Tech XiXHow about them Dawgs! Tech XIX is the mascot of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and patrols the Joe Aillet Stadium sidelines each Saturday night during the fall.
spiriT of ’88An icon at Joe Aillet Stadium, the Spirit of ’88 is a bronze Bulldog statue in the south endzone of the stadium that commemorates the blood, sweat and tears of the 1988 Louisiana Tech team that blazed the path into Division I-A football. As a salute to that 1988 team, every Louisiana Tech player and coach touches the Spirit of ’88 upon entrance onto the field prior to every home game.
Band of prideLed by one of the all-time great band directors in Jim Robken, Louisiana Tech’s Band of Pride brings the true sound of college football to Ruston with pre-game, halftime and post-game performances.
TaiLgaTingOver the last decade, tailgating on game days at Joe Aillet Stadium has become the thing to do as Bulldog fans donned in blue start firing up the grills in preparation for kickoff. Bar-B-Q cook-offs, face painting, Tailgate Alley, the Kids Zone and all-around family fun exists for Bulldog fans of all ages.
The BLueLouisiana Tech’s super-rabid student organization that paint themselves blue from head to toe on game day helping make Joe Aillet Stadium a tough place for visitors to play.

Louisiana Tech’s football program has experi-enced numerous highs during the course of its 100-plus year history, claiming 22 conference titles, numerous bowl berths and a plethora of All-Americans and NFL players.
From the very first win in the program’s history (a 6-0 victory over LSU in 1904) to winning the 2001 Western Athletic Conference title in the first year as a member of the league, Louisiana Tech football has always made its fans proud.
And since making the move from I-AA to I-A in 1989, Louisiana Tech has proven time after time it belongs among the big boys of college football defeating the likes of Alabama (twice), Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State and California in the last decade.
From big wins to great performances to spectacular plays, Louisiana Tech football has always shown the heart of a champion.
RYANMOATS rushed for over 200 yards and four touchdowns to lead Louisiana Tech to a 28-21 win over 17th ranked Fresno State in 2004.
