Mentoring practice, she is also an advisor to the

Jean-Christophe Gaillard is the Founder and

of experience developed in several global financial
institutions in the UK and continental Europe,
and a track-record at driving fundamental change
in the Security field across global organisations,
looking beyond the technical horizon into strategy,

A French national permanently established in the
UK since 1993, he holds an Engineering Degree from Telecom Paris Tech

Adrian has been with the DfE for four years
driving transformation and pace within the
technology function.
Adrian could bring to bear his commercial and
working at pace experience to the Public sector.
This experience came from the private sector
where Adrian had been a career retailer working
for companies such as Arcadia, Boots and in
the telco sector, again in their retail functions at
T-Mobile (EE) and Vodafone.
Adrian has breadth of knowledge from both operations view point as well as a
technical one. He oversaw some large-scale projects in time an example being
such the rebranding 1200 Alliance Pharmacy stores into Boots within 18
months. Adrian was listed in the CIO100 for 2017.
From Trailing Edge to Leading EdgeThis session explores the transformation programme has delivered the total
modernisation of the entire technology stack within the Department for
Education (DfE) with a mantra of going from “trailing edge to leading edge”
within a 18 month window. This has been delivered through a strong IT brand
identity and a energised team, organised into a cohesive and responsive
technical areas. The programme has seen a total transformation all aspects
of the DfE’s technology, landing a ten-year shift in capability and delivering
a cloud first enterprise, Windows 10 and Office 365. It will also significantly
reduce the technology’s stack technical debt to under 20%, which in turn will
enable the department to re-engineer its business processes, fully embrace
digital processes and deliver efficient and connected services to the Education
sector in England.
