Five years have passed since the defeat of Piccolo, the world is enjoying a long reign of peace, but this peace is forever shattered when a mighty Saiyan warrior named Raditz comes searching of his younger brother, Goku! During his search he comes across Piccolo, and is able to withstand his attacks with incredible ease, after discovering another high power level, Raditz heads towards Kame House to confront Goku, once there he delivers a startling request. Goku must destroy one hundred earthlings by tomorrow, or his son, Gohan, will meet his demise. Raditz quickly defeats Goku and takes his son, now Goku is left with the Saiyan's agonizing task if he is ever to see Gohan.

After Raditz kidnapped his son Goku could do nothing but just sit there and ponder on how to get his son back when Piccolo arrives on the spot. He offers Goku a hand against Raditz. Even with his friends in doubt Goku accepts. They then get the dragon radar and head off in the direction of the 4-star dragon ball... or the one on Gohan's cap. Will they succeed in their quest?

Goku must distract Raditz for five minutes while Piccolo powers up for his new technique, but can Goku last that long. Meanwhile, trapped in Raditz's ship, Gohan continues to attempt escaping, but he hits his head severely and begins to cry. Piccolo fires the Special Beam Cannon, but Raditz dodges it, damaging part of his armour. Suddenly Gohan blasts through Raditz's ship, and gives a power level reading of one thousand, three hundred and thirty, too much for Raditz to handle, Gohan charges into Raditz injuring him, but shortly afterwards Gohan's power begins to fade, it seems now that there is nothing that can stop the evil Saiyan.

Raditz is weakened by Gohan's burst of power, allowing Goku to grab Raditz in a bear hug. Piccolo summons an extra powerful blast named the Special Beam Cannon to finish off Raditz, but his attack also ends Goku's life. Before Raditz dies, he tells Piccolo that two other Saiyans who have even greater power are heading for Earth and will arrive within the year! While Piccolo trains Gohan, Goku travels through Other World to visit Martial Arts Master, King Kai, to get superior training from him in preparation for the upcoming battle against the Saiyans!

Piccolo takes Gohan to a deserted wasteland to train him to utilize his incredible power, while Goku continues his journey along snake way, and almost falls off. Gohan is left alone to survive for six months, while Piccolo watches over him from afar. Krillin has the awful job of telling Chi Chi about her husband and son, but when he gets there he just can't do it. On the night of the first full moon, Piccolo witnesses an incredible transformation as Gohan becomes a gigantic ape!

Gohan slowly gets used to living in the wild on his own. His strength and stuff increase. One day he meets a dinosaur that is injured. He treats it with an ancient medicine that his father taught him. The dinosaur and him become good friends. But one day a carnivore dinosaur comes in and starts attacking Gohan's friend. Gohan who went out to collect some food comes in just then and tries to help his friend but ends up getting unconscious with a bump on his head. By the time he gets up his friend has already been eaten up. But Gohan has to move on cause the day to fight the Saiyans is drawing near.

The evil Saiyan warriors, Vegeta and Nappa, are getting closer to earth, eager to gather the seven Dragon Balls and realize their wish for immortality. On the way to earth, the two warriors decide to stop by Planet Arlia to have some fun. Watch out because fun to a Saiyan warrior means destruction!

Goku has fallen off Snake Way into the land of no return. There, two ogres give Goku a test, they promise that they will show him the way back to Snake Way if he wins a competition against them. After completing both tasks, Goku is shown a stairway back to snake way, but it appears the ogre's have the last laugh, as the stairway leads, back to the beginning of snake way!

A selected group of warriors have gathered at the top of Korin Tower. There they will undergo the special training that will prepare them for the Saiyans. Meanwhile, Goku reaches the mid-point of Snake Way only to fall into the treacherous hands of the beautiful Snake Princess.

Gohan misses home very much. One day, he escapes the wilderness, but his handmade boat is wrecked in a storm. Gohan is saved by orphan children on an island and makes some new friends. When he almost reaches home, Piccolo reminds him of his mission: to save Earth!

Krillin, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha are training at Kami's lookout, but get frustrated at the speed of their training. Mr. Popo instructs them to know themselves to become stronger, and to learn about their enemy to defeat it. Mr. Popo sends their spirits to the virtual reality of the Pendulum Room, where the warriors experience the overwhelming power of the average Saiyan. Then they learn the terrible reality that the two Saiyans who approaching Earth are twice as strong!

Gohan's training under Piccolo continues. One night, Gohan suddenly transforms into a giant ape and attacks Piccolo! Piccolo discovers that a moon image is being projected from Goku's old Saiyan space pod and Piccolo must destroy it before Gohan destroys him! Meanwhile, Goku finally reaches the end of Snake Way and arrives to King Kai's small planet, which has ten times stronger gravity than Earth's.

After Goku passes King Kai's test to make him laugh, the training begins! Goku's first task is to catch King Kai's pet monkey, Bubbles. King Kai explains the Saiyan home world, the planet Vegeta, had the same gravity as his planet and that the two Saiyans on their way to Earth are even stronger than King Kai himself.

Goku's next task is to hit Gregory, a super-fast grasshopper, with a heavy hammer. Amazed at how quickly Goku can conquer the gravity, King Kai decides to teach him the techniques "Kaio-Ken" and "Spirit Bomb". King Kai also reveals information about Goku's Saiyan heritage. Goku learns the planet Vegeta had vanished and he was among only four Saiyan survivors.

Goku completes his training under King Kai and is ready for the battle against the Saiyans. While Goku hurries back on the Snake Way to earth, the evil Saiyans, Nappa and Vegeta, finally land on earth and launch a diabolical wake-up call for the planet. They first sense the power of Piccolo and Gohan and proceed to them. Their purpose is to find the Dragon Balls and make their wish -- immortality. can earth`s special forces hold out until Goku arrives?!

Vegeta and Nappa reach Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin. Vegeta recognizes Piccolo as the one who told Raditz about the Dragon Balls and reveals Piccolo is an alien from the planet Namek. Just as Tien, Chiaotzu and Yamcha arrive to fight, the Saiyans grow plant monsters called Saibamen to fight them.

Earth's Special Forces show off their newly developed power in the battle against the six Saibamen.(Green coloured, mindless creatures grown from seeds that obey Nappa's and Vegeta's every whim) Yamcha manages to defeat one but carelessly turns his back on it. He doesn't notice it get up and gets grabbed from behind! It squeezes the life out of Yamcha and he can't break free. The Z fighters wait for him to break the hold when the Saibaman unexpectedly self-destructs! Along with him taking Yamcha! The remaining Z fighters are now left to take on the Saibamen without him!

Nappa's power builds up and he sets his sights on Tien. A sneak attack by Chiaotzu seems to give the Earth's Special Forces the upper hand but at what cost? Unscathed, Nappa emerges from the blast. Chiaotzu has given his life in vain and failed to help Tien. Piccolo plans a new attack, but will it work? 19. Tien Goes All Out!! Tien uses all his powers to help Piccolo and Krillin fight the relentless Nappa, but Nappa continues to seem unstoppable. Just when it looks like Nappa will finish off Piccolo and Krillin, Vegeta calls a break to see if Kakarot (Goku) will arrive as Earth's Special Forces very survival depends solely on it.

When Goku is nowhere in sight, Nappa resumes his devastating fight against Earth's Special Forces. Suddenly, everyone senses Goku's impending arrival and Vegeta discovers Goku's power level is at 5000 and still rising! He orders Nappa to finish off Piccolo, Krillin and Gohan before Goku arrives.

Krillin is defeated and Nappa fires a massive power blast to finish off Gohan. Before it's too late, Piccolo jumps in the way and sacrifices himself to save Gohan. But Kami as well is killed and the seven Dragon Balls to wish everyone back to life vanish. Enraged, Gohan uses all of his power to fight, but Nappa is too strong. Luckily, however, Goku finally arrives!

Goku surprises everyone with his new power and Vegeta orders Nappa to retreat. Instead, the enraged Saiyan attacks Krillin and Gohan, but Goku stops him by using his new Kaio-ken technique. Nappa pleads to Vegeta for help, but the ruthless Saiyan kills him instead. Now, the stage is set for the showdown between Goku and Vegeta!

Goku's now up against the powerful Saiyan prince, Vegeta. When Goku's double Kaio-Ken attack fails, Goku breaks his promise to King Kai and uses the triple Kaio-Ken. On the verge of defeat, Vegeta decides to blow up Earth!

Realizing Goku is much stronger than expected, Vegeta transforms into a giant ape, putting Goku in a tight spot. On their way to Master Roshi's, Gohan and Krillin sense Goku's crisis and rush back to his aide. Meanwhile, Goku decides he has to use his new technique, the Spirit Bomb, to stop Vegeta. But does he have enough time to do it?

As Vegeta almost crushes Goku, Yajirobe manages to cut off his tail causing Vegeta to return to normal. Furious, Vegeta attacks the other three warriors. Goku tells Gohan to fight against Vegeta to give Goku time to give the Spirit Bomb to Krillin.

Despite getting hit by the Spirit Bomb, Vegeta is still going. Although injured and weak, he seems too strong for Earth's warriors. But just before Vegeta can finish off Gohan, Gohan's tail grows back! Gohan then transforms into a giant ape and starts attacking Vegeta!

The badly injured Vegeta has left Earth, promising to return and get revenge. Goku wants to wish Yamcha, Tien, Chiaotzu and Piccolo back to life. But the Dragon Balls don't exist anymore since Piccolo and Kami are dead. Krillin remembers that the Saiyans had said that Dragon Balls could be found on the planet Namek. Mr. Popo and Bulma go to find out if Kami's original spaceship will be able to take them there.

Kami's spaceship is ready and Bulma, Krillin and Gohan set out on the journey to Namek. Their nice ride is interrupted when they are suddenly attacked and captured by a mysterious spaceship run by refugees. Meanwhile, the injured Vegeta has travelled back to an army base to recover.

The mysterious group of refugees accuse Bulma, Gohan and Krillin of being henchmen of the evil Frieza, who destroyed their home world. However, when the trio help out in a dangerous situation, the refugees allow them to continue on their way to Namek.

On Namek, Bulma, Gohan and Krillin begin their hunt for the Dragon Balls with the help of two Namek natives. Back on Earth, Goku begins his training again though he has not completely healed yet. And Vegeta continues to rest in a recovery room at one of Frieza's bases.

Just as Bulma, Krillin and Gohan are about to find all the Dragon Balls, their two 'Namek' friends reveal their true identities! Our heroes find themselves in a whole lot of trouble! Meanwhile, Vegeta learns Frieza has already gone to Namek to find the Dragon Balls. Vegeta quickly blasts off to Namek to beat Frieza to them!

Bulma, Gohan and Krillin have escaped the two evil aliens and finally arrive on the real planet Namek. Their joy doesn't last long because they soon see Vegeta's space pod fly over them, followed by a second one. The worst is yet to come: the powerful Frieza is already on Namek searching for the Dragon Balls!

One of Frieza's assistants senses the power of Gohan and Krillin, and sends a reconnaissance party to investigate. The scouts break into the space ship, but Gohan and Krillin beat them easily. Meanwhile, Vegeta is challenged by another of Frieza's henchmen, Cui. But Cui proves no match for the Saiyan prince.

When Frieza and his troops pass by, Gohan and Krillin sense the incredible power of Frieza! Even worse, Frieza has already collected four Dragon Balls! On Earth, Goku instantly recovers after eating a Senzu bean. He hops on a space ship repaired by Dr. Briefs to rush off to Namek to help his friends.

As Goku continues his journey to Namek, Gohan and Krillin watch the Nameks trying to defend their planet from Frieza's henchmen. The heartless Frieza watches in delight as the Nameks are beaten and battered, and it seems no-one will be spared, not even the Namekian children. The demonic Dodoria demonstrates his destructive power against the defenceless village. Unfortunately for Frieza, a Namek elder destroys the scouters, stopping Frieza and his men from finding the other Nameks.

Frieza's henchmen target a Namek child during their search for the Dragon Balls, but Gohan and Krillin rescue the child before it’s too late. They soon find themselves being pursued by Dodoria and try to give him the slip.

Vegeta intercepts Dodoria, who hopes Vegeta will spare him if he reveals it was Frieza who destroyed the Saiyan homeworld. Vegeta decides to destroy Dodoria anyway and then begins searching for Gohan and Krillin. Unable to find them, Vegeta decides to start searching for the Dragon Balls. Meanwhile, Gohan and Krillin find Bulma, who has great news: Goku will arrive on Namek in six days.

Goku struggles to fix his damaged ship and barely avoids getting barbecued in deep space. Meanwhile, Vegeta beats Frieza to the Namek village and takes the fifth Dragon Ball for himself.

To Goku's surprise, Yamcha, Tien, Chaiotzu and Piccolo have reached King Kai's planet and have begun training. On Namek, Frieza's henchmen continue searching for the Dragon Balls while Gohan and friends learn about the eldest Namek. Krillin sets out to find the last Dragon Ball, while Vegeta decides to amuse himself by facing Zarbon.

Vegeta has surprised Zarbon with his increased power, but Zarbon returns the surprise by transforming into an incredibly powerful monster. In the end, it appears Zarbon's attack has destroyed Vegeta.

