DSU Remote (VPN) Access Procedure

How to Connect DSU Resources From Outside the Campus

Windows Users

1. Download setup file dsu_vpn.exe.

2. Install the dsu_vpn.exe with default options.

3. Go to START > Programs > OpenVPN > OpenVPN GUI (right-click and run as administrator

where the option is available)

4. Right click the task bar icon of OpenVPN and select connect5. Enter your dsu login name(eg. xx001), password and press OK.

6. On successful connection you can access all DSU resources (eg. dashboard, email, portal,

feedback etc)

Ubuntu Linux Users

1. Download config dsu_vpn.ovpn.

2. From terminal run $ sudo aptitude install network-manager-openvpn

3. From terminal run $ sudo openvpn /path/to/dsu_vpn.ovpn

4. Enter your dsu login name(eg. xx001), password.

5. Keep the terminal running after connection
