Ruler
• A ruler, is an instrument used in geometry, technical drawing, printing, engineering and building to measure distances or to rule straight lines.
T - Square• T-square is a
technical drawing instrument used by draftsmen primarily as a guide for drawing horizontal lines on a drafting table. It may also guide a set square to draw vertical or diagonal lines.
Compass
• Compass is a technical drawing instrument that can be used for inscribing circles or arcs. also guide a set square to draw vertical or diagonal lines.
Triangle
• A thin, flat, right-angled piece of plastic or metal with acute angles of 45, or 30 and 60 used for drawing vertical or inclined lines that are multiples of 15
Protractor• A protractor is a
measuring instrument, typically made of transparent plastic or glass, for measuring angles. Most protractors measure angles in degrees (°)
French or Irregular Curve
• A French curve is a template usually made out of metal, wood or plastic composed of many different curves.
Erasing Shield
• A metal plate with various slots and openings used to protect line work when a portion of the drawing is to be erased
Pencil
• Drawing pencils are used for marking and sketching. The lead of pencil is made of graphite, clay, and wax. The clay makes the lead hard.
Technical Pen
• A technical pen is a specialized instrument used by an engineer, architect, or drafter to make lines of constant width for architectural, engineering, or technical drawings.
Drawing Paper
• The drawing paper that is commonly used in drafting is the Oslo paper or Bond Paper.
Watercolor
• Watercolor is composed of pigment and mucilage, a gummy substance from various plants. They are bought either in kits or in separate containers.
Colored Pencil• A colored pencil is an art
medium constructed of a narrow, pigmented core encased in a wooden cylindrical case. Unlike pencils, colored pencils’ cores are wax- or oil-based and contain varying proportions of pigments, additives, and binding agents.

• Pencils should be sharpen whenever they show signs of dullness
• Never use the edge of T-square, ruler, protractor, and triangles to cut paper along its working edge.

• Wipe off the surface and edges of your T-square, ruler, protractor, and triangles before and after using them.
• Avoid dropping your compass and technical pens.
• Wash the tips of your compass after using them.
