clients who are experiencing psychological problems and have addiction issues

Psychological Interventions• For instance: Cognitive Behavioural

Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy

• alongside Motivational Interviewing techniques, the trans-theoretical model and for example, Community Reinforcement Approach

Main presenting issues

• Our work therefore falls into the complex co-morbidity arena

• Trauma (PTSD and complex trauma) as main presenting issue

• also chronic depression, complex anxiety disorders, anger issues, personality difficulties and inter-personal difficulties

• Common theme of high complexity

Non-clinical interventions

• Develop psychological ways of working in all addiction teams

• Undertake training and consultation in the Treatment Process Model

• Role in meeting the workforce development needs of the addiction teams
