STIR WELL BEFORE USERustins Anti-Condensation Paint isbased on a water-borne, non-yellowing type acrylic resin. It is foruse on interior walls and ceilings,i.e. particularly under hot, humidconditions as commonly found inbathrooms and kitchens, where itsthermal insulation properties reducecondensation.PreparationEnsure surfaces are clean and free fromgrease and contamination. Remove mould orfungal and treat with a suitable fungicidalsolution. Allow freshly plastered walls atleast 2 weeks to dry before use. Poroussurfaces will require sealing with a coat ofRustins Quick Dry Primer & Undercoat andallowed to dry before applying Rustins Anti-Condensation Paint.
ApplicationCarefully break surface crust and stir wellinto the body of the paint. This crust isnormal and is the basis of the thermalinsulation technology of this product. Applyliberally with a synthetic-type bristle brush.One coat is sufficient but two coats willprovide improved performance. Do not applyat temperatures below 10OC or in conditionsof high humidity.
Re-coating TimeThis paint will be touch dry in approximately 30 minutes, depending onhumidity and temperature, (min. application
temp. 10OC), and can be re-coated, or a topcoat of emulsion paint or non-vinyl wallpapermay be applied after a minimum of fourhours.
Coverage1 litre will cover approximately 7 sq.m in 1 coatdepending on the absorbency of the surface.
CleaningRemove as much paint as possible frombrushes and return it to the originalcontainer. Clean brushes immediately withwater. If the brushes become hard, they maybe cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer orRustins Cellulose Thinners.
Disposal (pollution prevention)Some local authorities have special facilities fordisposal of waste paints/varnishes /coatings. Donot empty product into drains or watercourses.
StorageStore in a cool dry place with the lid tightlyclosed. Protect from frost.
HEALTH AND SAFETY Contains texanol, a mixture of: 5-chloro-2-methyl-2h-isothiazol-3-one [ec no 247-500-7] and 2-methyl-2h-isothiazol-3-o.May produce an allergic reaction. Causesskin irritation. May cause an allergic skinreaction. Causes serious eye irritation. Wash handsthoroughly after handling. Wear protective gloves. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for severalminutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy todo. Continue rinsing. If skin irritation occurs: Get medicaladvice/attention. Take off contaminated clothing and washbefore reuse. IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTRE ordoctor if you feel unwell.
