WARNING . . . Not To Be Used or Personnel Protection
Never use these products or personnel protection. Doing so could lead to serious injury or death.
These products do NOT include the sel-checking redundant circuitry necessary to allow their use in personnel saety applications. Aailure or malunction can cause either an energized or de-energized output condition. Consult your current Banner Saety Productscatalog or saety products that meet OSHA, ANSI, and IEC standards or personnel protection.

Features
The SureCross wireless system is a radio requency network with integrated I/O that canoperate in most environments while eliminating the need or wiring runs. Systems are builtaround a Gateway, which acts as the wireless network master device, and one or moreNodes.
Wireless industrial I/O device with our discrete DIP switch selectable inputs, our discrete(sourcing) outputs, two analog (020 mA) inputs, and two analog (020 mA) outputs
DIP switches or user confguration
+10 to 30V dc power input
Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technology and Time Division MultipleAccess (TDMA) control architecture combine to ensure reliable data delivery within theunlicensed Industrial, Scientifc, and Medical (ISM) bands
Transceivers provide two-way communication between the Gateway and Node, includingully acknowledged data transmission
Lost RF links are detected and relevant outputs set to user-defned conditions
External or internal antenna
The DX80...C models are certifed or use in Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C, DHazardous Locations when properly installed in accordance with the National ElectricalCode, the Canadian Electrical Code, or applicable local codes/regulations (SeeSpecifcations)
For additional inormation and a complete list o accessories, including FCC approvedantennas, reer to Banner Engineerings website, www.bannerengineering.com/surecross .

Address Mode
The SureCross wireless devices may use one o two types oaddressingmodes:rotaryswitchaddressingorextendedaddressing. In rotary switch address mode, the let rotary dial establishes thenetwork ID and the right rotary dial sets the device ID. The wirelessnetwork is restricted to a maximum o 16 devices.
Extended address mode uses a security code to bind Nodesto a specifc Gateway. Bound Nodes can only send and receiveinormation rom the Gateway they are bound to. In extendedaddressmode,wirelessnetworksmaycontainupto56radiodevices.For more inormation on extended address mode, reer to theSureCross Wireless I/O Network product manual.
The device ships in rotary switch address mode by deault, with theDIP switch in the OFF position. To use extended address mode, change the DIP switch to the ON position.
Accessing the DIP Switches
ToaccesstheDIPswitches,followthesesteps:
Unscrew the our screws that mount the cover to the bottom1.housing.
Remove the cover rom the housing without damaging the2.ribbon cable or the pins the cable plugs into.
Gently unplug the ribbon cable rom the board mounted into3.the bottom housing.
Remove the black cover plate rom the bottom o the4.devices cover.
The DIP switches are located behind the rotary dials. Ater making thenecessary changes to the DIP switches, place the black cover plateback into position and gently push into place. Plug the ribbon cablein ater veriying that the blocked hole lines up with the missing pin.Mount the cover back onto the housing.

Turn the Power O
Beore making any changes to the DIP switch
positions, disconnect the power. For deviceswith batteries integrated into the housing, remove the battery.