Dende takes Krillin to see the eldest Namek. The ancient Namek leader uses his special power to increase Krillin's potential. Now Krillin will have to prevent the seventh and last Dragon Ball from falling into Frieza's hands.

After defeating Vegeta, Zarbon returns to Frieza's space ship. There, Frieza becomes enraged that Zarbon did not bring back Vegeta, who knows the location of a hidden Dragon Ball. Zarbon is sent out to retrieve Vegeta and put him in a recovery room before he dies.

Vegeta recovers from his battle with Zarbon and he prepares to escape. Before leaving, however, he steals Frieza's five Dragon Balls. Vegeta senses Krillin's power and begins following him, but Vegeta is being followed by Zarbon.

Goku's journey to Namek continues as he trains in heavy gravity. Unfortunately, a magnetic storm causes the gravity machine to go out of control. Goku will have to survive the most intense gravity he's ever experienced.

Zarbon challenges a rejuvenated Vegeta to battle, but is easily crushed by Vegeta's increased power! Vegeta then threatens Krillin and Bulma until he gets the seventh Dragon Ball. Krillin hopes Gohan finds the other Dragon Ball, before Vegeta can make his wish.

After Gohan returns with the last Dragon Ball, Krillin takes him to see the eldest Namek. Meanwhile, the Dragon Ball rolls into the lake, forcing Bulma to use a capsule submarine in the very difficult task of getting it back.

As they travel to see the Eldest Namek, Krillin and Gohan fail to realize Vegeta is following them. Meanwhile, the Ginyu Force is approaching Namek on orders by Frieza.

Krillin and Gohan reach the Eldest Namek just as Vegeta catches up with them. The Eldest Namek uses his special power on Gohan as he did on Krillin. Then, they all sense the arrival of the Ginyu Force and their great power. Krillin and Gohan decide to make a truce with Vegeta in order to protect the Dragon Balls.

Frieza's Ginyu Force has arrived on Namek and begins searching for the Dragon Balls. Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta race to reach Vegeta's hiding place for the remaining Dragon Balls, but suddenly, the Ginyu Force appears in front of them. With all seven Dragon Balls now in Frieza's possession, the Ginyu Force decide to have some fun by fighting our heroes.

The Ginyu Force had reached planet Namek and Captain Ginyu had already taken the Dragon balls to Frieza. The rest of the members were thinking on what to do with Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan. After a few games it was decided that Guldo will take on the two earthlings and Recoome will take on Vegeta. At first Krillin and Gohan have the upper hand but soon Guldo uses some of his own tricks to immobilize Gohan and Krillin. Now he rips of a tree and throws it towards Gohan but a blow from Vegeta finishes Guldo and Krillin are saved. Now it’s Recoome's turn. Where is Goku in the time of need?

Vegeta faces off against the ruthless Recoome, and it seems that Vegeta's got it in the bag after beating Recoome senseless. Unfortunately Recoome is not defeated, and Vegeta's energy begins to run low. Krillin and Gohan are forced to intervene, Krillin knocks down Recoome, while Gohan recovers Vegeta to safety. Recoome still won't go down, he defeats Krillin, and Gohan is forced to take on the mighty warrior by himself.

Chi Chi is having a nightmare about Gohan’s well-being. Dr. Briefs then tells Chi Chi that his space capsule is finally ready. Chi Chi then rushes inside and starts the space pod only for it to fall after going around 100 feet in the sky. Meanwhile, Gohan continues to battle the radically powerful member of the Ginyu Force, Recoome. Gohan slightly gains the upper hand against Recoome, but Recoome quickly turns the tables once again, but Goku enters the scene, giving his friends Senzu beans, and preparing himself for battle.

Goku begins to fight with Recoome after he gives Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta senzu Beans. Recoome powers up for a "Recoome Kaboom," after the scouter reads that Goku's power level is only 5,000. He thinks he can beat Goku easily. But, Goku is concealing his power, and only Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin know it. Recoome starts to attack, but then stops dead because Goku elbowed him in the stomach, taking Recoome down. Jeice and Burter are surprised, but not worried...Vegeta begins to wonder if Goku is a legendary Super Saiyan. The last Super Saiyan (who lived hundreds of years ago) could only maintain his power in the transformed state, and he could not control it. Goku, however, was in complete control, and had lost his tail permanently as a boy, so he could not transform. Jeice and Burter start to attack. Goku just stands there. Or is he moving? Vegeta sees foot prints in different spots, so he must be moving. But, how could even a saiyans eyes not even sense the movement? Goku begins to fight back, and makes a fool of Burter and Jeice. He defeats Burter, and tells Jeice that he can leave, unscathed, as long as he leaves the planet. Jeice flies away, but he does not leave Namek.

Burter and Jeice attempt their assault on Goku, and it appears they are not able to land a single blow on the heroic Saiyan after his intense one hundred times Earth's normal gravity training, after Goku single handedly defeats the fastest member of the Ginyu force, Burter, Jeice retreats to return with an enraged Captain Ginyu.

The battle between Goku and Captain Ginyu begins and the ruthless Ginyu is trying to uncover Goku's true hidden power. At first, Goku conceals the bulk of his strength, but he relents at the insistence of Captain Ginyu. Then, Captain Ginyu and Jeice witness a power unlike anything they could have possibly anticipated.

Captain Ginyu and Jeice discover the truth about Goku's immense power. Meanwhile, Guru grants Dende the gift of healing. And Nail races back to defend Guru from the approaching Frieza. But will Nail be able to stand in Frieza's way?

Frieza battles Nail to learn the password to activate the Dragon Balls. Meanwhile, Goku continues to face the remaining members of the Ginyu Force. And Captain Ginyu has a devious move in store for Goku: a body swap.

Vegeta's plan to retake all seven Dragon Balls is interrupted when Gohan and Krillin reach them first. All three are in for a big surprise, though, when Captain Ginyu shows up... in Goku's body.

Gohan and Krillin battle Captain Ginyu, who is in control of Goku's body, but without knowing the secret of uniting body with soul, he can't fight at Goku's full power. The action heats up when Vegeta goes into battle, claiming to be what all Frieza's men fear, a Super Saiyan. After taking out Jeice, Vegeta charges towards Captain Ginyu, but Ginyu has other plans, body switching.

An injured Captain Ginyu awaits Vegeta's onslaught, planning to switch bodies with him as he did with Goku. Goku, struggling in Captain Ginyu's crippled body, will have to find a way to get back into his body before it's too late and to put a stop to Captain Ginyu.

Nail finally gives out in his struggle against Frieza, he then reveals that the fight was to buy time for Dende to give the password to Krillin and Gohan. Frustrated, Frieza races back to stop Krillin and Gohan from making their wishes to revive their friends.

Gohan and Krillin summon Porunga to wish their friends back to life. But to their surprise and disappointment, they learn only one person can be revived per wish. Unable to wish back all four of their friends, Krillin and Gohan decide to wish Piccolo back to life, which will revive Kami and the Dragon balls on Earth. But Vegeta arrives before the last final wish is cast, and he is not in the most forgiving mood, however he is the least of their issues, as the tyrannical Frieza arrives and sets the stage for the inevitable battle.

With Guru's passing, the dragon balls are made completely useless and are no more than ordinary stones, Outraged Frieza claims he will kill the remaining Z-fighters, one by one. As he and Vegeta fight, Piccolo arrives on Namek, finding a badly injured Nail. Unable to fight in his own body, Nail suggests he and Piccolo combine their strengths through a Namekian fusion technique! Once fused with Nail, Piccolo races to the battlefield to help his friends against Frieza. Vegeta then requests that Frieza stops fooling around and proposes that he should transform, revealing his true power, but does Vegeta know what he's getting himself into.

Frieza's dark history is revealed, including the destruction of planet Vegeta and the death of King Vegeta as well. In a new transformed state, Frieza's power reaches new heights, over a million! As Gohan and Krillin face off against him, Krillin falls prey to Frieza's vicious attack.

Gohan is seriously wounded while battling Frieza, but a renewed Krillin manages to stall Frieza long enough for Dende to restore Gohan's health. And Piccolo, united with Nail, arrives on the scene and ready to take on Frieza.

Piccolo tells the others to stay back and he will handle Frieza alone. To everyone's surprise, including Frieza's, Piccolo manages to hold his own due to his union with Nail. Despite Frieza's vicious assaults, Piccolo looks as if he's gaining the upper hand. Can Piccolo win or will Frieza turn the tables?

As the battle continues, Piccolo removes his weighted clothing and increases his power, attacking Frieza head on. Knowing that his current strength isn't enough to overpower Piccolo, Frieza then reveals his trump card, a second transformation. After transforming into a hideous form, Frieza quickly gains the advantage over Piccolo. Vegeta starts to form a plan that could lead to victory. Unable to see his mentor suffer, Gohan springs into action, rushing to Piccolo's aid.

Gohan races into battle to help Piccolo, displaying surprising power against Frieza, and almost achieves victory. Vegeta reveals his plan to Krillin, telling him to beat him within an inch of his life and allow Dende to heal him, allowing his power to increase after healing from serious injury. This could be the Z Fighters best chance to survive as Frieza transforms into his final, ultimate form.

Having transformed into his ultimate form, Frieza begins an assault against the Z Fighters. He then proves just how evil he is by killing the only one who can't be healed by Dende, Dende himself. The next one on Frieza's hit list, Gohan, but a surprise move from Vegeta saves Gohan from certain destruction. He then makes a bizarre and unprecedented claim, he says he will take on Frieza all by himself, because he believes for sure he was is now a Super Saiyan.

Despite his increase of power, Vegeta doesn't have what it takes to stop the invincible Frieza. As Frieza pummels the beaten Vegeta, the others, gripped with fear, have no choice but to agonizingly watch. Meanwhile, back on the spaceship, Goku's healing is almost complete! But will he be finished in time to save his fellow Saiyan from Frieza?

Vegeta is brutally beaten, while, powerless to stop Frieza, Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin watch in horror. Vegeta is thrown down to the ground, and Frieza prepares to deliver the final blow, but, Goku steps in, and Frieza diverts his attention to the renewed Saiyan. Vegeta then explains to Frieza that Goku must be a Super Saiyan, and that Frieza stood no chance against this new threat. Frieza fires a finishing ray through Vegeta's heart, rendering the proud Saiyan warrior helpless. Vegeta explains to Goku how Frieza was responsible for the man he had become, and he begged him to not let him exert the same catastrophic deed to anyone else. Vegeta cries his last tears, and dies. Goku promises he will carry out Vegeta's wish to the best of his abilities, he then buries Vegeta in a shallow grave. The fight between Goku and Frieza is about to begin.

Goku begins his ultimate battle against Frieza, and it seems he and Frieza are equally matched, and even Frieza has to admit that he is the strongest Saiyan by far. Meanwhile, King Kai reveals that Goku might just have a chance, that if anyone could take down the evil Frieza, it would be him. Goku and Frieza match blow for blow, and Piccolo, Gohan and Krillin have trouble just watching them. The Z-fighters watch on anxiously as Goku is thrown into a pool of lava, and it seems that no-one stands a chance now, but Goku rushes up to the surface and reveals he is only beginning to warm up.

The battle between Goku and Frieza continues. Goku's underwater attack seems to give him the upper hand, until Frieza traps him inside an energy ball. Frieza bashes the trapped Goku around, nearly putting an end to the Saiyan warrior.

Frieza boasts he can defeat Goku without the use of his hands, but Goku's fighting skills make Frieza regret making such a statement. Meanwhile, Captain Ginyu pulls off his body switch technique on Bulma, leaving her trapped in the body of a frog.

Captain Ginyu runs into the Z-fighters, but as Bulma. Frieza claims he has only been using 1% of his incredible power. He then proves he's not bluffing by powering up to 50% of his maximum, and Goku cannot even land a punch against the invincible giant of evil. Piccolo realizes the horrific truth that Goku won't win, just as Captain Ginyu's identity is revealed.

Even Goku's powerful Kaio-Ken Attack is no match for the giant of evil, Frieza. Meanwhile Captain Ginyu, in Bulma's body, plots to switch yet again, and with Piccolo, but his attempts are cut short when Gohan throws Bulma, (in a frogs body) in the way of Ginyu's body switching beam, resulting in Bulma being returned to her original body, and Ginyu being returned to the body of a frog. Goku is thrown underwater, and Frieza tries to drown him, but a vision of his close friends and family being violently murdered, and his planet destroyed, gives Goku the encouragement he needs to raise his Kaioken attack to twenty times normal power. Goku fires a Kamehameha at Frieza, and for a moment it looks like Goku has claimed victory, but no, Frieza is alive. What can Goku do now.

Goku is yet again saved from the depths of despair by another vision, but this time it is his old Saiyan rival Vegeta, he tells the battle weary Goku that he is the last hope of a race of brave warriors. After the vision fades, Goku uses all the precious energy he has left to attack Frieza, but Frieza tosses him aside as if he were nothing. This causes Goku to use his last and most powerful technique, the Spirit Bomb, but can he keep Frieza occupied long enough to gather the energy needed, yes, Frieza has no idea of the incoming assault, thinking the weakened Goku is merely throwing his arms up in defeat. But can he stall Frieza for long enough.

