1. Park motorcycle on a flat surface, fully extendkickstand, and make sure vehicle is stable.

2. Turn key to OFF position and remove key.

1. Remove headlight ring screw.

2. Lift and remove headlight and trim ringassembly. Disconnect headlight from harnessand carefully set aside.

1. Remove two screws and remove headlighthousing. Pull wiring harness through opening inback of housing.

REAR NACELLE COVER REMOVAL

1. Remove five screws and remove rear nacellecover.

1. Install new LED driving light into trim ringw.Align tab on light with notch in trim ring asshown in inset.

2. Install spring clipsr one at a time.

a. Make sure the spring clipr wires installaround driving light locating features onedge of LED light housing as shown.

b. Hook left end of spring clipr under lip oftrim ringw, press right end of spring clipunder edge of trim ring. Make sure center ofspring clip stays aligned around metal tab ofLED light housing.

c. Repeat for other two spring clips.

1. Install screwi through capo.

2. Install spacera into opening on bucketq andinsert screw and cap assembly.

3. Loosely attach bucket assembly to driving lightmountd, hand-tighten screwi.

1. Install one rubber grommett onto each longwire end of the driving light wiring harnessy.

2. Install harnessy wire ends and grommetstinto openings in headlight bucketsq.

3. Install harness into channels and install leftfand rightg wire covers over wires. Attachcovers with four push pin clipsh.

1. Attach wire on driving light to driving lightharness inside bucket. Install trim ringw ontohooked edge on top of bucket and rotate intoplace. Attach with new screwe. Torque screwto specification.

1. Remove and keep headlight pivot screw.Separate headlight bucket from mount anddiscard mount.

2. Install headlight bucket onto driving light mountd with retained screw. Hand tighten screw.

DO NOT torque fasteners at this time.

3. Insert driving light harnessy into opening inback of headlight bucket.

4. Pull harnessesy into bucket.

1. Install light assembly to motorcycle. Attach withtwo new screwss. Torque screws tospecification.

TORQUE

Driving Light Mount Screwss:13.25 ft-lbs (18 N·m)

2. Insert chassis harness, including turn signalconnectors, into opening on back of headlight.Remove blank cap from chassis harness.

3. Connect driving light harness connectory tochassis harness.

MOTORCYCLES WITH NACELLES

1. Install push-pinr (from kit P/N 2884951–XXXsold separately) clip into opening on nacellecover bracket.

2. Set spacersw (from kit P/N 2884951–XXX soldseparately) in place on rear nacelle coverq.

3. Install driving light switchl, and blank plug e(from kit P/N 2884951–XXX sold separately),into bracketq.

4. Hold rear coverq (from kit P/N 2884951–XXXsold separately) and insert the switch wireharness connector into the push-pin clipr fromthe top side.

5. Install new rear nacelle coverq (from kit P/N2884951–XXX sold separately) with retainedfasteners. Torque fasteners to specification.

Rear Nacelle Cover Fasteners:88 in-lbs (10 N·m)

MOTORCYCLES WITHOUT NACELLES

1. Install driving light switch bracket 1( tounderside of triple clamp. Attach with newscrew 2!. Torque screw to specification.

2. Install driving light switchl into bracket.

3. Install wire connector from switch into hole inswitch cover 2) and pull through as shown.Install cover 2) onto switch bracket tabs1( until itsnaps into place.

SWITCH WIRING INSTALLATION

1. Install switch wiring harnessl into opening inback of the headlight bucket and connect tochassis harness connectory.

2. Attach switch harnessl, and driving lightharnessy to headlight bucket with long cablerouting clipk. Install short cable routing clipjto driving light harnessy.

LED HEADLIGHT AND DRIVING LIGHT AIM INSPECTIONPROCEDURE

IMPORTANTAdjust headlight and driving light aim when thereis a change in load (rider, cargo, accessories, etc.)

and /or after suspension adjustment.

Follow all steps below to ensure accurate aiminspection.

1. Check and adjust the tire pressure tospecification.

2. Verify suspension ride height (preload) is set tospecification.

3. Move the motorcycle to a clear area with a levelfloor and dim lighting, and place it so the topfront edge of the headlight housing is 32 ft10 in(10 m) from the wall.

4. With the rider and passenger ( if applicable) onboard, bring the motorcycle to a fully uprightposition. Center the handlebars in a straightahead position.

5. Start the engine and switch the headlight on inLOWmode:

6. Compare the position of headlight and drivinglight beam on the wall to the illustration belowand adjust if necessary.

With the headlight switched to LOW beam, the topof the highest intensity (appears as a diamondshape for standard LED and a horizontal line foradaptive LED) should be 4 in (10 cm) below theheight of the headlight centere when centeredstraight ahead at 32 ft10 in (10 m).

HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENTThe headlight adjustment screw is located on theleft side of the headlight housing base.

1. To adjust the headlight vertically, loosen theheadlight pivot fastener. Rotate the headlightassembly upward or downward.

2. When the headlight beam is correct, tighten thefastener to specification.

TORQUE

Headlight Pivot Fastener:29 ft-lbs (40 N·m)

DRIVING LIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENTThe driving light adjustment screw is located on theoutside of each driving light housing base.

1. To adjust the driving light vertically, loosen thedriving light pivot fastener. Rotate the drivinglight assembly upward or downward.

2. When the driving light beam is correct, tightenthe fastener to specification.

TORQUE

Driving Light Pivot Fastener:17 ft-lbs (24 N·m)

OOPPEERRAATTIIOONN• The driving light switch has two positions: ONand OFF.

• Illumination of the driving light switch willalternate when ON or OFF.

• Press the switch one time to change the drivinglights to ON or OFF.
