The “Segreto di Pulcinella”
• Pulcinella is a figure from the Italian Commedia dell’Arte
• In a popular lazzi someone tells Pulchinella a secret. Incapable of keeping secrets, Pulchinella passes it on to all the other actors, but engenders them not to tell anybody – because it’s a secret!
• After a while everybody – members of teh cast, the audience – know what the secret is.
But the play goes on…