Yamcha, Tien and Chiaotzu have to put what they learned from King Kai to use when the dead members of the ruthless Ginyu Force show up on King Kai's planet. Frieza is still unable to figure out what Goku is up to, that is until he knocks Goku into a lake, and notices the reflection of the Spirit Bomb. Realizing that the Spirit Bomb could already have the power to destroy him Frieza attempts to finish off Goku, but a brave kick from Piccolo saves Goku, but now that Frieza knows about Goku's attack, it seems he will stop at nothing to stop the Spirit Bomb from achieving full power.

Goku continues gathering the energy for his Spirit Bomb, calling upon the entire solar system for help. Frieza tries to attack Goku, but Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan stall him. Finally, Goku launches the bomb. It makes a direct hit, also engulfing Goku's friends in the blast, who has survived?

Frieza has survived, and he continues his vicious assault against Goku, but a brave sacrifice from the lion hearted Piccolo saves Goku from certain destruction, the next man on Frieza's hit list, Goku's best friend Krillin, who is blown to smithereens. Krillin's death is too much for Goku to bear, the loss of his friends through their radical acts of unselfishness causes a transformation in Goku, that of which he has never experienced before, but what does the golden transformation mean, has the legendary Super Saiyan emerged at last?

Engulfed in a golden light, Goku is now a Super Saiyan and completely rejuvenated. Frieza is curious about this transformation, but remains unimpressed. However, when the fighting begins again, Frieza can't believe that this Super Saiyan is more powerful in every way, at last the evil tyrant is receiving a taste of his own medicine.

Unable to defeat the Super Saiyan Goku, Frieza does the unthinkable and launches a powerful blast on Namek itself. Goku is stunned as the blast rips through the core of the planet. Can any of the Z Fighters manage to survive this new development?

Within minutes, Namek will be completely destroyed. Now, Goku launches a powerful attack against Frieza to end the battle and escape before it's too late. But Frieza manages to gather enough energy to reach his full power level, making the two fighters more evenly matched. Meanwhile, Gohan races to find Bulma and get her to Goku's spaceship before it's too late.

The battle between Goku and Frieza rages on as Namek's destruction draws closer. On Earth, all seven Dragon Balls have been collected and King Kai formulates to save the inhabitants of Namek and put an end to Frieza. But is it too late for Kami and Mr. Popo to call the Eternal Dragon?

King Kai's plan nears completion as all of Frieza's victims are wished back to life. Meanwhile, Frieza launches a powerful attack against Goku and he appears to have been defeated. With Goku apparently out of action, Gohan arrives on the scene and becomes the last line of defence against Frieza.

Now that Guru and the people of Namek have been brought back to life, the Namekian Dragon balls and Porunga reappear for the final wish. While a newly renewed Goku battles Frieza, Dende races to make the final wish to complete King Kai's plan. But Frieza spots the Namekian Dragon and wants his wish of immortality. Can Goku stop Frieza and allow Dende to make the wish? or will the universe succumb to Frieza's wicked reign?

Everyone has been wished off Namek to Earth, except for Frieza and Goku, who has chosen to stay and put an end to the fight they started. Frieza won't give up without a fight and the time of Namek's destruction is almost at hand, meaning Goku might be trapped on the fiery furnace when it explodes!

Namek's destruction is approaching fast, but the Super Saiyan Goku seems to have finally defeated Frieza. But Frieza has some tricks that could turn the tables on Goku, an energy disk, that will follow him wherever he goes.

Frieza's deadly energy disk continues to follow Goku across the ill-fated planet Namek, Frieza grows desperate and reckless in trying to destroy Goku, who manages to counter every move. He creates another disk and begins to lose control of Goku's moves. When Goku resumes his assault against Frieza, he is distracted. Frieza's recklessness finally costs him the battle, slicing him and his power in half, making Goku the victor. But can he escape before Namek is finally destroyed?

After being cut down by his own deadly attack, Frieza begs Goku to help him. Reluctantly, Goku gives him some energy to escape Namek, but Frieza is unwilling to accept defeat and uses Goku's energy to fire a blast at Goku. Goku turns around and redirects the beam at Frieza, defeating the evil tyrant once and for all.

Goku races towards Frieza's spaceship to escape the exploding Namek, while King Kai explains to the others that though Goku had defeated Frieza, he hadn't won the battle, he needed to escape the fiery Namek in one piece. Goku's last hope vanishes as Frieza's ship fails to operate, and sinks below into a pool of lava. Goku begins to contemplate his fate, and the planet Namek's time finally expires, it explodes. King Kai is left with the task of informing Goku's family and friends of his tragic death, but they don't seem worried, because the powers of the Namekian Dragon balls allowed a person to be revived several times. But King Kai knew the dreadful truth that couldn't allow Goku and Krillin to return to life. He told Bulma that when the dragon restores someone's life he brings them back to the place where they died, and unfortunately, Goku and Krillin died on a planet which no longer exists. Vegeta is pleased at the news, but Gohan defends his father’s honour by challenging him, before being knocked senseless and rescued by Piccolo. It seems that the pure hearted Saiyan is just a memory now.

With the battle on Namek over, it is time to wish people back. Bulma and the others figure out a strategy to bring back Krillin and Goku. The Namekians and Vegeta stay at Bulma's residence (the Briefs compound) while the Namekian dragon balls regenerate. The first wish is to bring Krillin and Goku to the Earth check-in station, but Porunga says Goku cannot be brought back because he is alive. The second wish restores Krillin. The third was for Goku, but Goku has refused, so they end up bringing back Yamcha. On the next set of wishes, Chiaotzu and Tien are brought back, and the final wish takes the Namekians to their new home.

Garlic Jr. has managed to escape the Dead Zone and is eager for revenge. Meanwhile, life for the Z Fighters has become peaceful as Krillin now has a girlfriend named Maron and Master Roshi is having a party on his island. Up at the Lookout, however, Garlic Jr. and his Spice Boys have trapped Kami and Mr. Popo in small glass bottles. Garlic Jr. then plans to release the Blackwater Mist onto Earth, turning the people into mindless evil fiends.

As the Blackwater Mist spreads, Gohan has snuck off to Master Roshi's island to join the party, with a worried and angry Chi-Chi in pursuit. Soon the mist affects everyone, except for Gohan, Krillin and Maron. Now they are forced to fight their infected friends for their lives. And when the Spice Boys arrive, they learn they only have twenty four hours to reverse the effects of the mist with the Sacred Water or they will remain that way forever.

As Piccolo tries to hold off the Spice Boys and infected Z Fighters, Gohan and Krillin race to the Lookout to get release the Sacred Water in time. But Garlic Jr. is there, guarding the Sacred Water himself. Gohan and Krillin stand ready to take on Garlic Jr. and his forces to save the world.

Gohan and Krillin are face to face with Garlic Jr.'s new fighter - Piccolo, who has been infected by the Black Water Mist. Mustard and Salt take up the fight, and it seems that they are going to beat the remaining Z-fighters. Krillin is beaten badly, which forces Gohan's power to sky rocket. He finishes off the two Spice Boys, and prepares to face his friend and mentor, Piccolo.

Gohan continues to take a beating from Piccolo, while Krillin tries to free Kami and Mr. Popo. But he too is infected by the Black Water Mist, leaving Gohan the only hope for the Earth. It seems that there is no way Garlic Jr. can be defeated, but when Garlic Jr drops his guard and attempts to finish off Gohan, Piccolo grabs the bottles containing the pint sized Kami and Mr. Popo. He then reveals that the black water mist had no effect on him, and that he and Krillin were only pretending. The odds have improved, but the battle is far from over.

Piccolo and Krillin reveal they were not infected by the Black Water Mist, only pretending so they could catch Garlic Jr. off guard. Krillin frees Kami and Mr. Popo and Piccolo tells them to release the sacred water, but to accomplish this, they must travel to the ground of the former guardians past, where they will find the seven air currents of the world. Meanwhile, Gohan and Krillin fight the remaining Spice Boys, while Piccolo takes on Garlic Jr., who uses the Makyo Star to increase his power tenfold.

The Makyo Star has made Garlic Jr. and his Spice Boys more powerful than ever and the three Z Fighters outmatched. Meanwhile within the Lookout, the past guardians try to prevent Kami and Mr. Popo from releasing the Sacred Water. The battles begin to take their toll on them, as Piccolo and Kami both feel their life force being drained away. But Gohan, having defeated the Spice Boys, steps in to face off against Garlic Jr. alone.

As Gohan launches his attack on Garlic Jr., Piccolo continues to fade due to the former guardians continuing their attacks on Kami. As the battles rages on, Mr. Popo releases the Sacred Water through the seven air currents. The people on Earth are returned to normal and Kami is freed by the former guardians. Outraged that his plan has failed, Garlic Jr. reopens the Dead Zone to suck the battered Z Fighters in forever.

Garlic Jr. watches as the Z Fighters, Kami and Mr. Popo struggle to keep from being sucked into the Dead Zone, thinking it's only a matter of time. Gohan is the only one still standing, protecting Krillin and Piccolo, and it will take a risky attack to put an end to Garlic Jr. once and for all.

While on a shopping trip with Marron, Krillin is surprised to discover that she has marriage on her mind, meanwhile back at Kame house, Master Roshi claims that an emergency has become apparent that requires everyone to assemble at the turtle hermits dwelling. Once there they learn that the so called emergency is no more than a forgotten birthday, the turtle is 1000 years old. Later on, Krillin wonders whether he is good enough for Marron, hearing Krillin's dilemma, the turtle informs Krillin of the mermaid's tear, the world’s largest pearl, a gift worthy of royalty. Soon afterwards Gohan and Krillin venture into the vast unknown of the sea, and come across the legendary pearl, but the sea creatures surrounding the pearl are ready to defend it, with their lives. Krillin and Gohan return to Master Roshi's, and Marron leaves to enjoy the comforts of the beach, Krillin confronts her there and tells her it's over, Krillin revisits Kame house, with tears in his eyes, hidden by sunglasses.

Chi Chi hires a tutor for Gohan, who literally cracks the whip. Meanwhile, Vegeta arrives at Capsule Corp, returning from space without having found Goku. But there is no time for that when every Z Fighter senses a powerful force and their greatest fear is realized: Frieza survived and is coming to Earth for revenge. And with Goku still somewhere in space, the Z Fighters are on their own and don't stand a chance.

As Frieza and his father, King Cold, approach the Earth, the Z Fighters meet up near the landing site and prepare for battle. Without Goku though, they do not believe that they will stand a chance. Frieza is eager to get his revenge and once his ship lands, he believes he sees Goku in the distance. This is because he now has a fear of Goku after what happened on Planet Namek, and he remembers what happened. When he returns to the present, he orders his soldiers to begin the attack. But a mysterious warrior arrives and slices through soldiers, intent on defending the Earth.

The "Mysterious youth" confronts Frieza, King Cold and their soldiers. The soldiers attack the stranger but get sliced up by his sword. More soldiers charge at the boy but they are easily handled. Frieza and King Cold laugh thinking the stranger will be no trouble at all. The stranger announces that he knows Goku and is a Super Saiyan. He transforms into a Super Saiyan and the Z-Fighters wonder if it’s Goku they are sensing. Frieza tries 3 times to defeat the stranger all failing. He fires a ball at the stranger 10 times the size of the one that destroyed Namek. He just catches it shatters it. "Is this yours" he said to Frieza. The stranger then takes out his sword. He slices Frieza in half.

Having finished with Frieza, the mysterious stranger sets his sights on King Cold. To the Z Fighters' amazement, he defeats King Cold with ease. Even more surprising, he announces to the Z Fighters that Goku will arrive in two hours. Though suspicious, the Z Fighters follow him to where he says Goku will land and wait. Once the two hours pass, a space pod lands and Goku emerges, surprised to see his friends there to greet him.

Goku is asked by the mysterious stranger to speak in private and then has his Super Saiyan strength tested. Once the stranger is satisfied, he reveals his name is Trunks, he is Bulma and Vegeta's son, he came from a grim future, explaining Goku will die from a heart disease and all the Z Fighters, except Gohan, will be killed in three years by androids created by Dr. Gero. After giving Goku the disease antidote, Trunks returns to his own time, leaving Goku to explain to the Z Fighters what lies ahead.

Goku explains to the others how he survived Namek's destruction, saying he managed to get to a Ginyu Force space pod and crashed on another planet. There, the inhabitants nursed Goku back to health and taught him a new technique: the Instant Transmission. As for Trunks warning about the future, Piccolo (having heard everything because of his good ears) says everyone must decide whether they're going to fight or not now. They all agree to fight and begin training.

Trying to become stronger than Goku, Vegeta trains in 300 times Earth's gravity. Yamcha gives it a try, but it’s way too much for him. And Vegeta nearly gets himself killed when the capsule explodes. Meanwhile, Goku and Piccolo have been busy training hard with Gohan.

While training for the fight against the Androids, Goku and Piccolo must take on an even greater challenge...getting a driver's license, but while on their last warning, a bus drives off a cliff, and Goku and Piccolo have no choice but to save the children inside. When they return home without their driver’s license, Chi Chi is not impressed.

