James was 14 years old when he first came to LDCC. Years of poor oral hygiene had left his teeth discolored from excessive decay and he was left feeling shy, embarrassed and unable to focus on his classes at high school. Over the course of his treatment, our staff took the time to get to know James and both discussed the importance of proper oral hygiene and also encouraged his plans for the future and his dream to attend college. LDCC helped restore James’ smile and his confidence. Now attending college, he attributes his success at school in part due to his restored oral health but also the encouragement he received as an LDCC patient. To this day, he remains in touch, sharing his continued achievements and gratitude with our staff.
