Unit 13 Suction valve leak on Cylinder 1, CE began on 5/20/16 based on flow balance & leak

index. Based on limited experience, station had set a warning at 25 for Leak Index as the point

at which a leaking valve could be confirmed with valve cap temperature measuerements

Valve was replaced during shutdown from 7:20 am on 5/24/16 to 1:00 pm on 5/25/16

compensate for bad jet cell

60 PROPRIETARY

Insert Customer logo Customer’s Economic Justification

Capital cost: $275,000 per engine

Payback:– Engine protection & lower maintenance costs: $250,000/yr– Longer overhaul interval (annualized per engine) $150,000/yr

Less than one year payback (~ 7 months)

61 PROPRIETARY

Insert Customer logo Customer’s Economic Justification

Other Benefits

10 – 15% Fuel savings (Average fuel flow reduced from ~360 MCF/day to ~310 MCF/day on GMVH-10)

Lower “Excess” emissions due to fewer unplanned outages

Higher detonation margins

Longer spark plug life (~ $7,000 per engine/year savings)

Lower mechanic, EA & operator labor-hours (~$600 per engine/year)

Data available to Operators

• Unit Average PFP• Engine Balance• Combustion Statistics• Unit Fuel Usage & BTU Value• Compressor Rod Loads• Total Compressor Indicated HP• Total Engine Indicated HP• Compressor Flow Balances & Leak

Indices• Crosshead Vibration• Frame Vibration

Shutdowns

• High Peak Firing Pressure (before detonation)

• High Vibration Levels (Frame & Compressor Throws

Conclusion

Roberts Ranch is successfully using the Platinum/AutoBalance system to balance their engine and diagnose issues

When installing the Platinum/AutoBalance system DCP did not have to modify the fuel system or jet cells

Economics show that the payback period of the system is less than a year
