COMPASS Yesterday at interviews or today, Compass introduction letters including log ins and passwords have been distributed for parents. Compass is officially live from next term to lodge attendance details but you can go on now and make your password your own and have a look at the program. Please read your letter carefully and note the details. Compass is available on computer, tablet and phone apps, however, you can only change your password on a computer. If you misplace your password the office can reset it for you. We are very excited about the launch of our new program that will be of great assistance to families. If you have any issues please come and see the office for some assistance. Please remember that families who don’t have access to the internet will continue to be supported by the office. New Absence Requirements If a student is marked absent at the beginning of the day, and the absence is unexplained, parents will be notified via Compass to ensure all parents are aware of possible absences. If you child is absent you must log on to Compass and explain the absence or ring the office. Again, if you don’t have internet facilities please continue to call the office. SPT – Student/Parent/Teacher Interviews and Reports Thank you to all students and parents for their attendance at interviews. These opportunities are vital for ensuring we work together to set goals creating student improvement. Our new report format has been well received. If you would like to pass on any comments about the new format please email the school email and it will be directed to the leadership team. Prep enrolments We have had a number of enrolments come in this week before the holidays. The Knox Network requests parents to enrol by the end of this term to facilitate planning for 2019. Our planning is well underway. If you have a prep for 2019 or know of one please see the office for an enrolment form. Transition will be held in fourth term and we look forward to a great program in readiness for 2019.

Gully View CALLING ALL ARTISTS: We have table tops at the enviro centre in need of being decorated/painted. We would love them to reflect our school and it’s love of animals and plants. Draw your idea on a piece of A4 paper and submit it to Mrs. Collins at the LOTE room by the 27th of July for the opportunity to paint one of the tables with your design. The design judged as the most interesting design will win JELLY BEANS!!! Why not design it with your family over the holidays or with your friends? ___________________________________________________________________________________________
ENVIRO NEWS
Grade 1/2 are on duty next term and will be harvesting and planting in our vegetable gardens.
Thank you to our Chicken Carers. Many thanks to Cordell, Sarah and Ethan for taking on the role of organising students to safely and respectfully visit the chickens on Wednesdays. A special thank you to Jacinta and Luna for stepping in to help when needed, the students really appreciated it.
Grade 3/4 have enjoyed the Enviro Centre this term. The broad beans are flourishing and the lettuce is looking good. Fingers crossed our carrots and beetroot will grow as then we will have the makings of a beautiful salad. 3/4 D taste tested the Tamarillos as fruit and as chutney with most students enjoying the taste of both.
