INTRODUCTION

Pepsi was founded in 1898 by Caleb Bradham, a New Bern,North Carolina, druggist, who first formulated Pepsi-Cola.

Today, Brand Pepsi is part of a portfolio of beverage brandsthat includes carbonated soft drinks, juices and juicedrinks, ready-to-drink teas and coffee drinks, isotonicsports drinks, bottled water and enhanced waters.

PepsiCo Americas Beverages (PAB) has well known brands

such as Mountain Dew, Diet Pepsi, Gatorade, TropicanaPure Premium, Aquafina water, Sierra Mist, Mug, Tropicanajuice drinks, Propel, SoBe, Slice, Dole, Tropicana Twisterand Tropicana Season's Best.

An American multinational corporation headquartered

in Purchase, Harrison, New York, United States, with

interests in the manufacturing, marketing and

distribution of grain-based snack foods, beverages, and

other products.

PepsiCo was formed in 1965 with the merger of the

Pepsi-Cola Company and Frito-Lay.

PepsiCo has since expanded from its namesake

product Pepsi to a broader range of food and beverage

brands, the largest of which include an acquisition

of Tropicana in 1998 and a merger with Quaker Oats in

2001.