Three years of training have passed and the day Trunks warned the Z Fighters about has come. They all arrive on the island, except Vegeta, where they meet Bulma's son, Baby Trunks. Yajirobe has also come to give Goku some Sensu Beans, but is then suddenly shot down by the two Androids. The Z Fighters search the island's city for the Androids and Yamcha is the first unlucky one to find them.

Yamcha's life hangs in the balance as Krillin races him back to Bulma to get a Sensu Bean. The remaining Z Fighters are confronted by Androids 19 and 20, who explains Dr. Gero has monitored Goku since he was a child, documenting his fights and making it impossible for him to defeat his creations. After Goku, Piccolo and Tien lure the Androids away from the city, as the z-fighters land Tien notices something strange, Goku seems to be out of breath, and just from flying. Goku reveals Dr. Gero and the Androids did not know everything about him as he transforms into a Super Saiyan, and gains the advantage. The battle to change history is about to begin.

The battle three years in the making has begun, with Goku versus Android 19. As the other Z Fighters watch, Goku seems to have the fight well under control. But then the fight takes a disastrous turn as Goku mysteriously loses his strength. And Android 19 is not about to slow down.

The Z Fighters realize the heart disease Trunks warned them about has infected Goku and not even a Senzu Bean can help him. After launching a vicious assault, Android 19 begins draining the fallen Goku's Super Saiyan strength away. It looks like the end for Goku, but then Vegeta arrives on the battlefield and announces he will finish the Androids... using his Super Saiyan strength!

As Yamcha races Goku home for the heart virus antidote, Super Saiyan Vegeta takes on Android 19. Vegeta easily gains the upper hand, even Android 19's energy absorption device does not appear to slow him down. After Vegeta blows Android 19 to pieces, Android 20 runs off toward the mountains. While Vegeta and the remaining Z Fighters search for him, Android 20 realizes he will need more energy to defeat Vegeta and he'll steal the Z Fighters' to do it.

During the search, Android 20 attacks Piccolo and begins draining his energy. Gohan manages to save him before it's too late and, as the other Z Fighters gather around, Piccolo says he will fight the android alone. As the battle ensues, Android 20 is baffled to find Piccolo is much stronger than he anticipated. Meanwhile, Trunks has returned from the future and finds his last visit somehow changed the course of events... as he has never seen these androids before.

Android 20 creates a diversion to escape by shooting down Bulma's plane, but Trunks manages to rescue her and Baby Trunks. Bulma then reveals she has seen Android 20 before: it's Dr. Gero himself! Trunks then explains about the androids he has fought in the future, which are far more powerful. The Z Fighters set out to find Dr. Gero's laboratory to destroy the androids, but only Dr. Gero where the laboratory is and he is intent on waking the androids.

As they search the mountains for Dr. Gero's laboratory, Trunks tries to warn a stubborn Vegeta that the Androids are more powerful than he realizes. Meanwhile, the remaining Z Fighters arrive at North City and decide to split up in their search. Krillin is attacked by Dr. Gero, but manages to follow him to his laboratory and signals the others. While the Z Fighters try to break in, Dr. Gero activates Androids 17 and 18, who are not inclined to be under his control.

To the surprise of the Z Fighters, Android 17 finishes off Dr. Gero once and for all and Android 18 prepares to activate another android. Even Trunks, destroying the entire lab, does not stop her from releasing Android 16. 17 and 18 learn Gero's mission is to destroy Goku and decide to do just that, flying away from the Z Fighters without bothering to fight. Angered over being ignored, Vegeta chases after the three Androids and doesn't let anyone stop him, including Trunks. While the others follow, Vegeta catches up with the Androids and challenges them to battle. 18 accepts the challenge and the battle is about to begin.

The battle between Vegeta and Android 18 begins. As it ensues, Android 17 admits Vegeta is stronger than expected, but he is confident 18 will win. Once the other Z Fighters finally arrive, Vegeta refuses to accept their help. 17 agrees not to interfere with Vegeta and 18's fight, only if none of the others join in. The fight continues and it looks like Vegeta might win, but Piccolo figures out Vegeta's getting weaker while 18 remains strong. Vegeta realizes 18 was toying with him and gets clobbered. Trunks then transforms to Super Saiyan and leaps into battle to defend his father.

In an earth-shaking battle, the beautiful Android 18 brings Vegeta to his knees. But before she can deliver the final blow, Trunks steps in to help. Soon an all-out war between good and evil begins, with the Androids gaining the upper hand. Now the unhindered androids set their sights on the ultimate prize, Goku!

Struggling to recover from their fight with the androids, Vegeta, Trunks, Tien, and Piccolo realize a grim truth: unless they can increase their powers quickly, they have no chance against the Android trio. In a drastic move, Piccolo flies to Kami's place high above the earth and makes a most unexpected proposal.

The evil androids hit the road in hot pursuit of Goku but are delayed by some hyperactive hoodlums. Krillin and Trunks race to move Goku to a safer hiding place, while up in the clouds Kami wrestles with Piccolo's difficult offer. Everyone is scheming of ways to stop the Androids, but will any of them work?

With the androids close behind, the Z Fighters retreat to Master Roshi's house to plan their next move. And with Goku still in poor health, their list of options is short. Bulma makes a disquieting discovery, the wreckage of a second time capsule! Where did it come from, and more importantly, who was in it?

Trunks and Gohan join Bulma at the crash site of the mysterious time capsule and find an eerie clue, the shell of a large, locust-like creature! Whatever arrived in the time capsule isn't human, and it's on the loose! Can our heroes solve this mystery and halt the approaching androids at the same time?

It's doomsday in Gingertown, a quiet city near the crash site of the time capsule. A monster with the appearance of an insect has unleashed its powers, turning Gingertown into a ghostly grave! In response to this new menace, Kami finally fuses with Piccolo, and the new Super Namek flies to Gingertown for a showdown of epic proportions!

The deserted streets of Gingertown become a battlefield as the powered-up Piccolo confronts this terror from the future. The monster's name is Cell, and he gains strength from sucking the life out of his victims! But that's not the only secret the creature reveals. Somehow, he also knows Goku's special attack, the Kamehameha!

A fleet of tanks roll into Ginger town to destroy the new threat, but Cell quiets the army's attempt with one swift blow. Now it's up to Piccolo to stop the monster, and his chances look slim. As the Namek struggles to survive, Cell takes the opportunity to introduce himself! He's actually an android, infused with the cells of the greatest fighters on Earth, the ultimate achievement of Dr.Gero! He also explains how the samples were gathered, through use of an inconspicuous robotic fly which followed Goku throughout his lifetime dating back from Dragon Ball! Ever since the first Martial Arts Tournament, where Goku and Piccolo met for the first time, Dr.Gero had been gathering specimens for his perfect creation! Cell is a living copy of the Z fighter’s attacks and abilities. How can Piccolo have any hope of defeating him?

Piccolo has been badly injured from his fight with the android Cell, but he cleverly distracts Cell long enough to regenerate his stricken arm. Now Piccolo is ready for another round, and Krillin and Trunks have arrived for backup! With the odds quickly mounting against him, Cell makes a tactical decision to run away!

Escaping the heroes, Cell strives to carry out his awful plan. By absorbing Androids 17 and 18, Cell can evolve to his perfect, unstoppable form! To save the future, Trunks and Krillin race to destroy Dr. Gero's lab, while Piccolo and Tien search for the elusive Cell. But how can they stop an android who knows their every move?

After learning that Cell came from his own bleak future, Trunks is left to ponder the effects of his journey through time. In South City, Cell plows through more civilians and accidentally runs into Krillin! Goku finally gets back on his feet, but with Cell and the other androids in full stride, can the Saiyan hero still make a difference?

After enduring the terrifically horrifying effect of the viral heart disease, Goku recovers, and has only one objective on his mind, surpassing a super saiyan. With Vegeta's mind set on reaching the same seemingly unreachable goal, Goku takes him, Trunks and Gohan to the mysterious hyperbolic time chamber, a room where one year in there, is equivalent to that of a day in the real world. Meanwhile, the androids face an unexpected and unforeseen issue, Goku's not home. With the androids now closing in on Master Roshi's island can anything stop the destructive trio of despair.

Piccolo begins his epic battle against Android 17, and he seems to be on par with the mechanical monster, meanwhile Bulma continues to work on the remote that will shut down the Androids. Cell can feel Piccolo's energy, and knows he must be fighting one of the Androids, he charges towards them, in the hope that he will become complete.

Piccolo and 17 continue their showdown, not known to them that the power hungry Cell is approaching fast. Piccolo is as strong as 17 but fatigue kicks in, while the malicious android's power remains undrained. Meanwhile Goku and Gohan impatiently wait for Vegeta and Trunks to finish their Super Saiyan training in the hyperbolic time chamber. Cell arrives at the battlefield, ready to attain his final perfect form, it's all up to Piccolo now.

It all starts when Android 17 starts to fight Cell. He asks Piccolo who is he after piccolo saves his life. He says that his name is cell and that he is here to come and destroy you. Piccolo and Android 17 join teams and starts to fight together. Meanwhile Tien goes to see how strong cell is to piccolo and to see what they are up against and Krillin meets up with Bulma so it will be much easier and faster to shut down the androids. Gohan gets mad and what’s to help Piccolo but Goku tell him to stay there they are no good like that and that and said to hurry up Vegeta and Trunks. The episode ends when Chi-Chi says to hurry up Goku.

With Piccolo gone, Android 17 has no choice but to fight Cell on his own or so it seems, that is until Android 16 launches a silent complaint by pummelling Cell with a fury of fisticuffs. As the battle rages on, it is easily noticeable that Android 16 is just as strong as Cell. Knowing the fight is at a stalemate Cell uses a desperate attempt to absorb Android 16 into his being, but due to the way 16 was built Cell is unable to complete the Androids demise. Android 16 proceeds to rip off Cell tail, ensuring that the greedy monster could never absorb anyone ever again, but Cell has Piccolo's regenerative ability, and instantly regrows his deadly tail. Can the silent giant Android 16 defeat Cell, and if not who can, perhaps this fight will buy Vegeta and Trunks the precious time they need to complete their training in the hyperbolic time chamber.

The battle between Android 16 and Cell continue. Cell tries to counter-attack but falls short to 16's Inferno Flash. 16 warns 17 and 18 to quickly leave the battlefield. But before they could do so, Cell sneaks up behind 17 and quickly absorbs him. Cell has transformed, and his next task is to absorb 18 to become complete. Android 16 is no match for the second form of Cell, and is mortally wounded. Is there anyone left who can stop Cell from achieving perfection?

Cell has absorbed 17 but he still needs 18. Tien isn't about to let him get her, using up all his energy in a vicious attack while the androids escape to safety. Goku knows that Cell is far stronger than Tien, so he descends on the battlefield to help the mighty warrior recover. Whilst there he notices Piccolo is still alive, but he's hanging on barely by a thread. Goku uses his Instant Transmission to get back to Kami's lookout successfully, and Vegeta and Trunks finally emerge from the hyperbolic time chamber, but will their training be enough?

Goku asks Trunks about the training, but Vegeta doesn’t want him to say anything about it. Meanwhile, 18 questions 16 on his love for nature and asks if he even cares that Cell might absorb her and kill him. Then Bulma lands at Kami’s lookout. She gives Gohan, Goku, Trunks, and Vegeta a set of Saiyan armour. Tien and Piccolo refuse to wear the suits, claiming they do not want to wear the same clothes as the Saiyans. Vegeta then leaves to find and destroy Cell, while Trunks closely follows.

Anxious to find 18, the heartless Cell obliterates a chain of inhabited islands, with each explosion bringing him closer to the Android's hideout! But heading Cell's way is Vegeta! He's fresh from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and ready to test his new strength. Is Vegeta really stronger than a Super Saiyan, only time will tell?

It's show and tell for Vegeta as he demonstrates just how much difference a year of hard work can make! Watching from the sidelines, Trunks recalls the intense time he spent training with his father, and up in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the pressure falls on Gohan as he tries to become a Super Saiyan. That's no easy task, especially for a kid!

Goku and Gohan continue to push themselves forward, but will they even be needed? In his powered up state, Vegeta is quickly pounding Cell six feet into the ground! With his back against the wall, the ever-clever android attacks Vegeta's weakest point, his unbridled arrogance! Can the Saiyan Prince resist Cell's tempting challenge?

With the beautiful 18 in his sights, Krillin clutches the controller that will shut down the android forever. But at the moment of decision, Krillin hesitates! Cell looms just overhead, hungry for perfection. Can Krillin find the courage to do the right thing, or will his emotions cloud his judgement?

With the remote control smashed and Vegeta giving Cell the go ahead, the stage is set is for Cell's terrifying completion. Now it's up to Krillin and Trunks to save 18 from Cell's power-hungry grasp. But Vegeta isn't going to let Trunks ruin his plan! Will Trunks strike against his own father to save the earth from Cell? Or will Cell absorb 18 and complete his body? Also this the episode that we see young Gohan transform into a Super Saiyan.

Dr. Gero's dream has been realized, and the Earth's greatest fear has come about. Cell is complete! Can anyone stop the android nightmare in his final, perfect form? As the heroes nervously line up, a glimmer of hope shines from above. Gohan is now a Super Saiyan!

