Some Tips

Deliver content in simplest possible format

Videos are most effective form for engaging the audience.

“How to” Step wise Instructions are apt for mobile consumption.

Keep the screen uncluttered as much as possible to promote clarity.

The trick is to encourage people to look for the content with links to

further reading content

If you make the first screen too dense, then users will avoid reading.

Better to focus the initial screen and let those users who're particularly

interested dig into the rest.

The tone of voice for mobile content works best in the animated format

Users can see less at any given time than the desktop. Thus, users must

rely on their highly fallible memory when trying to understand anything

that's not fully explained within the viewable space.

That way, you'll satisfy more customers, get more traffic, and derive

more business value from your mobile content.

Some Technical specifications:

Please Note: For iPhone screen specifications are standard but, BlackBerry

screen sizes and resolution may vary. Also user can set the font-size from

his profile. Hence all the specifications given below are average condition,

and output may vary on device to device.

1. Title

a. Ideal Length (in characters): 30 characters

2. Description:

a. First 50 characters of the description are shown on main list

screen.

b. Give simple, to-the-point explanation.

c. Ideal Description length to fit in first screen: 80 characters

3. From:

a. Give Department/ Group Name/ Speaker / Author

4. Image in Presentation:

i. iPhone 280 x 160

ii. BB – Varies according to screen resolution and size.

5. Presentation:

a. Prefer the content in bullets.

b. Keep is short and to-the-point.

c. Ideally 8 lines of 30 characters per line fit in 1st screen with

top image and 16 lines without image in iPhone.

d. Further description will need scrolling.

6. Quiz:

a. Ideal Question Length: 80-100 characters

b. Ideal Option Length: 30 characters

Further length will enable scrolling option.
