Who would be the audience for your media product?
Primary audience
Our primary audience for the film opening will be aimed at adults, preferably aged 25 and over. The reason behind this is because as the film is based around the working life, they are more likely to understand and relate to the film.
The way we gathered this information is by doing a survey on Fluid surveys. Here is mine I did:
Film audience research
Results from survey
The survey had 3 age groups and either male or female. The ages ranged from 10 – 13, 14 – 17 and 18 +. There were 5 questions:
1. What is your favourite genre film?2. Are there any genres you dislike? 3. If you don’t like a specific genre, would this prevent you from watching the
film?4. Do you like family genres?5. What was the last genre film you watched?
The genders that did the survey was a well balanced however the age range varied.