After allowing Cell to reach his final form, Vegeta is ready for the challenge he was promised. But as Cell becomes a brick wall to the Saiyan's every blow, it's clear that Vegeta has more than he bargained for!

Vegeta is clearly no match for Cell now he has powered up to his perfect form, and it seems Trunks will have no choice but to reveal his hidden ascended power, but just as it appears that Vegeta is losing consciousness he powers up for his ultimate move, the final flash. He launches it, and it proves very effective, Cell's right arm is completely destroyed. Vegeta begins laughing but his celebration is quickly cut short when he learns that Cell possesses Piccolo's regenerative ability. Cell resumes the fight and knocks Vegeta down as Trunks begins to power up.

Vegeta lies unconscious after an intense battle with Cell, and Trunks unleashes his hidden powers to save his father's life. With Goku and Gohan still training and the other fighters clearly out-leagued, Trunks is the only person standing in the evil android's way. Just how far can the young Saiyan's power go?

As apocalyptic visions haunt his mind, Trunks vows to stop his horrible future from repeating itself. But Cell remembers those dark days in a different light, and can't wait for history to follow its course. It's all up for grabs as the two warriors prepare for battle. Only one future will survive. Whose will it be?

Trunks quickly realizes that his Super Saiyan powers are no match for the mighty Cell. Trunks accepts defeat, only to be given a second chance when Cell proposes a tournament! Is Cell really interested in competition, or does he have a more sinister plan in mind.

Cell announces a World Martial Arts Tournament, called the "Cell Games," and if he wins he will destroy the Earth. The future of the Earth is at stake, but fortunately the Z Fighters have been training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but do they stand a chance against Cell in his perfect form?

Cell breaks into showbiz, literally! The sinister android hijacks a television station in order to announce his "Cell Games" to the world! But are there any challengers left with the strength and courage to get into the ring? Cell then demonstrates his destructive power by destroying part of the city, Yamcha and Krillin then decide it's time to start training again, while Vegeta takes off, with so little time left until the climactic battle, can our heroes devise a plan to defeat the sinister android, or will the fate of the world rest in Cell's hands?

All across the globe, the good citizens of Earth are in a panic as they flee their towns to escape Cell's looming vengeance. But hope is not lost! High above in the Lookout, Goku and Gohan emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. And after a quick trip to size up the competition, Goku feels that he's ready to take on Cell!

Goku takes a trip to see Korin to find out the wise cat's opinion on how he will fare against his battle with Cell. Despite the fact that Goku is told he suffer defeat, Goku does not seem at all bothered and claims that he discovered a secret while training in the hyperbolic time chamber. After returning home, Goku and Gohan begin to relax, instead of preparing for the upcoming tournament, Krillin joins the Super Saiyan duo, and all three take a look back at years ago. They all vow not to let anything change, while Cell begins tormenting the petrified people of Earth.

Chi Chi sends Gohan to a nearby village to pick up some groceries, once there he meets a girl named Lime whose parents were victims of Cell. Gohan promises her grandfather, that he will destroy Cell. Thieves break into the old man's shop demanding food for a nearby shelter, built to protect the townspeople from Cell. The old man confronts their boss, who calls General Tao to his aid. Realizing the old man cannot win the fight, Gohan steps in and Tao (having faced Gohan's father before) runs. Gohan is rewarded with his groceries and returns home to think about the more serious task ahead. Defeating Cell.

Goku and Gohan are in serious trouble when they break loads of cups and plates, just by picking them up, Chi Chi sends Goku and Krillin out of the house, and eventually allows Gohan to leave too. While searching around, Chi Chi comes across a photo album, both she and Goku have flashbacks of when Gohan was a child, and later on, the gang celebrate Gohan's eleventh birthday, but the Cell Games are approaching, and the last few peaceful days won't last long. Goku still seems confident about the upcoming battle, but, does he have a good reason to be.

With the day of the tournament drawing near, Goku seems oddly relaxed, that is until someone decides it's time to take the bull by the horns, rather than wait for the commencement of the Cell games, the military try one last ditch effort to destroy the destroyer, but unfortunately for them a swift upper hand has them all missing in action. The loss is too much to bare for Goku, but bringing them back would require, new dragon balls.

After returning to the lookout, Dende prepares to remodel the dragon balls, once the new set of magical spheres has been made, Dende reveals that the dragon balls can now grant two wishes instead of one. Goku descends upon the doom awaiting Earth, ready to gather the dragon balls once again.

General Tao, a Dragon Ball nemesis, has returned once again as a hired thief. This time in parts rather than a whole. It seems that the grenade didn't kill him but damaged some parts of his body. Basically his hands and eyes are now robotic. Goku is challenged to solve a puzzle before sun up to retrieve all the Dragon balls but if he doesn't they belong to Tao and some gangster. Goku solves it and uses Instant Transmission to transport himself to where the bad guys escaped, collects his prize and leaves.

This is the start of the Cell games.

Before Goku can fight Cell, Mr. Satan's students Caroni and Piroshike take upon themselves the task of defeating Cell, both are defeated with incredible ease, but Mr. Satan puts the blame of their defeat upon trickery, Mr. Satan is next to join the fray, but he too is tossed aside as if he were nothing, now Goku and Cell can begin their climactic battle to determine the fate of the world.

Hercule is up. Goku and Cell start fighting. Hercule gets surprised because Goku actually damaged Cell. Cell almost loses. Hercule can’t follow them. Krillin and Gohan’s eyes are moving fast. Krillin laughs. Goku and Cell are moving fast. Goku kicks Cell into the air and fires a Kamehameha at him. All that fighting was only a warm-up. Goku powers up.

Cell attacks Goku with a dazzling array of moves, the Destructo Disc, the Special Beam Cannon, even the Kamehameha Wave! But when Cell uses one of Frieza's techniques, King Kai becomes increasingly worried that if Cell can't beat Goku, he would do the same as Frieza and try to destroy the planet. So far, Goku has been able to match Cell blow for blow, but how will the Super Saiyan fare against such a lethal arsenal?

Cell is really fast. The place is rumbling. Vegeta’s mad. Goku starts losing. Goku hits Cell. He gets hurt really bad. The camera’s slow. Dende senses trouble. They put up a good fight. Cell blows up the ring. Now the whole desert is the ring. If Goku dies, he loses. They put so much power into the fight that big rocks break. King Kai acts silly. Goku powers up a huge Kamehameha. At first Krillin doesn’t think Goku would be that crazy but once he notices its power he thinks Goku is crazy. Goku uses his Instant Transmission to get right in front of Cell. He makes a direct hit. Cell is lying on the ground without a head and arms.

Yamcha and Tien think that Cell is dead and Goku won but Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin are still worried. The reporter also thinks that he won, so does Goku himself. But they soon find out Cell can regenerate himself. Goku and Cell's energy levels become lower, but they still continue to fight. They are almost equal as both continue to fight. Then, Goku starts being overpowered by Cell. They stop to rest and both realize their energy is running out, but Goku's is running out faster. Goku admits there needs to be a new hero and forfeits the fight.

Goku just ended the fight between him and Cell. Cell asks why he did it, and he says that he cannot win, but there is someone who can. Everyone wants to know who it is. Goku tells Gohan to come and fight Cell. Gohan does not want to fight. He thinks that Goku is stronger than him, and strong enough to beat Cell. Goku reminds his son about Gohan's hidden power. Gohan agrees to fight, but is still worried. Everyone watching thinks that Goku is crazy. They did not think about Gohan's hidden power, even Piccolo, who worked on releasing it ever since the fight with Raditz. Gohan began to fight Cell, and lost badly.

The fight between Gohan and Cell starts but Cell tries to end the fight early by sending Gohan flying into a pile of rocks. All the witnesses think he is dead, except for Goku. People start blaming Goku for letting it happen, but he can still feel his energy and has no worries. Then, in a burst of energy and light, Gohan appears, without a scratch on him. He tells Cell of his secret power and if he were to unleash it, he could destroy him. But, Cell is not worried when he Gohan tells him this, because he wants to unleash Gohan's power and have a real fight. Cell begins attacking Gohan again but he fails to get him to show his power, as he is afraid of destroying Cell.

Android 16 watched as Gohan was slowly being defeated. Cell suddenly put the "squeeze" on Gohan. Gohan struggled but could not get out. He was going to be destroyed. He didn't want to kill anyone, even Cell, so he wouldn't power up. Cell let go of Gohan. At that moment, Android 16 came up behind Cell and gave him a taste of his own medicine. Now it was Cell that was being squeezed. Android 16 said he was going to detonate the explosive that was inside him. It was strong enough to destroy Cell, and everything around him. He tried to detonate the bomb, but nothing happened. Krillin said that Bulma and Dr. Briefs had taken it out, and told the story of it. When he was done, Cell destroyed 16. Gohan was angry, but his power was still not showing itself. Then, before he began to fight, Cell counted the Z Warriors and made that many mini duplicates of himself, that were just as strong. Gohan and Cell began to fight.

The Cell Jr's ferociously attack the Z-fighters, while Gohan looks on helplessly as his friends and family are beaten and battered. Gohan is too afraid to handle Cell on his own, and won't let his anger control him. Cell orders his miniature blue warriors to kill Gohan's friends, which just sends Gohan's power spiralling upwards, but it's still not enough. Meanwhile, Android 16 seeks the help of Hercule so that he can have one final word with Gohan. Hercule grants his wish and throws android 16's head towards Gohan. Gohan, stunned that he is still alive, listens to his final words, "Drop your restraints, and protect the life I loved." Afterwards, Cell crushes Android 16's head and it's too much for the young super Saiyan to bare, Gohan begins to power up, and even Cell looks worried.

Just after Android 16 tells him to follow his instincts and not to suppress his feelings anymore Cell crushes the Android. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back, so to speak. This pushes Gohan to the limit and finally Gohan shows his true self..... And with it the unleashing begins! This is where you really find out why Goku in previous episodes acted so calm because he was the only person to know the true ability of his son. Cell tells him to let go so he can see Gohan’s true power and in the process underestimating how powerful he can become! Cell is holding a bag of senzu beans which Gohan snatches in the blink of an eye which leaves Cell guessing on how he did it. Gohan then goes on to defeat all of the Cell Juniors single handedly!

After defeating the amazingly powerful Cell Jr's, Gohan moves on to a more terrifying opponent, Cell. Despite being in control of the fight before, Cell struggles to keep up with Gohan after his awakening of power. It soon becomes obvious to the Z-fighters that Gohan is in a league of his own, and that Cell is going to lose. The perfected Cell won't accept that Gohan is stronger, but his every attack has no effect on Gohan. Gohan punches Cell twice, significantly damaging him. Gohan seems to be in full control of the battle, but has he won the war?

Cell uses every one of his stolen moves against Gohan, but none of them work, Gohan catches his Destructo Discs and deflects his special beam cannon as if it was a beach ball. Cell then uses his ultimate move, the Kamehameha wave, but Gohan sends a second wave straight back at him, causing a great deal of his body to disintegrate, but Cell quickly regenerates. Unable to beat Gohan at his present state, Cell bulks up his muscles, increasing his strength, but he has forgotten that this is the same mistake Trunks made, and though he may have the power to beat Gohan, he can't catch him. Gohan punches Cell, and he is violently sick, he coughs up the source of his power, Android 18.

After losing Android 18, Cell's body violently changes, into his previous, and less powerful form. Enraged at Gohan, Cell attacks him with all his might, but to his dismay, he can't land a finger on him. Gohan becomes incredibly overconfident, thinking there is no way the weakened tyrant can win, but, to Gohan's surprise Cell uses his last resort, self-destruction. It seems there is no way out for the Z-fighters, but at the last moment Goku nobly sacrifices himself to save his friends, and the Earth, from certain destruction. Transporting himself and Cell to King Kai's planet using his instant transmission technique, Goku foils Cells plan to blow up the Earth. It appears that once again the universe is safe, but no, Cell has survived, and the first man on his hit list, Trunks.

Trunks is on the brink of death, and it seems it is too late to save the valiant, young warrior. Gohan challenges Cell once again, but due to the Saiyan blood in Cell, his power has increased since their last battle. Vegeta has had enough, he may have let Cell get away with everything thus far, but taking the life of his son is just too much for the Saiyan prince to handle, he attacks Cell with everything he has, but Cell proves he is far too powerful to be stopped now. Just as Cell is about to finish Vegeta off, Gohan launches himself in front of the attack, saving Vegeta, but rendering his left arm useless. The final round has now come about, Gohan and Cell are ready to fire their Kamehameha waves and finish the war between good and evil.

After Cell's amazing, yet shocking return, he begins the fight with Gohan again. He is much stronger now, because of the Saiyan ability to gain power when recovered from a serious attack, and beats up Gohan. Cell gets very angry and says he will finish off everyone. He begins a Kamehameha attack, and tells the Z-fighters of how he is now complete without any flaws, he has achieved ultimate perfection. Gohan, only able to use his right arm, does nothing as he cannot defend himself against Cell anymore. Goku telepathically talks to Gohan, and talks him into using a Kamehameha attack with only his right arm. Gohan agrees, then begins to use all of his energy in a huge attack.

