TEMPORARILY INSERT THECARRIER MAST INTO YOUR

HITCH RECEIVER.

REMOVE ASSEMBLYAND PLACE ON A FLAT

SURFACE.

USING A TAPE MEASURE, DETERMINEBAR HEIGHT FOR DRYDOCK.

• Using one of the arms as aguide for height, insert boltsto hold the arm temporarily.

SECURE THE ARMS TO THE MAST.

DO NOTOVERTIGHTEN.

GET READY TO INSTALL THE CROSSBAR.Remove tape pieces from support arm ends.

TIGHTEN EQUALLY.TIGHTEN with two 9/16"

wrenches or twoadjustable-end wrenches.

Insert bolts with awasher on either sideof the support armsand fasten with a nut.

• Crossbar heightshould be equal orslightly above frontrack system.

Be prepared to use thewrench if crossbar does

not slide in easily.

INSTALL END CAPS.Push end caps onto

ends of crossbar.

SECURE THE CROSSBAR.

ATTACH ASSEMBLEDDRYDOCK.

The hole in the hitchmust align with the hole

in the DryDock.

CENTER THE BAR.INSERT THE CROSSBAR through the holes in the

support arms.

• Tightencrossbarclamps usingthe hexwrench.

TIGHTEN bolt.

SECURE hitch boltwith safety clip.

INSERT hitch bolt andwasher from RIGHT

TO LEFT.

TEST THE INSTALLATION.Twist the crossbar.

If it can rotate—TIGHTEN barclamps using the hex wrench.

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

LOAD YOUR BOAT,centering side to side and

front to back.Follow accessory instructions

to secure the boat to thecrossbars.

NOTE:Some shorter boats will

prevent accessories fromworking properly.

Crossbar sold separately.Minimum 58” crossbar required.

SECURE THE CARRIER.

BEFORE DRIVING AWAY:

Secure front and rear of long loads to ends of vehiclefor safe transport. Failure to do so could result in

property damage, personal injury, or death.

• Periodically check forcrossbar rotation. If itrotates, tightencrossbar clamps, butdo not over tighten.

• Periodically checkthe hitch bolt andtighten if necessary.

Nouveaux utilisateurs de PIEDS Q:si l’on pose une paire de pieds sur le véhicule, commencer ici, à l’opération 2 OU 3.

Suivre les instructionsaccompagnant les pieds Q pourassembler le porte-bagages.• Utiliser les mesures M1 et M2 se

trouvant dans la liste jointe auxcrochets.

• Mesurer depuis le sommet dupare-brise (où la peintures’arrête) jusqu’à l’avant des pieds.

Suivre les instructions accompagnant lespieds Q pour assembler le porte-bagages.• Utiliser la mesure M3 se trouvant dans la liste

jointe aux crochets pour connaître la distance àdonner entre les pieds sur la barre transversale.

• Additionner les mesures M2 et M4 pourpositionner les pieds.

• Mesurer depuis le sommet du pare-brise (où lapeinture s’arrête) jusqu’à l’avant des piedsarrière.

• En se servant d’un des brascomme indicateur de hauteur,mettre les boulons en place pourretenir le bras temporairement.

FIXER LES BRAS À LA POTENCE.

NE PAS TROPSERRER.

SE PRÉPARER À POSER LA BARRETRANSVERSALE.

SERRER ÉGALEMENT.SERRER les boulons avec2 clés du 9/16 po (15 mm)

ou 2 clés à molette.

Enfiler les boulons, avecune rondelle de chaquecôté des bras, et lesserrer avec un écrou.

• La barre transversaledevrait se trouver à lamême hauteur (ou unpeu plus haut) que ledispositif avant.

Être prêt à se servir de laclé si la barre transversalene pénètre pas facilement.

Enlever les bandes adhésives des bouts des bras.

ENFILER TEMPORAIREMENTLA BASE DE LA POTENCE

DANS LE TUBE D’ATTELAGE.

POSER LESBOUCHONS

D’EXTRÉMITÉ.Enfoncer les bouchons

sur les bouts de la barre.

FIXER LA BARRE TRANSVERSALE.

POSER LE DRYDOCKASSEMBLÉ.

Le trou de l’attelage doits’aligner avec celui de la

potence.

CENTRER LA BARRE.ENFILER LA BARRETRANSVERSALE dans

les trous des bras.

• Serrer les pincessur la barre àl’aide de la cléhexagonale.

SERRER leboulon.

BLOQUER le boulond’attelage à l’aide dela broche de sécurité.

METTRE EN PLACE leboulon d’attelage et sarondelle de la DROITE

VERS LA GAUCHE.

VÉRIFIER LE MONTAGE.Essayer de faire tourner la barre

transversale: si elle tourne,SERRER les pinces sur la barreà l’aide de la clé hexagonale.

NE PAS TROP SERRER!

CHARGER L’EMBARCATION,en la centrant d’avant enarrière et latéralement.

Suivre les instructionsaccompagnant l’accessoire pour

attacher l’embarcation auxbarres transversales.

REMARQUE:certaines embarcations sont tropcourtes pour que les accessoires

fonctionnent normalement.

La barre transversales’achète à part.

Il faut une barre de 58 po(147 cm) au moins.

Si l’on a acheté le boulonQuickHitch, le poser

maintenant.

FIXER LE PORTE-EMBARCATIONS

AVANT DE PRENDRE LA ROUTE:

Toujours attacher les charges longues à l’avant et àl’arrière du véhicule. Si on ne le fait pas, on risque deprovoquer des dommages, des blessures ou même la mort.

• Vérifier régulièrementsi la barre transversaletourne. Si elle tourne, laresserrer mais pas trop.

• Vérifier régulièrementle boulon d’attelage etle resserrer au besoin.

• Serrer jusqu’à ce que la barre nepuisse plus tourner.

• NE PAS TROP SERRER!

ENTRETIEN• Lubrifier de temps à autre les boulons

avec un lubrifiant non soluble à l’eau.• Nettoyer le porte-embarcations

DryDock avec un chiffon, de l’eau etun savon doux.

CON UNA CINTA DE MEDIR, DETERMINE LA ALTURADEL TRAVESAÑO PARA EL DRYDOCK.

• Usando uno de los brazoscomo guía para la altura,inserte tornillos para fijarel brazo temporariamente.

NO AJUSTE DE MÁS.

brazo de apoyo.AJUSTE PAREJO.Ajuste con dos llavesde 9/16" o dos llaves

ajustables.

Inserte tornillos conarandela a cada lado

de los brazos de apoyoy ajuste con tuercas.

• La altura del travesañodebe ser igual oligeramente superior ala de la parrilladelantera.

Use la llave si eltravesaño no se desliza

fácilmente.

ASEGURE el tornillodel enganche con elclip de seguridad.

INSERTE el tornillo delenganche con la

arandela de DERECHAA IZQUIERDA.

COMPRUEBE LA INSTALACIÓN.Trate de hacer girar el travesaño.Si gira, AJUSTE las abrazaderas

del travesaño con la llavehexagonal.

NO AJUSTE DE MÁS

CARGUE SU EMBARCACIÓN,centrando de lado a lado y de

adelante hacia atrás.Siga las instrucciones de losaccesorios para asegurar la

embarcación a los travesaños.

NOTA:Algunas embarcaciones más

cortas impedirán que losaccesorios funcionen
