The USC Village is the flagship residential community
for USC undergraduates, combining academic, student
housing, recreational, and retail space to create a
fully integrated living and learning community. USC
has committed to goals in the building of the project
that include 30% local worker participation, 10% local
disadvantaged worker participation, and 20% apprentice
utilization. The USC Village Construction Jobs Collaborative
is committed to providing career-oriented employment
opportunities to local residents to help USC make these goals.
Disadvantaged Workers are those that
have at least 1 of the following barriers
to employment:
• Household income below 50% of the Area Medium Income
• Emanicipated Youth
• Receiving public assistance
• Lacking a GED or high school diploma
• Single parent
• Homeless
• Chronically unemployed or underemployed

Opportunities exist in virtually all trades

Do You Qualify?
To qualify for program entrance you
must live in a Local Area and be a
Disadvantaged Worker.
The Local Area includes the County of Los Angeles.
However dispatch to employers working on the project
is prioritized as follows:
• Tier 1 – within five miles of the project
(1st priority for work)
• Tier 2 –within the City of Los Angeles
(2nd priority for work)
• Tier 3 –within the County of Los Angeles
(3rd priority for work)
