The Board of Directors of Cross Church recommends Dr. Nick Floyd to be the Senior Pastor of Cross Church. In accordance to the

bylaws, we are calling a special meeting of our church for Sunday April 28, 2019. A vote will be held on each of the

Cross Church campuses at each of our services.

I believe God placed a man here years ago that demonstrates and exhibits growth in the leadership and pastoral skills needed to continue Cross Church along our mission path, to reach Northwest Arkansas, America,

and the world for Jesus Christ. I believe that man is Dr. Nick Floyd. I affirm, in total, the recommendation of Dr. Nick Floyd as Senior Pastor of Cross Church.

BOB MCCASLINI believe God placed Nick Floyd in Cross Church for such a purpose as this. From Shiloh ChristianSchool to seminary, to starting a campus on Wedington, Nick has allowed God to use him inmighty ways. Nick knows the culture of Cross Church and lives out our commitment to share the gospel with Northwest Arkansas, America, and the world. I believe no one is more qualified and prepared to take the helm of Cross Church than Dr. Nick Floyd.

ANDY WILSONJust over 10 years ago, Becky and I met with Nick and Meredith Floyd. Nick was a young ministry staff member at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas at the time. He and Meredith were in NWA to interview for a job opportunity at Cross Church on the Springdale Campus. Through the years, his passion for the gospel expanded along with his personal qualities of honesty, delegation, communication, commitment, creativity, and innovation development with his own personal uniqueness of leading

people. As he put the vision for the Fayetteville Campus in place, not one challenge, setback, or problem kept Nick from completing the mission. It’s my pleasure to recommend Dr. Nick Floyd as Senior Pastor of Cross Church Northwest Arkansas.

TED SCHNEIDERThirty-three years ago, First Baptist Church of Springdale selected five men as a search committeeto find a prospective pastor for our church. These five men made a covenant that they would not recommend anyone unless it was a unanimous decision. That man was Ronnie Floyd. Now 33 years later, we are looking at somebody to follow Pastor Ronnie. Nick loves this church and above all else, Nick has been faithful to his Lord. He is qualified and capable of leading Cross Church into

DONNIE SMITHI have watched Nick grow and mature as a leader since teaching him in the youth ministry. As evidenced by his resume, God has been preparing Nick for this role. I have no doubt thatNick is the leader God has chosen to lead our great church into the future. Nick is humble and atthe same time confident — confident in God, that He will guide him to lead our fellowship. Nick isboth culturally and generationally relevant. This should serve him well as he leads our church as

the boomer generation gives way to the millennial generation as our nation’s largest demographic population.

JERRY WALTONI have seen Nick’s academic career move from Shiloh Christian School to Liberty University to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and finally to Liberty University School of Divinity where he obtained his doctorate. Nick is qualified to become our Senior Pastor for the following reasons: He excels in the pulpit; he planted the church in Fayetteville; he led all aspects of planning, construction, and fund-raising. Since the Fayetteville Campus inception, we’ve seen consistent weekly attendance

of 2,500-3,000 people. Dr. Nick Floyd is a proven leader capable of leading Cross Church into the future.

Even with his increased responsibilities here and receiving recognition of his accomplishments nationally, he still leads with humility. His love for the gospel and evangelism unites all generations. Nick loves people and people love Nick. He connects the best of our past and present with the unlimited future God has for Cross Church. God is raising Nick up for such a time as this. When I think of Nick in his life today, I think

of these words found in James 4:10, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.”
