

After every box, press OK and the e-Warranty card will display the actual count of your inventory.

If the count is not correct rescan the boxes to find the missing COSC certificates!

If the final count is correct, confirm your inventory by press ing INVENTORY. The inventory will be sent automatically by WIFI to Breitling. The card will then show INVENTORY OK.

If you need to interrupt your inventory, or if you encountered an error, press INVENTORY for 5 seconds.

The inventory will then be cancelled, as well as its sending.
