Governors Message
Hello everyone! We had a fantastic time at the Kennedy Meadow's Camp Out! I got
some much needed rest and relaxation! Love to fish and had a lot of fun. Thank you
to Danny Ortega and his crew for cooking, it was a big success!
We've had a few Lodge clean up days that have also been a big success! Thank you
to Hubert and Carol Culpepper for the use of their big dump truck. It made clean up
quite a bit easier. The kids room also looks great! A big thank you to Kenny
Homestead and Steve Sloneker for the hard work on the renovations! If anyone
would like to donate a new toy for the kids, please feel free. The little ones will
appreciate it.
It's hard to thank everyone by name, so just a big thank you to all who come and
enjoy the Lodge. Your participation is key to success.
Remember to check your calendar for upcoming events!
Your Governor, Jack Fussell

Senior Regent
Hello everyone! Well, summer is coming to a close and it's coming too quickly for me!
We had a fantastic time at the Kennedy Meadows camp out. Hopefully everyone who
attended had fun. I don't think I've ever had trout for breakfast, but it was great!
As an end of summer celebration, the Women Board of Officers will be having a
Cowboy BBQ on September 26th. Put on your boots and Stetsons, have some BBQ
chicken and ribs with all the fixin's, and enjoy country music and dancing on the deck.
I'm sure it will be a fun time! Check your Moose tale for details.
There will be a bake sale on the first Taco Tuesday in September put on by the
WOTM. Proceeds of this sale will be used for supplies needed for the High Tea in
October. So many fun events coming up!
Our Women's dinner will be held on Friday the 4th of September. Chairman Marsha
Shipper and her committee will be serving Italian Sausage and Pepper Hoagies with a
multiple choice of salads, and Bread Pudding for desert. There will be a basket raffle
too, so don't miss out!
Our Women's meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at
6:30 pm. Hope to see you there.
Senior Regent, Bonnie Fussell
Moose Shoot
Boy has time flown by. Here we are 7 shoots have been completed and it’s time to pick
the winners, 10 in all.
I would like to thank all the individuals who made these shoots a success. For loading the
trap machines and keeping everything running smoothly – you know your names. Also
everyone who helped at the sign up table and who did the score sheets, without your
help we wouldn’t be able to do this.
Now the last shoot will be on the Second Saturday in September. Also awards
dinner following the shoot with maybe some fun shoots following the regular shoot while
we wait for dinner (Bring extra shells). Anyone who has shot at least one shoot will be
welcome to come to dinner, which is included in your shoot fee. Shooter & guest please
call so we know who you are if you’re not on the list already, so we make sure we have
enough food. Shoot, Dinner and Awards at the Angels Gun Club.

SEPTEMBER MEMBERSHIP REPORT
Good news is, we have a new “25 club" member. Congratulations to TIM GRAY.
Ken Uhl only need 2 more members to move into the “50” division. Several more
members are getting close, including our Governor, Jack Fussell. Keep up the good
enthusiasm guys and gals.
Let’s have a banner year, not only for membership, but I’m sure some of you
remember the fun and fellowship we all had going to the District meetings and we had
the trophy in our lodge more than average, got to keep it most years. Let’s do it again.
Next month’s meeting is in Ebbetts Pass on September 20th @noon. Let’s get up some
car pooling and go visit our friends to the east. Always a lot of fun and the more the
merrier.
We have seen a great increase in our meals and functions. Come out and see why. A
big THANK YOU to our cooks. They are all volunteers.
THANKS, Phillip L. Miller Membership Chairman
Social Quarters Manger Report Welcome Moose members. I hope you are enjoying your summer so far. The Lodge
has had a few clean up parties and we have had great turns outs. One of our projects is the "Kids Room" It is getting a new makeover. It has gotten new carpet and pad, and
will soon have new curtains on the windows. Thanks to Greg & Janice Anderson of Greg's Flooring. The walls have been scrubbed down and some painting has been done. Some new toys have been donated and we are asking for gently used or new
washable toys from our members. The room is being dedicated in memory of Lily Suzanne Keller, she was an inspiration to us all. I would like to Thank our
volunteer bartenders for their hard work, dedication and endless hours to serve the members in the Social Quarters. Thanks for all that you do !!!!
