Rakshabandhan Celebrations14th August 2019

Monthly Diabetic Camp at KEM Hospital 24th August 2019
9 patients underwent routine blood sugar testing and 13 patients were provided insulin.
Awards
Felicitation of ASHA and ANM nurses 21st August 2019
FIL and MMF have been working towards training of ASHA and ANM in the field of mid-wifry
and first aid. 1060 ASHA and ANM nurses were felicitated for their remarkable contribution to
transforming lives of patients. Each of them were awarded with a cash voucher of Rs. 1000/-
each.
On this occasion, specialists from renowned hospital such as Sancheti Hospital, KEM Hospital
and Prashanti Cancer Care Mission Pune addressed the audience on various issues such as
diabetes, cerebral Palsy and Breast Cancer.

Three new initiatives to support patients have been undertaken in this month
1. Support to Leukemia, Thalassemia, and Solid tumor patients at Bharati Hospital along with
extending ongoing support for cataract surgeries.
2. Support to Thalassemia Society for patients

An Update
Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation signed an MOU with BAIF institute for
sustainable livelihoods and Development (BISLD) for the ‘Empower Women Farmers as
Changemakers in Agriculture’ project proposes to closely work with women farmers to
develop their capacities on improved agriculture practices.

• 10 villages of Sangali district: - Burli, Amanpur, Vitthalwadi, Dudhundi, Tupari, Dhangaon,
Ankalkhop, Palus, Redewadi, Suregaon.

• Lunch and dinner over five days in Khadki-Bopodi and Shivaji nagar approx. 750 people( Every Day )
• Grocery KITs and vegetables (Rice-Dal-Mirch Powder-sugar-oil-tea powder-Salt-
Aata-Phenyl and mosquito coil) provided to 1110 victims in Khadaki-Bopodi and
Vishrantwadi Ankalkhop, Palus, Redewadi, Suregaon.
Sangli
• 5000 blankets distributed in 7 Villages of Sangli district
• 2 trucks sponsor for transporting foods, medicines and clothing’s to families of Shirol Dist. Kolhapur. 300 volunteers supported the collection and sorting of donations.
• Grocery packets (Rice-Dal-Mirch Powder-sugar-oil-tea powder-Salt-Aata-Phenyl and mosquito coil) in Sangli for 750 Families along with 200 beddings to Suregaon (Mattress, Bed sheet, Pillow with cover, Blanket, towel)

Updates from Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya, Ratnagiri16th August – Orange Day
Orange day was observed with children dressed in orange color. The children did many
classroom activities using the colour orange as a theme and learnt interesting facts about it
Gopalkala Celebrations23rd August 2019
The students enacted childhood scenes of Lord Krishna, while teachers, along with kids,
sang aarti and bhajans. A short skit was interspersed with dances followed by the`Matki
Todh', which happened amidst much enthusiasm. The school wore a festive look as the
students came dressed in colourful attires as Lord Krishna and Radha.