Gohan and Cell are about to start the final battle of the cell games. Gohan can only use one hand, but that's all he needs. The two fighters unleash huge Kamehameha’s and start the showdown. Goku helps his son, even though he is dead. He communicates to Gohan with King Kai's help. He knows that Gohan is holding back some of his power. "If you're still worried about the Earth, whatever damage you do to it can be repaired by the dragon balls!" Goku tells his son. Gohan unleashes more power. Cell, who is in his best health and stronger than ever (since he regenerated his whole body, which gave him more power), starts to gain the upper hand. Piccolo, who is nearby, wants to help Gohan. He separates from Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin and attacks Cell, but, it has no effect. Cell attacks Piccolo and he is knocked over and hurt badly. The others join Piccolo. Even with all of their attacks combined, Piccolo, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien cannot help out Gohan, and have been defeated. Gohan, who is worried about his friends, starts to slip even more. Goku tells him that they will be fine and to concentrate. Gohan evens out the match. But, he is still not strong enough in his weakened state. But then, a powerful blast hit's Cell. But who attacked? Everyone looks up, including Cell, and they see Vegeta. Cell, distracted and injured, loses his control. Gohan takes this opportunity to unleash everything he can. Cell is destroyed, right down to the last cell. Everyone celebrates. Now, to Kame's tower, so they can make their wishes.

Gohan has just defeated Cell, and he, Yamcha, Piccolo, Krillin, Android 18, Trunks, and Tien return to Kame's Tower. Dende is there with all of the dragon balls, and the group is ready to make their wishes (because Dende recreated the Dragon balls and the Eternal dragon, it could now grant two wishes instead of one). They first wish for all of Cell's victims to be revived. But, Goku did not come back. It would take a whole wish to revive him. But, they heard him from snake way. He said he wanted to stay at snake way. He told everyone that every time they were fighting somebody, like Cell or Frieza, they were always after Goku. He knew that the earth was much safer without him there, and that they could handle anything because of Gohan's new strength. They said goodbye to Goku, and remembered what they like the most about him, and then tried to decide what to do with their last wish.

Krillin uses the Z-fighters final wish to take the bomb out of Android 18, purely because that he has fallen in love with her. Gohan and the others descend from Kami's lookout, preparing to celebrate the newly restored peace, while Chi Chi tries to cope with the loss of her husband, Goku. Trunks says a final farewell to his parents and heads downstream through the mystical river of time. He then begins to concentrate on the serious tasks that await him upon arrival in the dreaded future that almost was. Meanwhile, Hercule begins to take all the undeserved glory for Cell's defeat, and it appears that only Gohan's family and friends know the actual truth, but Gohan doesn't seem at all bothered, he and the Ox-King are too busy sneaking away from Chi Chi. Along Snake Way, Goku and King Kai decide it's time for them to settle down and find a suitable place to live, so King Kai begins constructing their new home.

Trunks returns to the destroyed future to confront the two menacing androids. Once there he learns they are still destroying the unprotected towns and cities. Knowing he can defeat the ruthless pair after travelling through time and raising his power level significantly, Trunks sets off and arrives without a moment to spare. He quickly distracts Android 17, disabling him from destroying an old man whose son was another victim of the merciless machines. The androids appear confident, but Trunks quickly puts them in their place, and gains vengeance for his master Gohan by giving Android 18 a taste of her own medicine. Android 17 begins to realize his fate will soon reach the same outcome, and he too is destroyed. Trunks knows that despite the androids death, the threat is not over, there is another, Cell. Sure enough, Cell reveals himself and plans to take control of Trunks' time machine, but the young Super Saiyan is not about to stand by and let it happen. Trunks promises he will not let Goku down, and true to his word he annihilates every last cell of Cell. Meanwhile, up in the other world, Goku and King Kai prepare to take a trip to the Grand Kai's planet.

Goku and King Kai fly to the Grand Kai's palace. Goku is impressed and can't wait to meet him, but King Kai says that it is an absurd idea. Later trouble brews in HFIL and Goku takes it upon himself to quiet to rebellion. But upon a newly acquired friend's insistence, Goku is forced to take Pikkon along. But, well warning him of he's getting himself into. After all, Goku should know first-hand! He's fought them all to near brink of death [with the exclusion of Frieza's second return] and back [and sometimes dying]. Though, nevertheless, the strong fighter, Pikkon, accompanied by Goku, goes and beats up the Ginyu Force, Frieza, and Cell in HFIL with almost very little ease! Goku is amazed.

Grand Kai hosts a big tournament to celebrate North Kai's (King Kai) death. Goku races East Kai to earn a spot in the tourney. The First Round of the tournament is Goku vs. Caterpy. Caterpy has the match won (by tickling Goku), but then makes a mistake by starting a 1200 year transformation! Grand Kai didn't want to wait so he disqualified Caterpy.

The next round of the tournament is Goku vs. Arqua. Arqua transforms the ring to a pool of churning water. Arqua again has Goku beat in the underwater environment, but Goku uses Solar Flare, followed by a Kamehameha to win the match. Everyone was stunned.

Goku beats the Dino-Man in the Semi's before proceeding to Pikkon. Both fighters fight incredibly, destroying several moons and damaging each other a lot in this make believe space environment. Finally Goku declares that the warm-up is over. Pikkon responds by taking off his weighted clothing. Goku goes Super Saiyan.

The show starts off with Goku, who before this episode just transformed into a Super Saiyan, and Pikkon standing in the Other world tournament ring. Goku gets things started with his most famous attack the Kamehameha Wave which Pikkon dodges and starts a display of his speed. Then Pikkon traps Goku in his Hyper Tornado attack which takes Goku awhile to counter but he ends up escaping with a power display of energy. Then he revamps an old technique when he does the Super Kaioken which he then follows with another Kamehameha Wave! But don't underestimate Pikkon! He is a very powerful fighter. Pikkon goes head on with another one of Goku's energy beams, which Pikkon gets the better end of, kicking [*knocking?] Goku to the ground and almost out of the ring. Pikkon then says to Goku that he has "never fought someone as strong as Goku". Goku then replies, "That's because you are strong". He finds that "...tougher opponents always brings out the best in me." Pikkon then does his Thunder Flash attack 3x and by the third time Goku figures out the weakness in his attack. Goku then makes his move with the Instant Transmission and Kamehameha which knocks Pikkon out of the ring. Goku then wins the Otherworld Tournament... or does he? The Grand Kaio then tells Goku and Pikkon that they were both disqualified for touching the ceiling which means they were both out of the ring. The Grand Kai then says he will give both fighters a fighting lesson in about... 200 years! Then it comes that 4 years have passed on the Earth and Gohan is going to high school.

Before Gohan gets to school Gohan stops some local thugs thus turning into a Super Saiyan thinking no one will recognize him. When walking away after defeating the thugs he runs into Videl Hercules (Satan)'s daughter. He manages to getaway while an old man tells Videl what happened. When finally getting to school he finds out how fast things can go around the city for everyone in school is making a legend of him and calling him the golden fighter. Gohan has a hard time keeping his identity secret for Videl think (and of course is right about that it is him.). Then comes baseball in Gohan first day and he kinda shows his power. opps. Well then he finally gets though the day. Somehow.....

Gohan seeks the help of Bulma so he can keep his identity a secret, she creates a costume for him and Gohan decides to call himself the great Saiyaman. Later on, a bus is hijacked by a group of thugs, and when it drives off a cliff, it seems not even Videl can save the hostages, but Saiyaman lifts them to safety and then flies off. Now Videl is determined to find out the identity of Saiyaman.

Gohan is seen transforming into back from the saiyaman form, so he goes out on a date with her, so she won't tell anyone, and ends up rescuing Videl from a burning building (as saiyaman)

Videl picks a fight with the Red Shark Gang to rescue the town mayor, and Gohan goes to rescue her. Turns out though that she really didn't help at all!

Gohan rescues a baby dino very a circus, but Videl thinks he's stealing it, and confronts him! Gohan wants to avoid fighting her, and then the dino's parents come! Gohan gets cut, before beating the dad dino, then sending the pair home with the mother. Videl sees that Gohan has a cut in the same place, and puts 2 and 2 together to figure out that Gohan is Saiyaman. She says she will not tell if Gohan competes in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Her other condition was that he teach her to fly.

Goku communicates with Gohan on earth. He tells him he gained a one day pass to earth for his heroic efforts against Cell, so he will use it to participate in the Tournament. Vegeta, Krillin, Android 18, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks also choose to fight. Gohan is excited, but had doubts his mother will allow his entry. Upon returning home, Gohan thinks he is helping save a young woman from being robbed, not realizing it is a movie about his alter ego, the Great Saiyaman.

Gohan is training for the upcoming tournament with his brother Goten. When he gets a shock. Goten can turn into a Super Saiyan at 7 years old! However he can't fly!

With The World's Martial Arts Tournament fast approaching, Videl and Goten must learn to fly, and fast! Gohan reveals the secret to flying, and struggles to coach his two students into the air! Miles away, Vegeta is holding a training session of his own, and gets a big surprise from his young son, Trunks!

Everyone gathers at the tournament, and they wait for Goku, as they scope put the competition.

In this episode, the world tournament finally begins. But since Vegeta broke the punching machine, they had brought out another one. Then Goten and Trunks are in the exercise room where all junior contestants are. After they talked a little bit, this other boy with blonde hair comes up to Trunks and tells him that he was bragging, "hey wimp, you're going to be my first victim, this is going to be one of the quickest matches". Then Trunks answers back, "you better watch your mouth" and then everybody looks at him. Then HERCULE comes and everybody starts cheering because he saved the world, NOT. Then the announcer tells everyone that they finally did a re-enactment about the fight, and Hercule gets worried because he thought it was the actual fight, but it wasn't. It was just a few guys in costume and they did the story WAY wrong. But before the junior tournament, Gohan gets a little worried about missing the tournament because he didn't get to try the punch measurer yet, but Videl tells him that they could watch both of them at the final. Finally, Trunks is up with that bully while that guys mom who sits next to Bulma and Chi Chi and says out loud, “why did my camera have to break at my son's time of glory. But then that gets Bulma gets angry so she screams out to Trunks to kick that guys but. After the feud with the mothers, they start the fight and Trunks beats his weak opponent like nothing.

While The Great Saiyaman and Videl are in line waiting for the new punching machine to be fixed, a new challenger enters the ring 7 year old Goten. Almost as an amazing as trunks he quickly knocks the 14 year old kid out cold. Trunks and Goten easily battle their way to finals and sure enough we are going to have a half Saiyan champion of the junior division. As the championship begins between Goten and Trunks the punching machine finally is fixed but now they have to wait in line. The crowd chooses sides and you find out Hercule will have an “exhibition” match with the winner of the Junior champ. (What a great battle huh) Trunks and Goten bow and put in their two senses and the battle begins. Hercule recognizes the resemblance between Goten and Goku. The crowd is speech less as the two finalists seem stronger than most people in the Adult division. Gohan and Videl make it in time to miss no less than ten seconds. As the battle heats up the Z warriors are the only ones not able to speak. Trunks quickly shows an upper hand but any relative of Goku won’t give up.

Trunks wins the battle between him and Goten, Trunks only wins because he decides to cheat the rules the Z fighters set up for the tournament.

Hercule has his fight with Trunks, and Trunks beats him in one punch. Hercule makes up another lie, saying that he went easy on Trunks.

The tournament brackets are decided. It goes like this: Krillin vs. Pintar, Shin vs. Piccolo, Videl vs. Spopovitch, Gohan vs. Kibito, Hercule vs. 18, Goku vs. Vegeta, Mighty Mask vs. Killa, Jewel vs. Yamu.

The tournament begins. Krillin beats Pintar, and then Piccolo and Shin take the stage. Before even a punch is thrown, Piccolo gives up! Videl and Spopovitch enter the ring.

Videl Is a very good fighter, but Spopovitch has an enormous amount of vitality. Videl constantly knocks and thrashes Spopovitch to the ground but he just keeps getting up. Eventually Videl kicks Spopovitch in the head so hard it spins completely around and he falls lifeless to the ground. Or did he? Moments later he gets back up onto his feet, grabs his head and then spins it back to the way it was supposed to be. Eventually Videl gets so exhausted Spopovitch manages to hit her even though she is faster than him. Beaten and injured Videl flies into the sky and waits there to get her strength back....

Spoppovitch is still fighting Videl. Videl is still doing ok but Spoppovitch starts getting the upper hand. Blow after blow after blow Videl can't take anymore and starts to fly out of the ring. Just before she lands, Spoppovitch saves her! Just to beat her up. Gohan gets extremely mad and transforms to SSJ from anger instead of control and Goku has to hold him back. At last as Gohan brakes free, Yamu, Spoppovitch's partner tells Spoppovitch to stop and that they have more important business to attend to. Spoppovitch throws her out of the ring. Gohan picks her up and rushes her to the hospital and Goku goes to Korin's Tower to get senzu beans. Gohan delivers Videl to the hospital and Mr. Satan rushes to her side. Goku gets the senzu beans but there is only three.

Gohan races Videl to the hospital while Goku goes for senzu beans. He gets back and gives one to Videl. Gohan and Kibito go to the ring. Gohan begins to transform into a Super Saiyan.

