Theme: Club Sports Club sports are opportunities for students to compete in a casual setting and supported through Campus Recreation. Organization Name: Badminton Club Description: The W&M Badminton Club provides a space for both competitive and casual players to play badminton on indoor courts. We provide high quality rackets and feathered birdies, though those with their own rackets are encouraged to bring them. Description: The W&M Ballroom Dance Club offers free beginner dance lessons open to any interested students,
including popular dances such as waltz, tango, cha-cha, swing, and more. We hold social practices several nights a week,
which give the opportunity to de-stress and practice with friends in a relaxed, fun environment. We also attend multiple
competitions a year, which are open to any interested members. Ballroom Club welcomes all new members; no
experience or partner necessary. Dancing is a great opportunity to relax, meet new friends, and get a little exercise in,

Description: The Brazilian Jiu-jitsu club is for any students who are interested in grappling. Students learn self-defense

Organization Name: Club Ice Hockey
Description: The Tribe Ice Hockey Team at the College of William & Mary is a Division III member of the American
Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and plays in the Atlantic Division of the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference (BRHC).
Founded in 1987 and organized under the College’s Sports Club Program, the team competes with schools in the Mid-
Atlantic region from Maryland to North Carolina and all across Virginia. Tribe Hockey won the BRHC league
championship in 2011 after an undefeated season.

Description: Club Rock climbing is a student organization with the goal of teaching people how to rock climb and get
students involved in the climbing community. We host trips to indoor gyms, competitions, and outdoor walls to give

Organization Name: Club Rowing
Description: The William & Mary Rowing Club is a club sports team. We have both men's and women's novice and
varsity teams. The novice team is welcome to those who have no experience with the sport whatsoever and the varsity
team is for those with high school experience and those who complete their novice year. We are the only rowing team
at William & Mary so we compete at least 4 times a semester against many other schools across the country. We
practice 5 days a week either in the morning or afternoon depending on your squad's schedule. We have a very
welcoming team atmosphere and have a lot of great team bonding traditions off the water as well.

Description: Tribe sailing is a student run sports club that sails on the James River 15 mins from campus! Our team
competes in regattas almost every week and we teach beginners to sail. We take people of all skill levels, and we
encourage anyone with an interest to be out on the water to join our family!

Organization Name: Club Softball
Description: William and Mary Club Softball is a student organized softball team that competes against other schools in
our area. We are an all-girls team (but we welcome guys to coach!) that plays in fast pitch tournaments and double
headers and, on a more casual level, fields a few intramural teams. Most of our players have played softball in high
school. We are a competitive team, so we do request some fast pitch experience. We do not hold tryouts. We always try
to evenly distribute playing time, while at the same time playing to win. We are very excited to announce that we have
joined the National Club Softball Association in the Mid-Atlantic - South conference starting Fall 2015.
Our top priority is to enjoy ourselves and each other's company, but we also try to perform our best on the field. We
have social events outside of practices and games, such as cookouts, team dinners, and Secret Santas at Christmas.

Description: The Squash Club aims to foster a competitive and healthy environment for students to become involved
with and learn about the game of squash. Both men and women of any level of experience are welcome to join. We aim
to promote a love for the game, opportunity for exercise and competition, and team camaraderie. At the beginning of
each season, the top 10 players will be selected to be members of the traveling team. All members that are not on the
traveling team will be recreational members. Recreational Members can attend practices for a reduced membership fee
and purchase club merchandise, but do not have the option of going to a competition.

Organization Name: Equestrian Club
Description: William & Mary Equestrian Club, coached by Karen Greenwood, consists of club riders and members of the
W&M Equestrian Team. A sport club at The College of William & Mary, members ride under the instruction of Coach
Greenwood once a week at the beautiful Willow Pond Farm in Toano, a short drive from campus. Equestrian Team
members additionally compete against other colleges on weekends through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association

Description: William and Mary Quidditch is a sports club that travels to other colleges on the east coast. The sport itself
is about a decade old and is the fastest growing sport in the world! You can think of it as a mix between rugby, flag

Description: The oldest Sport Club at William & Mary, Fencing is the eleven consecutive year winner of the Virginia Cup-
the highest intercollegiate state title amongst fencing sport clubs. Fencing was previously a varsity sport but lost its
status when the college became public. Today, the club maintains varsity-level competitiveness at a sport club scale,
fencing other sport clubs in the Mid-Atlantic region and competing in the USACFC nationals, where William & Mary
recently won a national title when Jack Maes '17 placed first in men's épée individuals. The Sport club is open to both
those with and without prior fencing experience.

Throughout the year, the HCC holds student panels so that upperclassmen can speak about worthwhile experiences

a gap year, doing research, preparing for the MCAT, etc... The HCC is also launching a new Pre-med mentoring program

Description: Haasya is a newly formed dance team at The College of William & Mary that blends the various styles of
traditional South Asian dance with modern performance elements. They combine forms of Classical Hindu dance - the

Description: Improv Club is the only club on campus where you can play improv games without the added pressure of

Description: Shakespeare in the Dark (or SitD) is a student run campus organization devoted to promoting interest in
classical theatre, specifically the works of William Shakespeare. We accomplish this primarily through performances,
averaging three productions every academic year. Productions are voted on by the club membership, and are not
limited to Shakespeare plays: we range from other classical works (Aristophanes' Lysistrata), to parodies such as
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead - the popular play by Tom Stoppard. All productions are completely student-run.

Description: The Christopher Wren Singers are the College of William and Mary’s oldest student-run a cappella group,

Description: The William & Mary Women's Chorus is an undergraduate, female ensemble at the College of William &
Mary. Formed in 1923, the ensemble consists of around 45 undergraduates from different backgrounds, concentrations,