Gohan powers up to his full strength, and prepares to fight the mysterious Kibito, but before Gohan can move, Yamu and Spopovitch drain Gohan of his power, while the Supreme Kai holds Gohan in place. The two energy thieves take off, and are closely followed by the Supreme Kai. Kibito tells Goku he will heal Gohan and catch up with them. Goku and the other Z-fighters abandon the long awaited tournament, and follow the Supreme Kai, to solve the mystery. The supreme kai then tells them of a wizard Bibidi who created a monster called Majin Buu. Majin Buu set about the complete destruction of the universe, Buu was then placed in a powerful ball of energy. Before Bibidi could release Buu, he was killed by the supreme kai, but he has a son who intends to resurrect Majin Buu, and continue his father's dream. Ultimate destruction.

They continue the journey to Babidi's ship. They land and see Spopovitch and Yamu get their heads blown off by the evil wizard.

Dabura comes and trashes the team on the cliff. He kills Kibito, then turns Krillin and Piccolo to stone, leaving Supreme Kai, Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta to fight. Dabura goes back to the ship, then they go in too.

Vegeta continues his fight against Pui Pui, and much to the surprise of the Supreme Kai, Vegeta is stronger in every way. Babidi tries desperately to give his fighter the advantage. By using his magic Babidi changes the landscape of his ship to Pui Pui's home planet, and there is ten times the amount of gravity there than on Earth. But still Pui Pui's efforts are proved useless as Vegeta makes quick work of him. Now the Z-fighters move on to level 2 to face the energy eating demon, Yakon.

Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan and overwhelms Yakon with excessive energy. He blows up and the fighters proceed to Stage Three, where Babadi's best fighter awaits them.

Hercule suggests a Battle Royal to decide on the tournament winner. 18 knocks out Jewel, and Mighty Mask floors Killah, then Mighty Mask and 18 go at it in a matter of ten seconds, while Hercule watches as he learns that defeating either of the two would be an impossible task.

When Mighty Mask transforms into a Super Saiyan, 18 learns that he is really Trunks and Goten in disguise. She throws an energy disc that breaks the two apart. Trunks and Goten are disqualified for being underage, and for fighting together.

18 makes a deal with Hercule. She lets him win, but in exchange he must give her the prize money and an additional 10 million zeni.

Dabura exits the concentration room, then goes to fight Gohan. During the fight, he realizes that Vegeta can be made to serve Babidi. Since Vegeta had much evil locked away in his heart from his dark past of being a ruthless Saiyan. Babidi uses this against him, and after a brief struggle Vegeta gets turned to Majin Vegeta.

Vegeta is now Majin, and Babidi transports them to the tournament. Hercule takes it as a challenge, but backs off. Vegeta destroys half of the stadium, then challenges Goku. Goku accepts.

Vegeta is fuelled with his new power. He mocks Goku, and claims he wants to fight him once and for all. When Goku refuses, Vegeta blasts at the crowd with a Ki Blast. Thousands of people are killed, leaving more energy for Majin Buu. Goku then realized that Vegeta will have to be stopped, and he tells Babidi to move the Z- Team somewhere uninhibited, so no one will be hurt. But, the Supreme Kai disagrees, and stands in front of Goku, trying to stop the fight. Goku only realizes that more people will be hurt by Majin Vegeta until he gets what he wants, so he begins to fire a Ki Blast at the Supreme Kai. The Supreme Kai steps to the side, and lets Vegeta and Goku do as they wish. Babidi moves them to the desert, and then, the Supreme Kai gets another idea. There is to be no stopping Majin Buu's birth, unless they leave for stage 4 now, so now, while Majin Vegeta and Goku fight, the Supreme Kai and Gohan will go on to stop Majin Buu, or, awake him before he is at full power. However, Babidi and Dabura need him at full power, so they open Stage 3 up, so the team can go even further into the ship.

Vegeta and Goku fight in a battle to determine who is the stronger. Vegeta, who is now pumped up as Majin, now matches Goku in power

The energy Goku lost in the fight is enough to bring Majin Buu back to life. Babidi transports the egg, himself, Dabura, Supreme Kai, and Gohan to the outside. Vegeta teaches Goku about humiliation. Gohan makes attempts to stop the egg from hatching.

Gohan's attempts to stop Buu from hatching are in vain. The egg hatches, much to Babidi's delight. However, the egg contained nothing! Only a pink blob of smoke! Babidi started crying at the mistake. Supreme Kai is once again confident, but the pink smoke in the air forms into a body. The smoke clears and Buu appears! He lands, and starts waddling around like an idiot. Supreme Kai tells Gohan that Buu is supposed to be this way. Buu stops, then just stands still and taps his foot impatiently, obviously waiting for his master, Bibidi. (Buu was locked up before Bibidi was destroyed, so Buu does not know of his master's death.)

Babidi threatens to lock up Buu if he doesn't obey him, so Buu joins Babidi. Babidi orders Gohan and Supreme Kai killed. Gohan tries to escape, but in vain. Buu knocks out Dabura, then gives chase. He knocks Gohan to the ground, leaving Supreme Kai vulnerable to Buu's assault. Vegeta knocks out Goku, and eats a Senzu Bean. He then goes to fight Buu.

The Supreme Kai takes on Majin Buu, but his mental techniques seem to have little to no effect on the pink Demon. Buu playfully enjoys himself by beating the tar out of the Supreme Kai.

Majin Buu continues to wind up Dabura, and every attack Dabura uses is proven useless against him. Buu finish playing around, and to satisfy his hunger he turns the king of demons, Dabura, into a cookie and devours him. Due to Dabura's death Krillin and Piccolo are turned from stone back to normal. Soon afterwards Vegeta arrives and destroys Babidi's ship. Frustrated, Babidi orders Majin Buu to kill Vegeta, but Vegeta will not go down without a fight.

Vegeta returns, and begins to beat the life out of Buu. Things are looking good, until Buu uses his own body to trap Vegeta. Trunks races to his father's rescue.

For the sake of his son and other loved ones, Vegeta chooses to sacrifice himself by using Final Flash to try to kill Buu. Trunks and Goten try to stop from doing so, and for their own good get knocked unconscious. Vegeta unleashes his full power, killing himself, and vanishing in an aura of light.

After Vegeta blew himself up and Buu, Piccolo checks out the battlefield while Krillin flies off with Goten and Trunks. Piccolo returns only to find a huge crater and Babidi alive, or at least what was left of him. Piccolo is just about to finish what he started when he notices some pink globs moving into each other and is shocked to find out they merge into one, regenerating Buu again! Vegeta killed himself in vain.

Bulma, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Chi Chi and Videl try to get the last dragon ball, but a dinosaur eats it. Yamcha blows the dinosaur into the water. Thanks to the quick thinking of Master Roshi they finally get the dragon ball.

Goku explains the art of fusion. They decide to teach it to Goten and Trunks. Bulma calls the dragon, and wishes for everyone that was killed by Vegeta to be revived. Goku sends the dragon away.

Kibito (who was revived by the Dragon) finds the Supreme Kai and Gohan. Goku delivers the news of Vegeta's and Gohan's deaths to everyone. Babidi gives a warning that if the three people that attacked him (Piccolo, Goten and Trunks) and Buu don't show in five days they will destroy the Earth. Then Buu turns a whole city to candy as proof of their power.

Babidi says that if Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo are not found, then in five days the earth will be destroyed. The World Martial Arts Tournament Owner goes to Babidi with the names of the people, but Babidi kills him. Piccolo wants to give himself in.

Babidi is still looking for Ma Junior (Piccolo), Goten, and Trunks. While in the Other World Gohan is training with the Supreme Kai and Kibito. He does something not even the Supreme Kai could do and pulls the legendary Z Sword from its resting place on the Supreme Kai's planet.

Goku starts to teach Goten and Trunks fusion, but as Babidi and Buu are about to blow up West City, and the dragon radar, Goku goes to distract them while Trunks goes to get the radar.

Goku tries to buy West City more time by giving Buu and Babidi a demonstration of what a Super Saiyan is. He powers down, then shows Buu a Super Saiyan. Buu is impressed. He then turns it up to an Ascended Super Saiyan. Buu is really interested now, but Babidi simply wants to get it over with. Back at the lookout, everyone thinks Goku is crazy if he thinks there is level past the "Ascended Saiyan". As expected Goku's limitations are exceeded and proves them wrong. He transforms into a Super Saiyan 3. Babidi and Buu are shocked. Goku then demonstrates his newly awakened power by attacking Buu.

The battle between Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Buu rages on. Trunks gets the radar, and then hurries back to the lookout. Goku eventually runs out of energy and is forced to stop the battle, he tells Buu he has way too much power to be controlled by a coward like Babidi. Buu is once again ordered around by Babidi, but this time he has had enough, he takes Goku's advice and kills Babidi. Now that he is out of the way, will Buu continue down the destructive path Babidi has set for him.

Goku, who used up all but thirty minutes of his earth time by fighting Buu, gets back to the lookout to teach Goten and Trunks the fusion dance. Although it looks silly the results are an unimaginable gain of power.

Buu builds a house out of people whom he changed to clay. Goku goes Super Saiyan 3 one last time to show Goten and Trunks that they too can reach this stage. He uses up the rest of his time on earth and the boys are left under a rigorous amount of training to perfect the fusion dance but with Piccolo as their instructor you can be sure they won't rest until they get it right.

Piccolo picks up where Goku left off and continues to teach Goten and Trunks fusion. Goku returns to the dead.

The Z sword breaks, but never fear, Old Kai is here! Old Kai sprouts out of the broken sword, and tries to bring out Gohan's latent powers

Goten and Trunks finally fuse, but something goes wrong! The newly formed fusion is fat! It won't work. They try it again, but he is too skinny! Then, finally, they try again, and it works! The super fighter introduces himself as Gotenks. Piccolo wants to wait another thirty minutes for them to unfuse, so that they can fuse as Super Saiyans. But Gotenks is confident that he can beat Buu. He flies off to try, but is beaten badly.

Buu threatens to kill Hercule, but makes him his servant. Old Kai finishes the first stage of bringing out Gohan's powers.

Buu heals a hurt puppy that he found and becomes his new friend. Buu proclaims that he won't kill ever again after he found out from Hercule that killing is wrong. But then two snipers come and shoot the puppy. Can Majin Buu keep his word?

Majin Buu swells up with anger after finding out his puppy has been shot, but Hercule takes out the injured dog's attackers, and Buu calms down. Seeking revenge, Van Zant shoots Hercule and a horrible conflict starts raging inside Majin Buu after he finds his only friend wounded. In a giant puff of steam the evil within Buu is released. After assuming physical form the Buu within Buu kills Van Zant.

Buu Fights the evil Buu to see who will win, but in the end, the good Buu shoots out a ray to turn the evil Buu into a cookie, but the evil Buu blew it back in his face and the good Buu turned into a cookie instead. The evil Buu eats the good Buu and gains his power to become a new Buu. Afterwards, he wants a good challenge and remembers being promised that he would have a good fight with Goten and Trunks, so he decides to pay them an early unexpected visit.

The new Majin Buu charges towards the lookout, demanding Piccolo to produce Gotenks. Piccolo refuses, claiming that the promise was for two days, not one. He suggests Majin Buu could amuse himself by hunting down the remaining survivors while waiting for this fight. Majin Buu quickly rules out this possibility by unleashing millions of Ki blasts, that destroy almost everyone on Earth. Piccolo tells Majin Buu that Gotenks can be ready within the hour, after Buu agrees, Goten and Trunks are rushed into the hyperbolic time chamber for final desperate training.

Buu becomes increasingly impatient, while Videl questions Piccolo's knowledge of Hercule's and Buu's friendship. Chi Chi aggravates Buu, causing him to turn her into an egg and crush her. Only half an hour passes before Majin Buu decides he will wait no longer, and Piccolo is forced to take the petrifying, pink monster, to the unprepared Gotenks. Piccolo takes the long way round to buy the young super Saiyans as much time as they can get.

Gotenks and Buu begin their rematch, and Gotenks demonstrates some new, bizarre techniques, none of them work, and Gotenks is forced to fight more seriously. After turning Super Saiyan, Gotenks powers up for his best technique, the super ghost kamikaze attack, he spits out what appears to be a small ghost like version of himself, but Majin Buu is not worried in the slightest.

Gotenks succeeds with his attack, or so it seems, after blasting Buu to microscopic pieces, it appears the monster has been destroyed, but no, there is still enough of him left to regenerate. Gotenks acts as if he has no power left so he can make his next move a surprise, but Piccolo blows up the door to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, trapping himself, Gotenks, and Majin Buu inside forever.

Buu is unable to accept the fact he is trapped forever and will never have candy again, so he screams with enough power to rip a dimensional hole, leaving Earth's best hope trapped inside, after escaping to the lookout, Majin Buu then turns all of Goku's friends into chocolate, and gobbles them up. While trapped inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Gotenks reveals his best trick yet, Super Saiyan 3! And as Majin Buu did before, Gotenks creates a tear in the dimension and returns to an empty, destroyed lookout.

Gotenks resumes his fight against the pink demon, but as a Super Saiyan 3. And yet again he displays a wide variety of bizarre and childish techniques, such as the "splitting headache", a powerful blast that can slice through anything. Buu then notices that Piccolo is concerned with the lookout, so he forms into a sphere shape, and destroys every last piece of it. Gotenks then powers up for his newest technique, the Spiking Buu Ball Slam. After pulling it off, it appears that the destructive Majin has met his demise, but the victory is short lived, as Buu reveals he is far from finished.

Gotenks fights Buu, and gets too cocky for his own good. He then starts pummelling Buu, bringing his power down. Just as he is about to finish Buu off, his Super Saiyan 3 power wears off, and every one of his attacks are now useless against Buu. Gotenks refuses to accept defeat, but his fusion time expires, and Goten and Trunks are forced to retreat. Back at the Supreme Kai planet, Gohan finishes his hidden ability training, and rushes to Earth to help the others.

Goten and Trunks desperately try to buy time for their next fusion, but Majin Buu falls asleep, making their job a whole lot easier. Piccolo then senses a radically strong power descending towards them, at first it looks like Goku, but as he gets closer Piccolo realizes who it is, Gohan. Gohan begins pummelling Buu with a series of powerful attacks. It seems the tables have turned on Buu yet again.

Buu reveals that his fight with Gotenks was a warm up match, as he could sense Gohan's powers growing in a far off place, he then self-destructs, but he isn't dead, during the time Buu is gone, Gohan and the others search for the remaining survivors on Earth. Dende, Hercule and Bee are all discovered, and Dende tells Piccolo of how Popo threw him off the lookout so that the Dragon balls could still be used to revive everyone, because without Dende, the balls would turn to stone, but the reunion doesn't last long as Buu returns, only one hour later. He then delivers a puzzling request, he wants a rematch with Gotenks, but it seems he has a plan, as the skin on his back begins to move.

Majin Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo. He then transforms into a larger and more powerful form, and Gohan's confidence is slowly chipped away, as Buu taunts him by telling him how disappointed his absorbed friends are. Gohan tries with all his might to overpower Buu with a bone crushing first round, but with the strength of Gotenks, and the mind of Piccolo, he is unstoppable.

Gohan continues his struggling battle against Buu, but after Buu unleashes his stolen new techniques against the powered up Saiyan, it seems that Gohan may not come through for Earth after all. Meanwhile on the Supreme Kai's planet, the elder kai reveals a plan to help Gohan defeat the universal giant of evil. He gives up his life so that Goku can return to the physical plain and fight, but even that may not be enough, the second phase of the old man's plan, Potara earrings, these enable fusion to take place, when one earring is placed upon someone’s left ear, and the other placed upon another's right, their bodies merge together to create an even more powerful force.

Goku watches helplessly from the Other World as Super Buu continues to beat on Gohan. Suddenly, Tien makes a surprise appearance. However, Buu realizes that Tien is a great deal weaker than Gohan and things don't look particularly brilliant. Meanwhile on the Planet of the Kais, Goku receives the Potara Earrings which will allow him and Gohan to fuse... permanently. With this new strategy, Goku races back to Earth to help his son.

After Super Buu absorbs Gohan the pink demon becomes even stronger. Goku's plan to fuse with his son is ruined. But an unexpected ally arrives... Vegeta. After some persuasion, the proud Saiyan prince agrees to fuse with Goku. When the fusion is complete, Vegito is born.

Vegito starts the fight over confident and begins testing his new abilities, and where Majin Buu was totally in control of the fight before, he can scarcely land a punch against his new challenger. Testing every aspect of his new body, Vegito warms himself up, without breaking a sweat. Vegito then raises the stakes by turning Super Saiyan, and the battle begins, Super Buu vs. Super Vegito.

Buu simply can’t beat Super Saiyan Vegito, so he digs deep into his well of power and tries to blow a hole through the universe. This would cause all life to end, as the universe would collapse. Vegito tries to beat Buu senseless so he can’t complete the attack, but Buu has a shield. Vegito keeps trying, and finally breaks through and nails Buu, stopping the attack. He then taunts Buu, telling him to use his ability on him.

Buu's every attempt to defeat Vegito, is completely useless, and Vegito no longer sees Buu as a challenge. Majin Buu hatches a plan, he uses Gotenks' Super Ghost Kamikaze attack, Gohan's Kamehameha wave, and Masenko all at the same time, but thanks to Goku's handy instant transmission technique, Vegito has not a scratch on him. Realizing he can't defeat Vegito, Buu says he thinks Vegito can't defeat him, that he is bluffing, once Vegito is close enough, Buu uses his favourite technique, and he turns Vegito into a coffee flavoured gobstopper. It seems that the Earth's last hope is gone.

Though in candy form, Vegito is still unstoppable, and it seems that Buu's attack has given his opponent the advantage and not him. Swelling with anger, Majin Buu has no choice but to turn Vegito back to his natural form. Vegito decides to end the fight, but a surprise absorption attack from the enraged Buu saves him from certain destruction. Buu laughs in victory and awaits his body to transform once again.

When Vegito is absorbed by Majin Buu, the fused Saiyan separates into Goku and Vegeta once again. Deep within the inner workings of the villain, they reveal their plan to rescue Gohan and the others. But can the duo survive the slimy perils of the digestive process and carry out their mission?

Goku and Vegeta enter the mind of Majin Buu and go their separate ways, they come across their fallen friends, or what they think are their friends. It soon becomes apparent that these warriors are though forms made by Buu, and it also seems they cannot be stopped, that is until Buu's thoughts shift to cakes. Meanwhile Dende and Hercule Goku and Vegeta then come across the real Z-fighters, sealed in pods, and that's not all they find, they also spot the original Buu, sealed in a pod like the rest. But how will they rescue their friends and escape Buu before he notices.

Buu realises that Goku and Vegeta have not been added to his power, and are causing him some internal trouble. While in Buu's head, Goku and Vegeta find their lost friends and family, and free them from the pods in which they were sealed. Buu isn't about to take this sitting down, he appears inside his own head, ready to battle the two warriors, but without the fusion Goku and Vegeta are powerless to stop Buu, after a tiring battle Vegeta is knocked unconscious and is approached by Buu's goo, Goku desperately tries to save Vegeta, but it seems the Saiyan prince will soon suffer the same fate as his son.

Goku fights Majin Buu and begins to lose. Buu is about to kill Goku when Vegeta awakens and rips down the good Buu from inside of the Super Buu. Super Buu's body violently changes once again. As Goku and Vegeta escape with Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, and Goten. They escape as Buu transforms into a smaller form of his original, evil self.

Kid Buu has been resurrected and his first act of evil is to destroy the majestic blue planet, Earth, wasting no time he quickly accumulates the energy needed to wipe the planet from existence. However at the last second Goku escapes with the aid of "Instant Transmission", rescuing Vegeta, Dende and Mr. Satan. Reluctantly, Goku is forced to depart without his sons. Contemplating the loss, Goku and Vegeta renew battle plans against the pink rubber demon of destruction Majin Buu, while something begins to stir among the Earth's rubble.

In the rubble of the destroyed Earth, Kid Buu reforms and goes seeking high energy levels which must be the two Saiyans. He eventually finds his way to Grand Kai's planet and kicks around Krillin, Yamcha, Olibu, and Pikkon. Kibitokai offers Goku his Potara Earrings so they can fuse again, but Goku refuses, saying true Saiyans fight alone. Before anyone can object, Vegeta smashes another earring. The two power up and just as Kid Buu was going to blow up Grand Kai's world, he teleports to Supreme Kai's to fight the Saiyans.

Goku starts out the fight with Kid Buu as a regular Super Saiyan and they begin obliterating the landscape. Dende, Old Kai, and Kibitokai teleport to another planet to watch the fight through the crystal ball, accidentally leaving behind Hercule, who jumped off a cliff believing he was dreaming, and Bee who went looking for him. Goku and Kid Buu bounce around for a while and then Goku powers up to Super Saiyan 3.

Goku fights with Kid Buu as a Super Saiyan 3 and is doing quite well, though it raises the question how he plans to kill a putty-like baddie. Vegeta watches the fight with admiration and begins a flashback to his entire history with Goku, beginning in the Saiyan Saga and going all the way up to the point where Vegeta blew himself up to defeat Buu. Down in Hell, Frieza and the other villains are watching and Babidi takes the credit for Buu being so strong, though he secretly wishes for Buu to lose. Goku realizes at the end of the fight that he doesn't have the energy to beat Buu and he'll need Vegeta to run interference while he builds it up.

While Goku gathers energy for an attack he hopes will defeat Majin Buu once and for all, Vegeta fights and gets slapped around like nobody's business. He gets knocked down time and time again, but keeps getting up and re-entering the battle. Buu is eventually quite scared at how well Vegeta is fighting, but gets the Saiyan into a head lock and begins squeezing, bringing him closer and closer to death while all Goku can do is watch.

Just as Vegeta's head is about to pop off, Kid Buu gets kicked aside. Hercule has joined in and is trying to defeat the "wimpy" Kid Buu. Every time Kid Buu goes to hit Hercule, he misses or holds back. Old Buu is still inside him and he can't hurt his friend. Finally Kid Buu gets mad and spits out the Old Buu onto the ground, where he lies unconscious. With nothing to stop him and Hercule knocked aside he goes after Goku again, but Vegeta rejoins the fight until Old Buu gets up.

Vegeta calls for Old Kai, Dende and Kibito Kai, and asks them to go to the new planet Namek to summon Porunga. Once there they meet Elder Mori, who has already gathered the Namekian Dragon balls. They wish for the Earth to come back and for everybody who was killed since the morning of the martial arts tournament to be brought back as well. Vegeta then informs Goku, of his master plan, the spirit bomb. Goku seems uncertain, but then again it may just be the universe's last hope.

Vegeta calls the people of Earth to try and get them to give energy and only the Z Fighters and friends thereof give energy. Characters such as Bora, Upa, Giran, Nam, Launch, Android 8 (Eighter), Snow, The Mummy, Spike, and others from Dragon Ball in this and the next episode. Very little energy is given and Old Buu can't hold out much longer against Kid Buu.

When Vegeta is unable to get the people of Earth to give their energy, the team begins despairing. Old Buu gets knocked out and Vegeta is forced to return to the battle. Goku begins pleading with the people of Earth, but they refuse to listen. Only a few others give any energy. Finally, Hercule steps up and yells at the Earthlings to raise their hands and Majin Buu will be destroyed.

Kid Buu whomps on Vegeta more and beats him into a pulp and then sits down on top of him, giving Goku the ultimatum that if he destroys Buu, he kills Vegeta. Old Buu jumps in and knocks Kid Buu back, then yells for Hercule to grab Vegeta and get him out of the way. He does and Goku throws the Spirit Bomb, but it's just not enough. Vegeta yells at Dende to wish Goku back to full strength and he goes Super Saiyan and kills Kid Buu with the Spirit Bomb.

After Kid Buu is killed, Goku, Vegeta, Hercule, Dende, and Good Buu all return to Earth. Six months later Goku and the others wish for the Earthling's memory of Majin Buu to be erased and he's free to go get into all sorts of shenanigans out in the city. He wins a fight and gets money for ice cream and then helps Bulma carry her grocery bags home. Majin Buu and Bulma thwart a jewellery store heist who are really the guys he "accidentally" beat up the first time. Saiyaman and Saiyagirl, his new sidekick/girlfriend, arrive just in time (too late). Later, Goku, Trunks, and Goten are in the hot tub and the boys fuse and attack Super Saiyan Goku in a playful fight. The tub breaks and the two are left standing in front of their friends naked and Goku laughs while Chichi runs after Gotenks to spank him just like in the good old days.

Chi-Chi, Gohan, and Goten prepare to go to Bulma's house for a barbeque, but Goku is nowhere to be found. As Chi-Chi's anger rises, Goku is having troubles of his own. While waiting to witness the hatching of four dragon eggs, troubles arise casting him into the role of the egg protector. Goku must do his best to guard the fragile eggs not knowing that he will soon face another danger, an angry Chi-Chi!

Ten years have passed since the evil Majin Buu was destroyed, and the Earth is enjoying a time of peace! Gohan has become a scholar and is happily married to Videl. Trunks and Goten have become strong, young teenagers! Vegeta and Bulma have a new daughter named Bulla! And, oh yes! Goku's a grandfather!

Goku has Mr. Buu magically rig the drawings so he can fight Uub in the first round of the World Martial Arts Tournament. Uub, a ten year-old human boy, is the reborn, pure good, form of Kid Buu! But before Goku can for fill his request Pan must first face off against Wild Tiger in her first match. See the irony? Only at the tender age of 4 she has already learned martial arts and the ability to fly! Watch out Goten and Trunks as there may be a new Super Saiyan! Although Pan's childish attitude is deceiving (Number One! Number One! Yay!) she wallops the oversized competitor to the ground with ease and with more than I could bear cartoonish graphics (the chin of Wild Tiger's shooting sparks off as he slides across the match floor and the peeling off a wall like a flatten pancake! Just because this is the second to last episode doesn't mean we don't deserve quality!). Goku finally faces Uub. After Goku realizes Uub is very nervous he decides to loosen him up by making him angry through the use of insults and calling his family names, something you don't want to do to a former Majin Buu!

Uub, growing stronger as the battle rages, is able to learn to fight during his match with Goku, soon becoming the Saiyan's equal! Neither warrior gives an inch in this fast paced, destructive battle. But before the match is decided, Goku makes a startling offer to Uub.
